Dana Perino Claims No Terrorist Attacks on U.S. During Bush Presidency

The pertinent question, according to Wonkette's blog:
Why does Obama continue to disrespect our brave children in uniform?
But I don't think that we (or the Boy Scouts) should compare an absent President to just any old Jamboree to a President missing the 100th anniversary Jamboree. I think that's a bigger deal than just any Jamboree. Just like we expect a President to go to Normandy on special anniversaries of D-Day, but not every anniversary of D-Day, I think that this anniversary for the Boy Scouts shouldn't be compared to Presidents who have missed previous events.
But it's still not a big deal.
This leads me to the larger point. When constantly faced with a "can't win" situation, why doesn't Obama just do what he thinks is best, instead of trying to placate the Republicans? The Republicans only view compromise as weakness. They take any concessions but give nothing in return. Republicans already hate his politics. What does Obama fear? They hate him in all caps?
It's probably mostly driven by the fact that these well-paid clowns are going to see their taxes go up at the end of this year, which makes them squeal like stuck pigs.
