      I draw a lot of analogies to Mark Davis every time I hear him spew his moronic drivel over WBAP here in Texas. This one come to mind most often:

      Actually, the Nero analogy is more suited to the Republicans in COngress and the Senate, who are fiddling around shouting "NO!" while the economy burns.......

      Bad idea; stick with Hitler. Most ignorance-embracing Troglodytes won't even know who Nero was. Hitler, on the other hand, has been in enough movies that most of them will at least know the name.

      Moses Beck learned this hard lesson when his Woodrow Wilson diatribes failed to elicit the desired drooling from his zombies.

        Exactly. Though you're forgetting that since so little is actually known of Nero, they can pretty much attribute anything they jolly well please to him and claim that it's accurate. God knows that they do so with historical figures who've had reams of evidence based analysis and all without any shame at all. They probably slaver over getting the chance to start applying their 'knowledge' to ancient historical figures.

        I cringe every time one of these idiots opens his/her mouth to spew about something historical, because goodness only knows what's going to end up shooting from their piehole.
