It's always nice to see the only journalist on Fox News retaining his integrity.

I'll say it again, Shep Smith shows that he is the only consistent shining star at Fox that I've seen in all these clips. I don't know how he's lasted as long as he has, not buying into all of Fox's conspiracy theories.

He's been at the network since the beginning. I believe he is the only host that has immunity at the network. He may even have some ownership in newscorp. It appears as if he can truly operate with common sense and not fear the consequences. He may still be very right leaning in his views but at least he appears to represent the values of a true conservative republican. One with common sense.

Why is this guy still at Fox? He is the only one there with an ounce of credibility.

No doubt, some troll is going to parachute in here and ask "Where's the Conservative misinformation?"

Everyone just feel free to ignore them when they do.

For misinformation to exist, there must be information to begin with.

...unless of course you are dealing with Faux, who make it a practice to put out the 'mis' portion ala carte... and leave the information part hanging...

This reminds me of what I've read about matter and anti-matter. If they are brought into close proximity of one another, each goes out of existence. So how can this articulate actual JOURNALIST co-exist with the clown college that is Fox Gnus?

      I wonder if Shep's a Murdoch hire.

Perhaps they keep him around so when Fox get called on for what they are, the powers that be can point to Shep and say "look! integrity! Fox News!"

Shep is like the only adult in a room full of 13 year-olds at Fox News. Thanks Shep.

I would not be too surprised to see Shep leave Fox soon. How about Larry King's slot?

There was another good Fox News journalist--the one who aired the series about Mossad spies posing as artists and allegedly jumping with joy at the sight of the burning Twin Towers. Sadly, Fox cancelled the series before it ended. The website whatreallyhappened.com saved the series, luckily. You can watch it here:

This shows that journalism in general has sunk so low that, when Shep Smith says he didn't run something because he didn't trust the source, he is held up as some kind of modern day Walter Cronkite. Come on, the dude still gets his paycheck from Fox "News".
