I think he maybe correct. He did say "mistakes." He does every deliberately.

Good point. His "assigned host duties" apparently entail lying and misinforming his sycophants. In that endeavor, he's proven quite proficient.

      Now that is funny!
Who says the right doesn't have a sense of humor?

      He was joking, right?

Assigned duties. I like that. Assigned by whom? And what are those duties exactly? To lie about and smear liberals and Democrats?

This is an old daily catch phrase of his; he's been saying it for years. Not even an issue at this point. He's only reemphasizing the point to true believers.

But when he says "zero mistakes," it could be that "zero mistakes" does not entail "being honest." You can be deliberately dishonest or outright lie but if you intend to do that, it's executing the function with "zero mistakes."

So technically, he's correct. Albeit disingenuous

He also says on an almost-daily basis that he's a harmless little fuzzball who could be trusted in a hotel room with your wife and/or daughters for a weekend.

He never says anything about being trusted around your sons...

I've heard before that O'Reilley had a massive ego. It pales in comparison with Rush's.

RUSH, you made only one mistake, turning down a job with GOODYEAR, providing a constant source of hot air for their fleet of blimps and taking a job in radio instead.
