I've long suspected that Guthrie is a closet FOXbot.

Norah O'Donnell, on the other hand, seems to have her head on straight.

What the heck are the executives doing at MSNBC?? Fox is as successful as they are because it's available to many more people. Don't buy into this crap about how that brand of news and those point of views are what's popular. Believe me, they're not. The TPARTY/TBAGGERS are NOT mainstream. Maybe seeing Harry Reid get reelected with make you idiots in the media realize that. There's no reason to have someone lie or make assumptions that aren't based or backed up by facts on MSNBC. Joe Scarborough wouldn't do it, so why does Amanda Guthrie?

Excellent post. Could it be that MSNBC and the other real News Networks are falling prey to the TV Entertainment attitude that success must be imitated? Just look at the sickening explosion of Reality TV (one of my pet peeves). Somebody demonstrated that it was cheap and potentially profitable, and suddenly we are bombarded with mind-numbing bickering and back-stabbing.

FOX found a formula that makes money, or at least appears to. Now the other News Outlets, starving for profitability, are inclined to blindly follow their lead. If they don't stop, they could kill an already anemic Television News Industry.

I'll ask the question again, what did Guthrie say that was not accurate. Be specific please.

        Just in case...

. . . I had a revealing moment during a trip to Colorado last week, I was sitting in the motel day room eating my "continental breakfast" (who the Fk came up with that name?) and Fox was on the TV, I hear from the back of the room, "please, please turn that off" and everyone nodded in agreement, with a murmuring "thankyou"

as I and my wife talked to different people from Texas, Utah, Indiana, Montana, I was really surprised, "enough was enough"

this may anecdotal evidence but my theory of the public places being owned by FOX was sort of altered

when enough is enough, we all have the option to flip the off switch.

Hey -- hope you had a great time in Colorado! Good to see there are a few folks in the state that have their brains on. Doesn't always feel that way, I can assure you. :)

I've always have said the Morning Joe is to much like Fox News. Look at the morning panel. I believe MSNBC are cohorts of Fox media.

Can anyone point out exactly what Guthrie said that was wrong? I can't believe I am defending anyone at MSNBC but this thread by the gnats at mmfa is just stupid.

that being said , it is true that the MSDNS had had trouble with their female reporters and hosts. Mika admits that they get their talking points directly from the WH and lets not forget this hilarious moment...

But one point that the gnats will not point out is how critical Obama was of Bush using the recess appointments, I guess he feels he does not have to live up to the standards he sets for others.

So, fair, are you for or against recess appointments? Simple question, answer at your leisure.

Love how you keep showing the stupid, fairliberal. Again, you are one of the most uninformed people I've ever seen and that includes seahawks. Turn off the television and get a life, FL. There's a beautiful world out there, contrary to what you've been hearing on Fox. Live.

Bush used recess appointments 171 times. And your not a fair liberal, your a troll. Who cares what Mika says?, I'm pretty sure only Joe Scarborough does. Even if the talking points were coming from the WH, at least their true. Your right wing nutbag talking points are comprised of absolutely NO TRUTH. I think all "fair liberals" should GFTS:)

For some reason, O'Reilly's No. 1 fan believes that other people have the same sort of obsession with cable opinion network entertainers that she does. It's very sad, if you think about it.

Obama criticized Bush's recess appointment of Bolton to the U.N., fairliberal. His reasons were sound. 1) No U.N. Ambassador had ever been appointed by recess appointment and 2) Bolton's open and very public disdain of the United Nations made him a very unusual choice for that position. Obama and several REPUBLICAN Senators, including Trent Lott and George Voinovich, felt that the United States would lose any credibility it had with the member nations if someone with Bolton's sentiments were named as U.N. Ambassador without confirmation. Recess appointments are temporary. These folks felt that it was counter-productive.

There's no such thing as the United Nations. If the U.N. secretary building in New York lost 10 stories, it wouldn't make a bit of difference.
        John Bolton

Yep, great choice for U.N. Ambassador.
