So Faux News whines and complains that the stimulus didn't work and now they are whining and complaining about the work the stimulus created???

"Remember the good old days, when the lines at the stores were short because no one had any money to buy anything? Darn this stimulus!"

Reminds me of Dave's posts, complaining that health care for everyone would mean that HE would have to wait longer to see a doctor- the ultimate in overbearing selfishness. People having money for vacations is a BAD thing, because it slows ME down. People able to see a doctor is a BAD thing, because I might have to wait in a line to get treatment. ME ME ME ME ME.

Dave must not be living in the real world. There's already a serious wait time for service when I go to some of my doctors. I have to wait at my dentist's office, too. For some on the right, any excuse is a good reason to bash the ACA. If there were 3 doctors for every U.S. citizen, they'd still use the rw talking points.

They'll probably start sooner in case they need another fabricated outrage to drive more knuckledraggers to the polls. I look for them to start whining about it well before Halloween.

I heard on Maddow last night that some wingnut is claiming that Michelle Obama wants to ban Christmas from the White House. Seriously.

Tancredo got the ball rolling by saying that Michelle Obama wants to stop celebrating Christmas at the WH. He'd be the first person to line up for a photo op next to the president in front of the Christmas tree if he were invited to the WH during the holiday season, and he'd be sure to say something derogatory as soon as he left the WH.

It will definitely be Halloween, because that's a holiday, and it will "remind" them of that other holiday, and why the liberals "hate" that other holiday, blah blah blah....

It's already started. Rachel Maddow pointed to Tom Tancredo, who is running for office in Colorado, as (stupidly) claiming that Michelle Obama wants to ban Christmas from the White House.

Hey, you got Tom, in AZ we have McSame (who defeated J.D. Hayworth (T) and John McCain (see Colbert)) and Kyl in the Senate. Our representatives (okay, some) are a little bit more sane.

my guess is it will be uglier than usual this year. 2009 was pretty mild. But with Beck and his Holy War, seems to be there will be added juice to this ginned-up issue

The Northeast Blackout of 2003; the breached levees of New Orleans in 2005; and the Minneapolis I-35W bridge collapse of 2007 are all perilous signals that U.S. infrastructure is crumbling and jeopardizing our national security, a prominent homeland security expert warned Thursday.

But I guess that doesn't support the narrative...

Saw lots of road construction this summer, but not one sign referring to "Recovery Act" funding. So there is no way the stimulus is creating all the traffic problems, but someone (everyone) has to complain about something (everything).

We have road construction all the time in Texas . . . we have great roads, but the only place I've seen any road construction credited to the Recovery Act was outside Boston a few weeks ago. There was no traffic congestion in that area, but there was a mess in the tunnels . . . no signs there.

There is quite a bit of it going on her in Colorado - one of the major highways on the south end of Denver is getting expanded a bit and repaved and the highway leading into Breckenridge is getting widened - both major projects courtesy of the Recovery Act (signs are on the road advertising it). I only wish we could have put some of the money toward relieving traffic on I-70, from Denver to the mountains, but the project isn't shovel ready.

So, I guess Obama invented road construction, too?

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I clearly recall long, drawn out highway projects that created traffic nightmares as far back as the Pappy Bush Administration. In fact, I remember such phenomena throughout the 90s and early 2000s.

Could it be an implanted memory?

We have highway projects here all the time . . . . worked a BAD accident in 1988 which was attributed to highway construction. Obama caused it, I'm sure.

In my state you may be able to blame the stimulus for holiday traffic. The state of GA announced last week that parts of Interstate 75 would be under construction. Traffic was slowed down last week when I used the interstate to go to a doctor's appointment because crews were working and getting paid with stimulus funds.

The non-news network will say anything necessary to deny that the stimulus has created jobs.

So, let me get this straight . . .

Last week, you traveled on federal highway being repaired with stimulus funds -- in order to go to a doctor's appointment, courtesy of HCR.

Cuga, has anyone ever told you you're a socialist taking advantage of gov't handouts? j/k :^)
