Let's hope he and his cohorts are "raptured" right then and there. Hell, count me among the lucky few that want to be left behind. Maybe then we'd have a chance to restore civilization. Jesus is coming . . . look busy.

A bite of the apple. Interesting that.

Was that not humanity's first sin? Was that not the original act of defiance against God's will? Weren't Adam and Eve expelled from paradise for their blatant violation of Eden's one and only law?

Methinks somebody's telling us he's been talking with a serpent.

My guess. His blindness has been cured.

I've been a tad suspicious of this claim since seeing the clip of him revealing this during one of his stage shows (complete with tears--go figure).

Or he'll invite those suffering from leprosy to join him on stage so that they may be cured by the healing touch of the Beck.

I normally wouldn't be so cold and cynical concerning anyone's suffering, but all things Beck are viewed with a huge amount of skepticism.

If there is to be a "miracle" I have little doubt it will have been planned in advance, and carefully choreographed, with all the proper lighting, and background music. Cue the miracle, boys.

This would be a classic Faith Healer scam. Pretend to cure a phantom illness that conveniently cannot be seen. He may even produce a "doctor" to verify the cure.

If you watch Faith Healers in action, they avoid the unfortunate people with obvious deformities, missing limbs, etc. They like to cure things like arthritis, poor hearing, ulcers... diseases you can't see.

Now, if Nostradumbass levitates the Lincoln Memorial, I'll start going to church.

Glennie, most people don't like to bite road apples, let alone a second time. I've lost all respect for your boy, Patty. He sees you as a good person? He's blind or stupid, or maybe just as evil as you are. Glennie, you are not a good and decent person. It's great that you tell people to quit lying and do good things, but you should be doing it, too, instead of exploiting their attempts as goodness. The real miracle on 8/28 would be your realizing what a malevolent fraud you are, and walking away from you, no makr that running away. The devil can quote scripture, too.

If 1,000 people show up, Beck will call it 24,000 and say that them coming together to stand against tyranny was miraculous.

I doubt that. I'm sure Lincoln would welcome him with open arms. If you've read/listened to some of Glenn Beck's books/tv show/radio releating to Lincoln you would come to the conclusion that Glenn has the upmost respect for him and the rest of the founding fathers. That is why he is holding this rally (non-political) "Leave your signs at home.." to restore honor.

But it's hard to get that premise across to you since you've already made up your mind and fail to see what America is about and what it was founded on.

(I doubt this will even make it up to the board, even though it violates none of rules, just expressing my OPINION to you.)

Has anyone noticed this is always at the bottom of wingnut posts? NightHawk, a word: just because Rush and Sean and Glenn say this site is "nazi hitler incarnate max infinity" doesn't mean that's necessarily so.

Also, Glenn may have the utmost respect for Lincoln, but he falls way short of the ideals Lincoln expressed. Calling everyone a Nazi or racist does not bode well for civil discourse (and don't give me that "but you have to listen to his show" crap. I listen to him and his creepy voice-mimicking sidekicks every chance I get.)

I avoid religious shows like the plague. Is this a real televangelist or a parody? The first time I ever saw Tammy Faye Bakker, I thought I had found a parody program. It took several viewings before I realized she was serious, and seriously disturbed. I thought she needed to be hospitalized and sedated.

Asking an aging audience to go to Washington on a day that's sure to have temperatures in excess of 90 degrees Fahrenheit (and all for his own self-aggrandizement) is a bit much. He should put his money where his mouth is by bringing his own privately-contracted EMT's and not rely on socialistic public services.

Of course, no one else gets a second chance, right, Glenn? Anything negative anybody has said or done in the last 40 years is fair game, and unforgivable.

I've got some bad news, Glenn. You are not living a righteous life.

You are now facing satanic powers, huh, Glenn? This is completely insane stuff that you're saying. Seriously, wow, this rant is completely crazy.

      Okay, I will pray.

      Dear Lord,

Please, please God, please find a way, if it is Your will, not to have this man influence or be any part of the public discourse in our country after August 28, 2010. Don't hurt him, just make him stop. I ask this in Jesus' name.

      Amen

And amen. The righteous life... that phrase caught my ear too. And the usual thoughts swirled into motion: does he really believe what he just said? Or does he just want me to believe he believes it?

And the swirling ends in the usual place: he really doesn't care. His worshippers will believe it, and that is what has kept him in the money for so long.

I'm expecting a miracle on 8/28 as well, only i doubt it's the same one as Beck. I actually believe in miracles: he only believes in the stupidity of his public.

I'm hoping for a revelation to everyone who has ever believed in this sh!thouse, to everyone who has ever been indifferent to him or not considered him truly dangerous. I hope and pray that the scales fall from our eyes and we all see him for what he is.

And that we make him pay. Death or pain won't do it. The best punishment for Glenn Beck would be a long life of poverty and obscurity. Maybe in confinement.

When he says atonement, does he mean the blood atonement Mormons believe in?

'President Joseph Fielding Smith has written: "Man may commit certain grievous sins ... that will place him beyond the reach of the atoning blood of Christ .... Joseph Smith taught that there were certain sins so grievous that man may commit, that they will place the transgressors beyond the power of the atonement of Christ. If these offenses are committed, then the blood of Christ will not cleanse them from their sins even though they repent. Therefore their only hope is to have their own blood shed to atone, as far as possible, in their behalf." (Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 1, pp.133138. )'

You mean God won't give up his chair , and sit at Beckies feet , hanging on his every pronouncement?

I love it when Beck speaks in his hushed "bedroom" voice. I'm transformed and transfixed. ;-)

Is there a way for MMFA to send this entire thread to Glenn?

He should witness for himself the reverence and respect he has garnered here with his inspiring horse hockey.
