I wonder how many boys go missing from the Dominican Republic while Rush vacations there...

This is just the same old meme that they used to run around with talking about how Detroit was more dangerous than Iraq or Afghanistan.

Then I guess this means Limbaugh won't be vacationing in Phoenix anytime soon?

Not that the axles on his potential kidnappers' getaway van wouldn't shatter after Rush's considerable girth was loaded inside.

The mayor of an AZ town (not Phoenix...it started with an "S") said that this morning on MSNBC, too. The young lady didn't ask him for any real numbers on that and she should've.

I fantasize about someone collecting all these quotes about how terrible things are in Arizona (Brewer, McCain, Limbaugh et. al.) and running a full-page satirical "Vacation in Arizona" ad in USA Today and the NYT.

This statistic appears to have first appeared in January of this year by an insure.com who is selling K&R insurance to Phoenix residents.

There were 368 reported cases in 2008 as compared to 7,000 cases in Mexico City. These statistics come from a company called Control Risks who is in the business of K&R consulting.

Of course, I couldn't find any statistics that they release to see how it compares to other major cities in the US.

This is definitely a classic talking point. I heard some guy from Arizona on Hardball, I think, say the exact same thing last week. This is very sophisticated race-baiting. Not only are they suggesting that the Mexican immigrants in Phoenix are kidnapping people, the subtext is that Mexicans are somehow predisposed to kidnap people. Disgusting.

Lets see by the local of the Right Wingers: Latino's are somehow wired to kidnap people. Okay lets play, whites are 3 times more likely to rape, straight males are 3,000 times more likely to molest a child then gay males are. So it sounds to me that straight white males should be illegal.

But you cant argue that illegal immigration does not have any negatives based on those valid statistics

What exactly are you referring to when you say "those valid statistics". If you think one cannot argue in favor of illegal immigration based on a statistic Glenn Beck pulled out of his nether regions, you're right, although one cannot base any sound arguement on that. I'm not really sure why you felt it was important to say that, but o.k.
