And so are a number of the American people. If they're the majority, I couldn't say...

Does "planting the flag of approval" usually involve approval from zoning boards?

911 was a victory for terrorists, not muslims. why was it a victory, not because it killed americans but because it lead to the american president carrying out a massive overeaction. the goal of terrorism is to get the victim to lash out at the society from whence the terrorists came.when the victim indiscriminately attacks those innocent people who share a community with the terrorists, those innocents will become more radicalized and likely to strike back in a further round of attacks. this played out in northern ireland, chechnya, sri lanka and dozens of other conflicts. it was textbook stuff and the bush admin was duly warned that attacking iraq was not just wrong but counterproductive, and would produce more terrorists. which of course it did. so if 911 was a victory for terrorists rush, you and the rest of the right wing , moderate or left wing hawks on Iraq are partilly to blame

Rush Limbaugh thinks that we Americans think like he does: that our nation is so weak that we need to cower in fear of a cultural center.

      He's wrong. As usual.

I can't stand Rush, but, I kind of agree with him on this one. Wow, that's something I never thought I'd say.

The anti-muslim hate is extremely high today. I just wonder when this goes beyond free speech and enters into the realm of slander or libel. It's obvious that this rhetoric is causing real harm to people and the talkers aren't even attempting to tone it down. Since they love to talk about "government intrusion", why not have the government really intrude and revoke broadcasting licenses if they cannot at least pull their garbage together with facts. I don't care what their opinions are. I just wish they would quit with the baseless attacks on people who stand to be victimized by a nut in the audience. To associate an unrelated group of people with a group of terrorist extremists is beyond disgusting. He and other hate talkers on the radio today are practically begging for someone to take action. They're begging for someone to take back what they view as their patriotic "holy land". These idiots want a crusade on American soil. I shake my head at the thought that these foul examples of human beings are my fellow countrymen.

Indeed, anti-Islamic Bigotry is one the only remaining brands of bigotry that can be publicly professed without fear of social disgrace. This is particularly true on the right, where anti-islamic bigotry is practically an article of faith.

I've got some news for you Rush. The terrorists? The ones who actually knocked down the Twin Towers? They already planted the victory flag there by, yeah, KNOCKING DOWN THE TOWERS and KILLING thousands of innocent people.

This community center has NOTHING to do with terrorists, or terrorism. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a complete and utter moron.

Timothy Mc Veigh and Terry Nichols were self-professed Christians. I don't recall hearing Rush object to any Christian churches that were built in Oklahoma City after those so-called Christians blew up the Federal Building......

Never mind building some, what about the ones that are less than 1/2 a block from the Fed building in OK City? Why don't they tear those down immediately!? Because, McVeigh professed a belief that God wanted him to do what he did.
