Wow we really are going back to the 50s. I thought December 21, 2012 was simply the end of the Mayan calendar not when it "said the end of the world is coming". Didn't even know it could speak.

Is anyone really this insane? I mean... the world didn't end at midnoght on 1/1/2000 even though there was a pretty good reason it should have! (If you don't eblieve me, try living without your computer for day. I could do it, but what kind of life would that be?! LOL)

And seeing as how the mayan CULTURE weant extint like 500 years ago, WTF difference does it make how long their CALANDER went for?! 500-some years longer than it need to apparently!

File this in the public insanity folder I guess.

I saw a Mayan descendant interviewed one night . . . he was laughing at this insanity. He said that people are taking the Mayan calendar thing completely out of context and that it does NOT mean that the world is ending on December 21, 2012. I find it interesting that people who are supposedly Christian are embracing a pagan culture's alleged belief.

What does a story about a company that is seeing a rise in people buying shelters have to do with Republicans?

I suppose its more of the "BE AFRAID!" and conspiracy theory part than Republicans in this case. The mention of the mayan calendar as well as that ad during Beck for "Survival seeds" just seem to link together.

Fox is really going for the Libertarian/Survivalist/Militia-Nut audience lately...

It could be written off as simply nutty, as people often say Beck should be, however, it could also be serving the purpose of reinforcing the beliefs of these lunatics, and giving the perception of legitimacy, or normalcy, to their antisocial, apocalyptic beliefs... There is real danger in glorifying hording and preparation for the end of the world. If a nut could take a couple episodes of Glenn Beck's sideshow and use that as a basis for murder, what makes anyone think that by hyping WWIII wouldn't unleash the end-times wing-nuts? Or is that the point all along? Does Fox really want to see a War on American soil?

Major, these dispensational-eschatologists End-Times fanbots are positively hoping for a nuclear war so that their End Times fantasies will come true. If it kills a few billion people, they really don't care, since most of them are brown people anyway...

The classic black-and-white "Twilight Zone" series ran a great show about a multi-billionaire who builds an atomic bomb shelter. But while he's underground, his mind snaps (remember: this was BEFORE Glenn Beck and the "Left Behind" books and movies) and when he returns to the world above, he IMAGINES that the Earth is destroyed when it wasn't. He's carried away to the funny farm, just like in the song. He could room with Beck.

Any chance of building one of these for all the right wing blowhards and faking the end of the world? I know it will be awfully big for all of them, but hey it can be done!

I don't know if I am losing my mind, but I might need one of these to get away from all the brainwashed right wing homegrown terrorist that might do something crazy. I know that seems "out there", but this whole Fox (Beck) and Breitbart brainwashing thats going on, I seriously am getting a little shook up. If something doesn't change SOON, we will start (if not already, I mean look at the Tides maniac) having homegrown militia groups trying to start a revolution because of misinformation. I am just worried that the Right propaganda machine is going to destroy our country, and is well on it way of doing so. So sign me up with one of these and plenty of ammo for defense.

Hope I don't seem like a nutjuob, but I called out a WHILE ago that Beck's rhetorics and rants were escalating and getting way out of hand, and it was going to cause bloodshed. And I am not a person to say "I told you so" (because most of us knew this anyways), but there it is.... My heart goes out to the wounded officers that were injured in that attack, and I hope that piece of SH*T burns in hell. He could have done a lot of damage because of another persons lack of responsibility concerning his role and influence over the airwaves... *cough* BECK *cough*
