The one that looks like a B. ;)

MMFA really needs to fix special character appearances in the comments section TBH.

Didn't see but this clip. With that caveat, I think B was speaking figuratively, to maximize the effect of his point and it was not a slip. In the sense of the good works she has done, Ms. Sherrod is Rosa Parks. If this interpretation is correct, as to this specific point I don't have a problem with Buchanan's statement. The administration's response was problematic and hopefully they will learn from this.

I see nothing wrong with his comment. This is that "race-baiting" that is claimed of conservatives. Mrs. Sherrod was denied her due process rights as a federal official by not getting a notice and a hearing before being asked to step aside. She was "thrown under the bus".

And Brietbart airing edited video that caused the firing in the first place was . . . ??

Breitbart should have to pay in a civil action for defamation. She wasn't a "public figure" until AFTER the false assertions. Therefore, he will get his in a court of law. Even if she WAS considered a public figure, this could be described as "malice" and he will still pay.

Actually, no. Under the zero tolerance policy of the USDA, she was asked to resign immediately because of her words which could have prevented her from even being considered for the job. Just the appearance of a racist comment was cause for termination.

So the story is that there is a problem with the President and USDA--Not Breitbart, not Fox News. He's placing the whole problem on some people who deserve only a little culpability.

My long held suspicions about Pat Buchanan have finally been confirmed: He still thinks we're living in the 1960's. I was surprised that Chuck Todd or David Corn didn't correct him. In a way, however, I'm glad they didn't. Shows that this guy should have been put out to pasture long ago.

When we realized that my mother was suffering from Alzheimer's, I took her to a doctor to get an estimate as to how bad she was. When asked the year (1990's), she replied 1945. She was till more coherent than most of the wingnuts/pundits are on their shows.
