And just what was it that Randy Pullen told us about the Republican National Committee a few days ago? A hidden $2 million debt was it?

The GOP. Wrecked the nation's finances in the past. Wrecking their own finances now. But hey! Let's say they've learned their lessons and give them another chance!

All of this b.s. demonstrates why Barack Obama's strategists should dismiss Fox News out-of-hand and simply move forward with their their own vision, forcing Fox to constantly run along side to play catch-up.

It is aggravating that Fox carries the unearned respect it does. They are NOT a news organization. They are a propaganda network, dedicated to promoting a Republican (and Neocon) world view.

How can it be that I, an unpaid commenter can see this while a sophisticated, experienced, highly trained political team, can't?

Methinks it's because if they labeled themselves correctly the terms used would be a might harsh on the sensitive ears on their older viewers.

What I don't understand is why we keep pretending they ARE. Everyone is the whole country must see that they are involved in a de facto merger with the GOP! Why do we even pretend? Just call it the th GOX Party, or the Foxublicans, or whatever the bleep you want.

They are the media wing of a political-entertainment corporation, which stages fights between two groups pf people: the ones who see it as entertainment a la wrestling, and the ones who see it as actual human interaction. They are going to be writing and performing whole scripts of fictitious events within the next 18 months, and demanding the White House respond to imaginary junk. It's going to be "Wag the Dog" for real.

What can we do about it, either? We are still so flabbergasted that Fox can be this blatantly partisan, and act like it's horrible that anyone could even suggest that fact, that we have no suitable response.

Well Frank, if lowering taxes for the richest Americans creates jobs and Bush did, why do we have the highest unemployment since the Great Depression, unless you mean creating jobs in China and India?

Those aren't questions you get to ask on Fox.

In fact, that's a reality that doesn't even exist on Fox. I'd bet that any survey of Fox viewers would show they believe that W created jobs, wiped out the deficit, and handed over a booming economy to President Obama.

It's a whole nuther world over there, completely unaffected by reality.

Same here. I'm really tired of hearing these guys whine about their taxes.

I work for a company with 10 employees. $250,000 in profit would be a gang-buster year for us. We'd celebrate for a week.

Proof positive that these frauds have absolutely no idea how to govern. How to win an election by playing to the basest fears and the most simplistic economic notions, maybe. But they can't govern their teabaggers, they can't govern their own hate and prejudice, and they sure as shinola wouldn't be able to govern the country if they got a chance any time soon.

The fact is, most Americans received a tax cut recently. And the fact is, a small percentage of Americans are going to see a slight increase when the tax cuts expire. Overall, America, as a whole, will be taking a tax cut.

This isn't a winning item for republicans, because they'd love to see tax cuts for the rich permanent, while the folks who really need the cuts (the rest of us) are floudering away.

That's a good point. If they really cared about the economy, why not advocate for the transfer of the tax cuts downward to what's left of the middle class? That would stimulate the economy much more than giving it back to the top 2%.
