The media ignores Bill O'Reilly, too.

      Both are good things.

That litany of BS "stories", Bill, is Exhibit A as to why 90% of America hates your guts.

You're right about one thing, though, and that's that journalism in America is in dire straits. But mostly for its unwillingness to call out the Fox network on the crap it peddles.

I'll give CNN credit on the Sherrod story for finally growing a pair and making sure the truth is actually reported.

On Hardball tonight, Chris Matthews predicted that O'Reilly was going to correct his previous night's comments and show the full context of Sherrod's speech. Memo to Chris Matthews: O'Reilly never admits any wrongdoing! He never retracts any thing! In fact O'reilly dug in deeper against Ms. Sherrod tonight, and smeared her more tonight than he did last night.

"The Media", other than the channel he finds himself on, actually INVESTIGATED. This time, they actually LOOKED at the WHOLE video, after getting caught in the hushed-up after-story on the whole Wright "leaked video" - one that was edited to just include the bad stuff, and not the part where IT WAS A QUOTE of some pale-skinned neoconservative.

I am glad that the whole story came out, that "The Media" didn't just swallow the whole fishing boat that had the fisher-person with the pole the line that had the sinker and hook attached to (I think I put that together right, kinda convoluted) like they did with the last "leaked" racist person of African descent video.

Who knows, perhaps they will put together a special on how certain parties are selectively editing or cropping for the express purpose, or apparent intent of, making the current President (or at the time, candidate) look bad.
