First, I wonder how many of his viewers have kids with pre-existing conditions?

Second, I wonder how many of his viewers with kids with -re-existing conditions would reject the coverage they can get for their kids based on this tool's advice?

I ask these questions because it's been my observation that in the case of some on the right, it has to become personal before it is considered to be important.

          Absolutely.

Following a liver transplant, my father had his insurance coverage yanked by his insurance carrier after it suddenly set a ceiling on his coverage - coverage that was necessary to pay for monthly $1200+ costs for anti-rejection medication.

Had it not been for govt-run safety nets like the VA and Medicare, he would have had zero option except to sit down and wait to die.

Beck and others like him seriously need to shut up, and understand how issues like health reform impact people in the real world.

Amen to that. Beck is a sociopath, living in the rarefied world of millionaires. He is 100% clueless on what his words mean or the kind of suffering that is going on around him.

On the contrary, I think he is very well aware of the suffering and misery his views inflict on others. He simply doesn't care because, as cugo mentioned, it isn't personal. If he were to have to rely on the private insurance system he'd change his tune pretty quickly, ala Nancy Reagan suddenly proclaiming support for Stem Cell Research.

Beck is an evil, manipulative, dangerous man. He's more than happy to inflict suffering on an untold number of people by advocating his views (which he doesn't live by anyway). He knows what he's doing, he knows what he's suggesting is evil. He simply doesn't give a good God damn because what he's doing now makes him money and gives him power, all without having to sacrifice or stand up for others at all.

I'm not sure what you're saying. That somebody would argue that your parent don't wish they had been insured when they discovered your condition?

Jesus and I both hate the increasing use of the "slavery" theme from all of these pathetic right wing whiners who can't seem to pull their weight in our society.

There aren't any shackles or chains. You guys are free to leave the country at any time. Aren't you the ones constantly screeching about our wide-open borders ?

Glenny The Patriot Act is more of a chain around our necks then the Healthcare Law is. In fact Glenny I would much rather have a single payer non-for-profit healthcare system in this country.

It's not a chain around our necks. We voted for this. We can only blame ourselves. It's a chain around the generation not born yet who had no say in this nonsense, but will be paying for it.

But that corporate beartrap is what America is, thats what they want when they say they want their country back, as longas those few corporate bosses make millions and billions on top of their already millions and/or billions holding bank accounts, ye're collective leg can rot and die for all anyone cares.

Thats a proud America Beck and his followers want.

Those poor brainwashed !d!ots need psychiatrists.

My god. He's right. There's OBSCENE PROFITS TO BE MADE! It doesn't matter about the substance of how/who/why they're getting rich. Or the conditions or human suffering that they cause in the process. CLASS WARFARE!

All that matters is that Obama is.. sorta/kinda creating a loophole-riddled bill, that everyone agrees is too weak, that may or may not slow SOME of the crazy practices of the Wall Street bankers!

      ...He's ripping our country apart!
