Right, because the White House has nothing else to do.

Blimpy proves he is insane with this comment. No one but Breitbart edited these tapes, and the racism and blame falls directly on Breitbart for trying to stroke more racial tension in this country.

Why can't the Troglodytes admit there is racism in their ranks? Every clip today from the right is about racism and trying to blame the victim. Once again the party of personal responsibility fails to live up to their ideology.

PM Cameron was taking up quite a bit of the president's time when Breitbart implemented his "Racism in the Obama USDA" project. I'm surprised that Limpy hasn't blamed it on the fact that Cameron's wife refused to come with her husband because she's pregnant and doesn't like Obama or the USDA.

And for all we know the current Mrs. Limbaugh is putting together a collection of sound clips from your show that will allow her to break the pre-nup on the grounds that her husband is far, far too bat sh*t crazy to have ever signed a contract in a state of sound mind, and she'll use that to strip your empire to the bones at some select time in the next few months.

Crazy scenarios both. Shall we talk about which one is the most likely to occur?

He can't even get that right, because he forgot to tie in why it would be desirable to create a story that would lead the news ahead of signing financial regulatory reform into law the same day.

        Yep, sure...makes perfect sense.

For years it has puzzled me how Limbaugh's followers don't notice the complete lack of logic in this idiot's arguments. It takes Olympian leaps...

For sure. The first book about Blimpy that I read was called Logic and Mr. Limbaugh. It was written by a College Professor who deconstructs Limbaugh's arguments and points out his constant use of Logical Fallacies.

Of course, it was written back in the 90s, when Blimpy actually presented things that could be called arguments. I don't think the good Professor could find much logic at all in Blimpy's mutterings now, fallacious or otherwise. He's joined Glenn Beck on the Crazy Train, and they're fighting over the throttle.

A study in 2005-2006 proved that when Americans are presented with facts contrary to their opinion, they don't change their opinion, they reenforce the wrong one.

There is no greater example of this study than the Sherrod controversy.

The White House got Breitbart to post this edited tape, got Fox News to make it their headline to froth over, got the NAACP to disown her, got Vilsack to fire her and then the next day apologized for acting to hastily, all as an elaborate scheme to......what Rush? I know working in reality isn't your strongest suit, but what purpose would this whole elaborate hoax be for? To show how gutless they are to stand up against the right-wing noise? To have racists like you project onto others? You gotta give me another piece of the puzzle here.

Hey nobody said this elaborate plan had to make sense ;-)

The sad thing is there are actually folks who will fall for it, & repeat it to others.

I don't think this could even pass for a believable fiction movie script

I guess this is the official talking point for the day on this story. The leftists in the White House set up the right wing media with the help of other media outlets. They all made Breitbart search for video and spend his day editing it down so he could portray it as a racist rant. The government then forced Drudge, Fox, and conservative talk radio to run wild with the story. The other media outlets then forced them to scream "RACIST" at the top of their lungs because nobody else would cover the "story". Then, just as they were getting their blood lust to a boil with Ms. Sherrod's resignation, the true video was released, followed by apologies from the NAACP and the White House for the injustice that occurred due to their rush to judgement. Fox and talk radio had a moment where they could have done the right thing and apologized for what happened. But they've chosen to simply place blame squarely at the feet of the White House, the NAACP, and even Ms. Sherrod herself. No personal responsability at all.

Well, a good way to start proving this nasty Democratic/liberal/White House conspiracy would be for Andrew Breitbart to tell everybody where he got that tape, and who edited it. That should bring the conspiracy out into the open pretty quickly, I think.

I will say one thing the right wing knows how and when to distract.
Yesterday President Obama signed the Financial Reform Bill and all that was discussed in the Media was about Sherrod incident. Hardly a mention about the signing of the Bill.

For all I know, this was Karl Rove at his evil worst. He had an operative dupe some lefty-leaning film editor to send an edited version of this tape to Breitbart. It will soon come out that said left-leaning film editor sent the tape to Breitbart to set him up. This will then lead to the question, what member of the White House staff got Mr. Lefty Film Editor to do this. Fingers will be pointed, FNC talking heads and hate radio will be outraged, mainstream media will be suitably subdued back into it its subserviance to FNC, RW base will be energized come November, LW base demoralized, Rep take House and Senate, Rove receives a7 figure paycheck from the RNC.
      Wow, I just scared myself.

If the Obama administration had "orchestrated" this why did they punt and fire Ms. Sherrod. All that did was give Fox and Breitbart a bit of cover and a reason to criticize Obama in this matter. The firing blunted a tremendous opportunity to finally bury these liars and purveyors of fake and biased news. I hope that this can be a turning point in the fight against the lying right, but Obama's reaction did not help.
