Why is it tough to go down on Japanese businessmen with Obama as president? Do you keep imagining him at key moments? Or are you just saying that, because you're a whiner with no sense of personal responsibility, your all-consuming hatred of the duly-elected president makes it hard to focus on whatever sh!tty job your uncle got you?

President Obama should get a medal for braving the crowds on Mount Desert Island. Honest to God every Winnebago and RV within 1000 miles is currently chugging up traffic and blue smoking MDI's beauty. Though I guess if he's got his own helicopter and tourist trap security team things probably weren't so bad. Seriously at least he didn't get stuck in a sand trap like President Taft, what's the deal with portly Republicans, and their predilection to gluttony and sloth?

The President is blaming Republicans for not wanting to extend the benefits all the while they have presented their own bill but with spending cuts in other areas. I know that is foreign to you libs, the spending cuts. It is Obama's economy now no matter how you libs don't want to admit it. So, the next time they run out and the time after that and the time after that are you libs actually going to put your foot down and say enough? The economy will never recover under your Anointed One so that scenario will happen.

Not to mention that Most rational, Christian people are supportive of families having some money so they can feed their kids. I know that seems like a luxury to folks like Rush, but alas, it is my minimal requirement for all, even though I have to pay the taxes. But of course, some selfish oaf like Rush no doubt gets his goodies thinking that some little kid does not get enough to eat. You can certainly look at him and KNOW that never happened to him. He who is without compassion is without any sense of community. Rush is to be pittied for his total silliness.

Unemployment insurance is temporary income for eligible workers who become unemployed through no fault of their own and who are ready, willing, and able to work.

It's interesting that you confused the Heritage Foundation and the WSJ, Rush. Considering the WSJ is now owned by Daddy Murdoch, there really isn't much difference between them, is there? By the way, after the Royals let you go, how long was it that YOU were collecting unemployment, Rush?

Gee Mr. Creosote, I could tell you a thing or two about trying to live on unemployment. Especially when it is around half of what you are used to earning. If you lost your job, I'll wager you couldn't live on unemployment but then you wouldn't need to now would you?

I love it how these faux conservatives think that the word "liberal" is somehow a pejorative. Political ideologies are based on values . . . neither conservatism nor liberalism are inherently good or bad . . . they're just how an individual feels about some things. Excerpt for the article:

"The former Republican president is blamed more than President Barack Obama for the budget deficit, unemployment and illegal immigration, according to a Bloomberg National Poll conducted July 9-12."

I like facts. This Bloomberg article in the link lays it out in black and white who Americans think is responsible for the mess this country is in.

Read it and weep, and stop spouting your rw BS.

And the Heritage Foundation and the rest of the liars can go suck 2 year old sun rottened eggs.

Interesting that the Troglodytes have chosen the Social Darwinist argument. They could probably score some legitimate points with the deficit spending vs. stimulus money argument, but they've gone down this rabbit hole instead. I wonder why?

I guess that's what happens when the lizard-brains take over a political party.

OMG/BJF, you are such a card! What political ideology do you claim? I've never seen a single true conservative thought by you here, ever. Just snark and hatefulness. You're not a conservative, just a groupie.

The fact that you are defending someone who has NO compassion for anyone at all by questioning the compassion of others is laughable.

Well bintx, how 'bout this? I believe in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These are conservative values that have been chipped away at for decades by the Left. BHO has increased our debt MORE then Bush did in eight years and we haven't even yet felt the wrath of Obamacare, cap and trade, and some other programs he wants to pass in order to move us more towards socialism.

Regarding unemployment benefits, I think they are justified and completely legit. Only thing I question is how long they should be paid. Year after year is too long. There must be a cut off time. And, as I recall, employees don't directly pay for unemployment insurance. Employers do. That is why I asked your two friends for proof.

              Liberals:

Life: About 50 million babies killed in America

Liberty: Government take over of the banks, auto industry, health care, et. al.

Pursuit of happiness: Tax, tax, tax in an attempt to cover the unprecedented deficit spending by the Left. Tough to be happy when you are broke.

Life: There have never been "50 million babies killed in America". That's a lie.

Liberty: The government hasn't taken over any industries. Another lie.

Pursuit of happiness: Bush took the country from record surpluses to record deficit in order to enrich his cronies. Another lie.

We do have compassion for our fellow men, but they need to be forced to accept that they f***ed up BIG TIME instead of trying to pretend that everything they did turned out honky dory for everyone, and their mistakes can be passed on to the next president, absolving them of bearing the responsibility for their mistakes.

I'm an adult, and the only fairy tales I like are the ones meant for kids. I'm just as concerned about what happens to my tax money as anyone else, and I hate being lied to.

Please do not call me a worker. I am an employee, businessman, associate... but not a worker and definitely not an 'eligible worker'. These are terms used by Communist and Socialist countries. Thank God the USA is not there yet.

"Worker" means "one who works". If that doesn't apply to you (given how you're spending your Tuesday afternoons, I wouldn't be surprised), I won't call you that, but I refuse to submit to your... what is it you people call it? Ah, yes, "politically correct thuggery".

The only way not to be classified as a worker is to be unemployed.

The term worker has been used in this country since the beginning of its' history, but now for some "unknown" reason, the term worker is associated with socialism. The most important thing to me before I retired was that I could be classified as a worker. There's zero shame in being called a worker.

I wonder how many times you've actually said, "It's almost time for me to go to work."

I figure you didn't say choose to say, "It's time for me to go to employee/associate, businessman."

Ignorance should be classified as a mental disease.
