Like the passes Congressman Jefferson and Mayor Kilpatrick got?
      Maybe Blankley's perception is skewed because there are relatively fewer black politicians? {Being kind here}

Or perhaps Blankley feels that if no one has dug up dirt on a black politician then they just weren't looking hard enough. Blankley reminds me of my brother who assumes that all black politicians are corrupt and incompetent.

Funny, for me skin color makes no difference.. all politicians are corrupt and/or incompetent.
          Okay, there are exceptions....

I tend to think of Anthony Weiner and Grayson.
Historically, there are a lot more (but then, that's a longer period)

      Scrutinize? Maybe, maybe not.

I do, however, know of a "news" channel that's dedicated to getting black politicians and black government workers fired.

Last I checked, Diaper Dave Vitter and John Ensign were still Senators.

Newt Gingrich still gets treated like a serious presidential candidate each time he wants to pump a new book. On and on.

Remember how BJ fan would make some particularly odious, purely opinion-based assertion and punctuate it was "This is a fact"? Clearly that's where he got it from.

Yeah, BJFan was loads o' larfs. My favorite was his bragging about his libertarian, anti-state credentials while lionizing the likes of Franco and Pinochet. The guy was a dishonest cretin.

Hard to single out BJ, that seems to be ingrained in a lot of wingnuts. I see it in real life as well as in website forums, the opinion or completely inaccurate statement, garnished with "It's a fact...".

I guess it works on them.

That is a blatant lie. Any non-white politician is under more scrutiny.

Somebody forgot to tell that to:

      Charles Rangel
      Marion Barry
      David Paterson
      Michael Steele
      van Jones
      Barack Obama
      Adam Clayton Powell
      Jesse Jackson, Jr
      Maxine Waters
      Sheila Dixon
      Kwame Kilpatrick
      William Jefferson

Look at it this way. There are 42 black Reps in the House, out of 435. That's a little under 10% who are black. 15% of the investigations of the House Ethics Committee concern black Representatives.

I'm not arguing about the guilt or the innocence of anyone, what I am arguing is that, as usual, the Washington Times, with their collaborators, Fox News, distorts reality to fit their narrative.

So black congressmen are 1 1/2 times more likely to be investigated. Sounds like the WaTimes is just lying (again.)
