Limbaugh was calling it "the Obama recession" before Obama even took office. Second banana Hannity is just following in his deceitful footsteps.

Spot-on. They started calling it that on 11/5/08. Hannity was even absolving the Shrub of blame before the election, saying the stock market was falling in fear of a Democratic victory.

Exactly, the dim-witted Hannity was "talking up" the economy for the last couple of years before Obama was nominated, at which point he started to finally admit we were tanking, but only because he knows his audience. They're clueless enough to buy into his "Obama Recession" fantasy.

This clip is a classic example of the symbiotic relationship between the Fox propaganda and the Fox Opinion Poll; Hannity spoon feeds the BS to the suckers, then they take a survey of the suckers to see how many are buying it.

Not surprisingly, the type of person who watches Fox and answers their surveys believes exactly what Fox has told them to believe, no matter how at odds with reality.

Then the Foxbots give the suckers a cookie, both Hannity and one of the female bots here explaining that people have "figured it out" and are "not fooled".

This is the same low-level psychological fluff-job used by those selling lemon used cars and swamp land.

" You're a pretty sharp customer, aren't you ? Those other chumps walked away from this deal, but not you slick. I'm even gonna throw in the undercoating, just cause I know I can't put one over on you".

Thanks, not really a brilliant observation on my part, I just watch Fox sometimes to see the crap they're doing.

It's often more blatant, where they reference their own poll of their viewers, and go on to discuss the popular opinion as if it's a fact.

I was recently called from a pollster and decided to go ahead simply for amusement purposes when it became obvious it was something sponsored by a right wing machine ("we want to poll your opinion about values and politics")

Here's the telling part. At one point they asked me to respond to certain questions with the "B" question first, then the "A" question and the questions were definitely skewed towards certain outcomes. The B/A order confused me and I had to think slowly and ask the questioner to repeat himself often to make sure I gave my honest answers.

So you gotta wonder, what goes behind these polling numbers beyond who sponsored the study.

                  AB:

That's called push-polling, and is designed to render a certain outcome. It's about as fair and balanced a system as Fox itself.

Another good example of this sort of "survey" is one I've heard on Rush Limbaugh's show. I think I've heard Dennis Prager do the same thing, as most of the radio wingnuts seem to be essentially Blimpy clones.

They'll take a caller who is on the fence with their politics, or not sure which way they lean politically. Sometimes it's those "recovering liberals" they like to have on, most likely plants, but the host has been explaining to them that there are two teams, and you need to be on one side or the other.

The host will ask then a series of very simplistic and idiotic questions along the lines of " Do you like freedom?", or " Do you think the money you work hard for should be divided evenly with somebody who doesn't feel like working?", everything just shy of " do you hate puppies?".

Naturally, the results show that the caller is a conservative. Of course, it would only take a few minutes to put together a poll that would tell the caller they're a liberal, but the person calling Rush to find out what his own thoughts are isn't likely to figure that out.

Which is hilarious, seeing as how the "Democratric Victory" was very much in doubt, with McCain and Obama statitically tied UNTIL AFTER the big 700-point crash in the Dow that happened the day after McCain gave his "fundamentals of the economy are strong" speech. It was only THEN that Obama started to pull away.

It was the crashing economy that brought the democrats their victory. Not the other way around. And no amount of selective amnesia on the part of the rigth can change that.

All during the Reagan years they blamed everything on Carter. When King George I came into power it was still Carter's fault. When King George the Dunce came along it was Clinton's fault - even though there was a budget surplus. The party of personal responsibility never takes any blame for anything. Losers.

Actually, the Nixon (yes Nixon) recesssion was cured by Carter and Volker prior to 1981, Reagan's first yeat in office.

The current recession still goes back to Reagan: Tax cuts for investors cause bubbles which burst.

Yes, I did predict this 20 years ago, but I said 20 to 30 years .... a little off.

. . .I turn off the sound and listen to NPR on the radio, I do get a kick out of the "sky is falling" running info bars at the bottom of the screen though.

Some times I turn on the sound and count how many words they get out before they say "Obama" or "this administration"

So typical of KLANNITY, REPUBLICANS can do nothing wrong, and DEMOCRATS can do nothing right. He does what his benefactors, RUPERT and ROGER tell him to do. It's a shame that he insultes himself and let's no one call him out for his lies and misinformation.

I actually remember how in September 2008 Hannity was fluffing up the state of the economy under Bush until the stock market crashed. But everyone with half a brain knew things were not right since early 2007 when the recession officially started. Only when Obama looked like he was going to win, did he start blaming him and the Democrats for the state of the economy.

Hannity is an obvious shill for the Republican party. But heck, he makes millions doing it, so whats stopping him? Nothing.
