Well, according to John Hagee, Iran is going to ignite a Nuclear bomb in space over the U.S., which will emit an Electromagnetic Pulse which will send us back to the Stone Age.

Maybe that's what Blimpy's talking about.

limpaugh: "Why can't we get a battery that lasts a week?"
Just when you think the guy has reached his limits regarding his insight into technology and science, he throws something like this out there and proves that once again, you've overestimated him.

Typical Blimpy simple-mindedness... it's what his listeners expect.

Just look how battery technology has advanced. A small example: When I was in college, many years ago, a teacher was talking about Product Design. One student suggested a cordless iron. The teacher dismissed the idea, since rechargeable batteries weren't powerful enough for such a thing at that time.

But now, we have cordless irons. Progress... what a concept!

We may indeed have batteries that last a week some day... given enough commercial incentive.

It's amazing what humans can do when they open themselves up to the idea of learning about the world they live in.

The limpaugh concept is the "ignorance is bliss" concept. He preaches staying dumb enough to think that 50 years ago was as good as life can get. And that works out about right, because the technical understanding of a majority of Americans lags about 50 years behind the technology.

This may sound random, but why hasn't anybody brought up the fact that Afghanistan has the mother lode of lithium - you know - we need it for batteries.

Could that be one reason why we are there? So maybe the Obama Administration isn't so reckless or dumb after all. Just askin'
