I've asked this before, and I'll ask it again: Can Laura Ingraham say anything without sounding like a snarky, obnoxious bitch?

Let's be honest, Laura, you and your people don't want racial healing...you just want to perpetuate racial DOMINANCE.

This is true. Rush Limbaugh called it when everyone else was suggesting that the black president would put to bed racism forever. Rush said that bacause of Obama, the liberals would make things worse with their race-baiting and accusations of racism. And lo-and-behold, look what happen. As Rush says, "Don't....doubt.....him!"

I don't recall liberals saying that the election of Barack Obama as President would forever put an end to racism...I don't recall that at all because it never happened.

What did happen was that right wing talkers created an endless stream of lies designed to forward a right wing talking point that the liberal media was in love with Obama, attributing to liberals all sorts of wondrous things that liberals allegedly said Barack Obama would accomplish. Problem is, liberals never said those things...you guys were the ones saying them, calling Obama the "Messiah" and such.

What liberals acknowledged was that the election of Barack Obama was a major step in the right direction to heal racial wounds and introduce a better understanding among the races. But that hasn't happened because right wing conservatives don't want that to happen...white right wing conservatives are more concerned with prserving the status quo and several hundred years of racial dominance.

          Thanks! So true.

The projection never ends. Not once have I heard the president or liberals use race as an issue since January 2009. It has all been generated by those on the right. ACORN, Van Jones, NBPP, and now Shirley Sherrod. All of these have been used by the right to drive a wedge between the president and white conservatives. Although none of this originated on the left, we're always blamed for hyping racism.

Fox and Breibart got caught with their pants down this time, but their supporters are fully engaged in denying it. That doesn't change a thing. We know they did it. They know they did it, and now most of America knows that Fox is not a news organization, something we've been saying all along. We said it was wrong to invade Iraq. They tried to marginalized us. We were right about that just as we've been right about most things that occurred when GWB was in the WH.

Come on. Are you just playing naive, or are you just that blind?

Example 1 of liberals playing the racist card.

            Example 2

            Example 3

And I didn't even bring up Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

I could go on for days, but I have to go to sleep.

When a conservatives talks about others "playing the race card" its just like them talking about politicla correctness: just a way to make the other person shut up and to justify their insenstitivity/racism/sexism. I've heard more and louder complaining from conservatives about racism and race-baiting than i have from liberals.

Pointing out incidents of racism is not making race an issue, jpeagle, it's pointing out incidents of racism. Are people just supposed to turn their heads and say that the racism of Beck, Limbaugh, some members of the Tea Party, etc., aren't happening because it offends your sensibilities? FYI, it would appear, based upon your really nonsensical post that it was YOU who expected racism to no longer be an issue. Intelligent people understood that just electing a black man as president wouldn't magically make it all just go "poof." Intelligent people also understood that it could, in fact, make things worse for a while because of the unintelligent, racist folks who just could not STAND the fact that there was going to be a BLACK man in their WHITE House.

Thanks for proving the point that it was YOU who was expecting race problems would be abated by the election of Mr. Obama.

Remember when the liberals said that Obama would get our troops home from Afghanistan within two weeks after his inauguration? Remember when liberals said he was the Messiah and would bring world peace? Remember when liberals said Obama would cut unemployment in half and balance the budget by 2010? Remember when he PROMISED to govern like a more conservative version of Ronald Reagan? Remember when he PROMISED he'd let the Republican minority in Congress write administration proposals? Remember when Obama PROMISED there would be no more global warming, no more crime, no more racism, just roses and sunshine and joy for ever and ever if he were elected?

You don't? Well, thank goodness you have Fox to remind you.

Republican presidents "unite us" because the right-wingers accept or even worship them, insisting that all Americans do the same or risk being branded "unpatriotic" or even "traitors." Democratic Presidents "divide us" because right-wingers refuse to accept their legitimacy and spend all their time stoking the fires of hatred and planning for their downfall- and then, pointing to the anger they create and saying "see? See? Told you, this guy is dividing us!"

It was most absurd in the late-90s, when Bill Clinton's popularity was very high yet we were being told on a daily basis how much "Clinton fatigue" was setting in. The narrative didn't change after the Democrats gained seats in 1998. The facts simply did not matter.

Now we are being told that Obama is "dividing" us on race- while the only people who are talking about race are the right-wingers. They have no shame, and they know that the other side will never copy their vicious, dishonest tactics.

            ***Limbaugh Classic***
I'll tell you . There must be some real total hatred for this president out there among people. And they are motivated each day that they live their lives to the prospect, and how they can bring it about, of literally getting rid of the guy.

We know exactly what happened, peepeeagle; Obama won, the right-wing immediately went on a race-baiting tear, and the right-wing blamed the liberals for it. Basically like a child throwing a tantrum and blaming the parents for the tantrum...

Self-fulfilling prophecy at work here. Limbaugh said liberals would make things worse with race-baiting, kept harping different takes on race baiting and accusations of racism by those other than Caucasian (or Caucasian liberals), consistently looked for new angles and avenues to pound the race themes, and never let go of the canard that it was the "other" doing exactly what Limbaugh himself was actively pursuing.

And lo-and-behold, look what happen. As Rush says, "Don't...doubt...him!"

Rush Limbaugh wrote a book called "The Way Things Ought to Be," in which he predicted all these horrible things that would happen if the Democrats ever regained the Presidency. After Bill Clinton won and NONE of his predictions came true, he wrote another book entitled "See, I Told You So." Facts mean NOTHING to this "man," because they mean nothing to his bottom-feeding audience.

Let me ask you this, jpeagle21: are you saying that it's Obama's fault that all this racist stuff is coming out now? It isn't. It's because the racism was there all along.

It's a good thing that the racism is coming out. Let's see Limbaugh, Ingraham, and the rest for what they are.

Funny; I coulda sworn it was Glenda Beck -- not the libruls -- who said the President was a "racist with a deep-seated hatred of white people."

And, I coulda sworn it was Rush Limpballs -- not the libruls -- who sang "Barack, the Magic Negro" . . .
