Right...and everybody who receives a welfare check is black, has twelve illegitimate children and drives a new Cadillac.

Does FOX ever delve into, like...real news? Or is FOX dedicated to just the perpetuation of of right wing myths?

      Sorry...dumb question. Very dumb question...

This guy isn't an economist. Why is K asking him about the economic stimulus of unemployment benefits. He can't even connect the dots from the unemployed having money to buy daily necessities to job creation. How will those manufacturing jobs be created if people don't buy their products. Idiot.

As for Kilmeade, I'd like to see him out of a job. Heartless idiot.

Brian, I really, really wish that you were unemployed. Instead, you are a Murdoch parasite.

Have you ever considered what value you actually add to society, Brian?

Knowing a bunch of people who got laid off last year, and the year before, and being one myself who had to move 500 miles away to FIND another job, folks are trying to find jobs. They're not just laying about, living the good life on unemployment.

      These guys are such jokes.

I can only imagine that the Fox viewers who are unemployed themselves, there HAS to be a tleast some, and also I'll include the older viewers who are getting a pension from the government, and also Medicaid right?

When they hear people on Fox saying this, or stuff like lets privatise or get rid of them programmes, the unemployed and older viewers agree under the illusion that Fox aren't talking about THEIR benefits, only the lazy people, who won't look for work. I'll avoid saying they think of only black or latin americans as lazy unemployed people because I don't wanna call everyone racist.

My point is, I'm sure the Fox viewers don't realise that when Fox, and Limbaugh and Beck, talks about these things, their viewers aren't exceptions because their "patriotic" or because their "the folks".

I agree, I don't think the Fox viewers who are unemployed relate to these things, they probably consider themselves "special", and not like those other lazy folks.

There's another possibility that comes to mind, especially with all of the hate, almost envy, I hear from right wingers when they talk about those on the lavish gravy train that is unemployment insurance; They may be people whose capabilities only provide them an income that is about the same as what more competent people receive in UI.

The Fox mythology appeals to victims and underachievers, that's the only way to understand those who are angry at others raking in the paltry unemployment checks.

That's exactly right Andy and Opopop. Fox viewers have the ability to understand that when Fox talks about those people who are unemployed, they don't mean loyal Fox viewers. When Fox talks about illegal immigrants, they don't mean the ones hired by Fox viewers to clean their houses. When Fox talks about those people desiring affordable health care, they don't mean the fox viewers or their kids.

My wingnut friends went on a small vacation with my wife and I recently. They spent the time lamenting the fact that their children can't afford health insurance. They told us how their trying to get legal help to get their house cleaner's immigration status changed.

I was good. I didn't say a word. Not a peep. Even when the same person who called me a coward 5 years ago for being against Bush's wars, told us that no young people should fight our wars, just the older people who support the wars.

I was going to ask her when she and her husband were shipping out to Iraq or Afghanistan, but like I already said, I was good. I didn't open my mouth.

Some people ARE just laying about, living off unemployment.

Most unemployment offices are so overwhelmed right now that all someone has to do is assert every two weeks that they are looking for work, and that's good enough. They only do random checks of a few people, so many people can get by with lying about actually being diligent about looking for work.

But that doesn't really matter anyway! When unemployment is so high, it doesn't matter if Person A is a slacker, and so Person B, who diligently looks for work gets the job and Person A stays on unemployment, or if Person A and Person B both look for work, and Person A gets the job and Person B stays on unemployment. There's still one person employed and one person unemployed!

The REASON they say this is because they don't want to address the issue that there AREN'T enough jobs to go around. So they pretend that if only there weren't lazy people, we wouldn't have this problem

And THAT'S why I always, always, always make the point that there almost certainly ARE lazy people around - BUT IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE.

I don't doubt that you're right... but another point is that they make it sound like these Unemployment checks are some kind of bounty.

In California, the maximum unemployment payment is $450/week

My friend was making $92,000/yr... with a wife who works and 2 kids and a mortgage, they have been forced to file for bankruptcy (something that thanks to Bush's new rules encourages unemployment as well) and are in danger of losing their home.

When you are accustomed to taking home $1200/week, dropping to $450 is a barely livable situation.

He hasn't found a job yet and his is by no means lazy. Right now, there are so many qualified unemployed people out there, employers have a ridiculous advantage right now when it comes to hiring.

Bill Achhmoody works for a temporary employment service. In southern states people working for temporary employment companies do not get unemployment benefit.Bill Archmoody,of partner staffing knows he is telling lies.Temporary employment companies take advantage of people with no where else to go.(low wages) Temporary employment services cut pay and benefits buy encouraging employers to hire through them,so they can cut benefits, and wages.Temporary employment companies make a lot of money hiring dope addicts, and drunks they pay low wages daily.Temporary employment companies are one the most effective tools republicans, and so-called conservatives have used to destroy the USA's middle class.

Fox News proves once again that it is expert at barrel-bottom scraping when looking for somebody to agree with its take on the issues. Check out the website for partnershipstaffing.com. The guy runs a small temp agency for "lite" industrial jobs. Not an economist and not someone who is interested in people finding permanent jobs. Did Fox just look online or in a phone directory for this guy? Is he Brian Kilmeade's golf buddy?

. . . how does this work, unemployment cut off, I can't pay my small bills to local businesses, and there are many people who can't do the same, the small business suffers, it lays off workers, who now can't pay their bills, we are all pooled together as deadbeats who do not want to work while fighting for the most menial of jobs.

The small businesses look to foreign workers, legal or illegal, with even lower wages, to replace us temporarily, crime rates rise, we are hired to build our own prisons. The unemployment situation gets better as more and more debtor prisons are built. We export all our unemployed to India or China thus destabilizing their economies.

      see, the system works!

The truth of what you say is undeniable. Yet, the FOXbot Troglodytes cannot concede the stimulative effect of unemployment checks because they're fully invested in opposing every f***ing thing the Democrats propose.

My best friend looked for a job for a full year . . . during that time, she enrolled in classes to aquire more skills, she didn't party [kind of hard to party on unemployment benefits] and she prayed a lot. No drinking, no drugs, just unemployed.

These people are total jerks. Turning Americans against each other simply to promote a political club.

      It bears repeating...

Memo to unemployed conservatives who have been fruitlessly searching for work: Your party and your pundits don't give a **** about you. To them, you are all lazy and addicted to drugs.

      Have a nice day.
