The Rupert Murdoch propaganda machine get bitch slapped by everyone from CNN to the Weekly Standard calling for an apology from Breitbart.

Fox just isn't a "news" organization, they're pure far right Murdoch propaganda, nothing more.

        My thoughts, exactly.

Maybe the MSM is about to acknowledge that simple fact.

To be honest media organizations, yes, they should acknowledge the fact Fox isn't "news".
          I couldn't agree more.

Do you mean those honest media organizations that don't believe that the panther story shouldn't be covered, or the acorn crooks. Who cares? But Sarah Palin's wardrobe, wow big news.

Luckily the viewing public knows better, and apparently the spineless Obama administration also knows , they fired Sherrod even before anyone on the Fox News Channel even covered the story.

I'd like to think that Fox will get b!tch-slapped from this, but I will write you a personal guarantee that they will be separated from Breitbart in the MSM before prime time today in order to not get Fox p!ssed at them. Sure, they play the clips from O'Reilly/Hannity/Kelly/Etc now, but Fox will be cleared soon enough--that's probably why Shep Smith is crying his crocodile tears so prodigiously this afternoon...

As a post script to this, the really sad fact of the matter is, those that support Breitbart and his blog will continue to do so, this will make no difference. The same goes for those who buy into the propaganda on FNC. A possible upside (but I ain't gonna hold my breath) is that maybe the way CNN handled this and the way they just slapped FNC will cause other national media outlets to grow a spine when dealing with the BS that comes from FNC.

The ongoing narrative around the Troglodyte campfires will be that Britefart was right; that the NAACP members listening to Sherrod's story were yelling "Hell, yeah" and "kill Whitey" before they knew the real point of her story. Our local Hate Radio Jock was exploring that avenue early this morning.

Now that Sherrod's been exonerated, that's all they have left.

Then get ready for the rest of the cycle -- the part where they forget all about how wrong they were, and find some other vehicle with which to cry the same tears for their by-gone imaginary White America.

WE are the ones who insist on having evidence for our views, and on deciding for ourselves what those views are. They just have the views they are told to have, regardless of the "evidence," and the fact that they don't need evidence to maintain their (faith-based) beliefs lets them completely change the "evidence" when it proves wrong, and STILL keep their nonsense beliefs.

Am I the only one that's in utter shock that it was CNN who engaged in fact-finding ahead of everyone else? I completely expected them to treat it as a legitimate controversy even after the accusations against Sherrod were proven false.

Well, I gotta give credit where credit is due. Good job Sanchez and everyone at CNN who lifted the Fox/Breitbart veil. Keep acting like reporters more consistently and I'll stop calling you an impotent news network.

This is great. But underneath it is a feeling that the media wouldn't be ripping Fox this much if, throughout this incident, the White House and Vilsack didn't have egg on their faces as well. That fact gives the media some cover. They can also report that the White House bungled the whole thing, and that gives them their beloved "balance" and immunity from being totally vilified by the right.

Well, there's this little thing in the law called "proximate cause." Breitbart and his benefactors OWN this one. Doesn't matter that folks who relied upon this false information have "egg on their faces." Breitbart and whomever his benefactors are CAUSED this mess. But for their actions, none of this would have ever happened.

"Proximate cause" means that cause which, in a natural and continuous sequence, produces an event, and without which cause such event would not have occurred. In order to be a proximate cause, the act or omission complained of must be such that a person using ordinary care would have foreseen that the event, or some similar event, might reasonably result therefrom. There may be more than one proximate cause of an event.

The term "proximate cause" was foreign to me, but in any case I agree with you. They caused it, they own it. Now if only the media will place the blame squarely where it belongs.

Very good point, it shows clearly that the lies told by the 3 democratic congressmen and the head of the NAACP, Ben Jealous had consequences that they should have forseen, and thus this whole situation is in their laps. Eventually lies come back to haunt you, I hope those liars learn their lesson.

ClusterFox just doesn't happen to be a news organization.

It is on topic, why should the rantings of a drunk be considered. And BTW, when some of your liberal pals here bring up the history of alcohol abuse by certain people on the right do you consider it off topic? Have you ever once questioned those actions? After all you are a fair person, right?

So you agree that the history of the person making the decision is important and should be taken into consideration?

Then why would you come to this site and spend so much time defending an ex alcoholic coke addict, a man who sexually harrassed a woman while sexually stimulating himself with what he mistakenly called a Falafel, and worst of all the obese, racist, mysoginistic, thrice divorced, sex-holidaying, half deaf convicted drug addict with his golden microphone?

Wow, it seems you feel pretty strongly about people with a history of drugs and alcohol in their background. You must be really upset at a political party that venerates a political family of sex addicts, one of which killed a woman due to his addiction to both sex and drugs. And I wonder how you feel about Obama's history of drug use? Care to comment?

Sanchez must have been a Ted Kennedy fan, he too left the scence of the accident that ultimately cost a man his life. His drunkenness was responsible for the paralysis and ultimate death of an innocent person. But he is on your side so it is OK, standards and responsibility are for the other guys.

Let's talk about everybody in the world whose name we can think of who is rumored to have had an addiction issue, even if they are dead. Because fairliberal would rather talk about anything else in the world besides the role of Fox News in disseminating this lie to its viewers. What a useful tool you are!

I can only ask you again, if you are this critical when all your liberal pals bring up the very same issues involving people on the right. You libs are the most hypocritical folks on the planet.

And as Howard Kurtz and Matt Lauer anomg others have pointed out, Fox did handle the story responsibly. The fact is that your hero Barry fired Sherrod before Fox even put the story on the air. What a spineless twit. And the NAACP criticized her before they even watched their own video. What a thorough job they did. Perhaps they even planned the whole issue, after all, it was their function that Sherrod was speaking at, their members, their guests, their tape , their kind. Someone in their ranks leaked it to Breitbart, no one else had access to it. Brietbart is the victim, and Sherrod's comments show her to be a racist. She may be better than she was years ago, but her racism still lingers and comes to the surface at times. The proof is in the video.

Now Breitbart is a victim? Did someone hold a gun to his head and force him to put the video on his website? Did they glue his fingers to his keyboard to make him type those lies on his blog? I just love the way he takes no personal responsibility for his actions, and you are irresponsible enough to go along with him.

Now I understand your obsession with drinking, because you've got to be drunk yourself.

I'm just wondering when are you guys gonna stop saying it's on both sides? The left does it just like the right when you know that it not true. This racist attitude started back when President Obama was running for President. McCain and Palin was egging on this race issue then. They may not have called him the "N" word but they were calling names that they could get away with and everyone knows that. Their campaigns started getting more racist with all the names they called Obama and they knew what they were doing. People walking around with racist signs, monkeys and bananas because Palin/McCain got it started. When Obama won they were mad, disappointed and that's when the so-called tea party got started. They just starting using big government, healthcare, or anything they could think of to put Obama down and make him look bad and you guys know this but you're too scared to tell the truth. Where was the tea party when George Bush was doing all the damage to this party, nowhere to be found that's because he was a white man in the white house so no one cared. Now there is a black man in the white house and they do not like it and you guys know that.
