Clearly if these people wanted to live in actual houses, they should have dropped out of school and stumbled backwards into lucrative radio careers.

...and cutting taxes increases revenue.... and Saddam had WMD... and this is Obama's recession... and Ronald Reagan won the Cold War... and criticizing the Commander in Chief when we have troops in harm's way is treason....oh, wait...

There's not much room in Rush's head for ideas, and once a thought lodges there, it's pretty much immovable.

They do it because it works with the audience. Why not blame the poor for the financial meltdown? They cannot defend themselves and are often minorities - the perfect combination of Republican angst.

It would take poor people (especially of color) 5,000 years to make a mess this big.

Blimpy and the other professional liars fail to mention how many people defaulted on very expensive homes. These were not poor people, but upper middle class. Many were various types of "professionals" who should have known better, but got sucked in by the easy credit frenzy.

It's part of their ongoing Propaganda Narrative. They've made up so much crap that they can run it in a continuous loop.

When somebody debunks a particular talking point, they just trot out another one. After a few weeks, their idiot listeners have forgotten that a particular talking point was debunked, and they trot it out again.

          Exactly.

This explains why such things as

          - Tony Rezko
          - Obama's birth certificate, and
          - William Ayres and the Weathermen

          have all made recent {re}appearances in hate-stream tv/radio . . .

Limbaugh falsely claims affordable housing caused financial meltdown

Strange how "affordable housing" -- the "affordable" implying that no money is being misspent -- can cause a financial meltdown . . . but, starting two wars of choice that cost taxpayers $12 billion/month and trying to fund them with tax cuts -- doesn't . . .
