On CNN, RedState's Erickson says Sherrod "was taken out of context" and labeled as a racist

ERICKSON: For years, it's been very easy to label a conservative a racist for disagreeing with the left and have them driven from the stage. Unfortunately, Shirley Sherrod today has become a victim of that.
KING: But is she a victim because an angry activist on the right took her out of context or didn't at least give her time and fairness? Two wrongs don't make a right.
ERICKSON: Oh, absolutely. I think that she was taken out of context. Two wrongs don't make a right. But, again, this is what happens routinely by the left to the right.

For God's sake, Mr. President, cut this crap out NOW. STOP jumping to appease the people who will NEVER support you NO MATTER WHAT whenever they snap their fingers. This is getting really disgusting, and I can't find a way to defend this.
I hate to say it, but the more likely outcome is that Sherrod joins Van Jones, ACORN, etc. in the "Sorry Conservatives Who Don't Like Me Told Me You Had To Go" pile, and that she'll have more company there in a few months, if not weeks.
I'll make a prediction: The first time the president publicly tells Beck/Breitfart et al. to eat it, maybe offers to give Beck something he can really cry about, his approval rating will jump past 70%.
He has mananged to co-opt the republican "see, they do it too" mantra over this forced resignation and in the future will show this as an example be it of left wing intolerance of people who are not racist and will claim that the next right wing scumbag who does or says a racist thing is actually not, JUST LIKE SHERROD THEY SHOULD BE APOLOGISED TO.
Just wait for it too occour.
As l said before, as soon as the White House accepted Van Jones's resignation the floodgates were opened, and all is linked to a stupid attempt at keeping the door open for bi-partizanship with people who from day one set out their agenda, destroy this present administration.
President Obama may have surrounded himself with intellegent people but the sad fact is, these guys are not up to the task of taking on the republican media machine and their skills at ratfcuking.
These are supposed to be Chicago politicians who know how to fight dirty when it is needed.
How does the saying go again?
"They bring a knife, you bring a gun.
They put one of yours in the hospital, you put one of theirs in the morgue."
With these bunch of bed wetters its more like "They bring a knife, you bring them a coffee."
Sad and pathetic but worst of all people on the left are starting to doubt that this administration either has the backbone for the fight or the courage to stand up for their own.
I also saw he (or was it Briebart?) said this was all for vengeance on the NAACP for calling out the teabaggers.
Sure, the White House should smack them down, and reinstate Sherrod. But people in the media should call Erickson, Briebart and the rest out as well; John King asked good questions, but he didn't seem interested in following up. He didn't want to call a spade a spade; or in this case, a redneck a redneck.
