Funny I am paying off a student loan acquired when G. H. W. Bush and Clinton were president and it is through the U. S. Department of Education. That seems like federal government involvement to me.

Apparently 70 billion in wasted money generated by that cockamamie system where banks administered federal loans is an acceptable loss to Napolitano. We should hand out less student loans, as long as we're enriching the banking sector.

FOX is all about protecting Corporate profits, even at taxpayer expense. Feeding poor kids at taxpayer expense...not so much.

Amazing . . . nationalizing a nationalized student loan system. Amazing concept. All that was done was that the middle man, with its extra fees and costs, has been eliminated.

Even better, there always have been and will continue to be privately financed student loans. They didn't go away!

Limbaugh did the same trick a few months ago and I called him on it then too. The government (the Obama admin.) takes over a government run program.

        Oh, the humanity!

Why should they care...they don't believe in education anyway? When they take control and all children are home schooled there will no longer be a need for student loans. They will enact legislation that allows advanced degrees for home-schooled kids.

I hear that Obama is in charge the military and has control over the FBI and CIA. He has even got the Secret Service protecting him. It's tyranny I tell you!

Those tyrannical federal loans are saving me between 3-5% in interest. Oppression never felt so sweet.

And that's why private lenders hate the federal student loan programs. Private banks want to get you for life. Look at the example of credit cards.

My two credit card companies kicked me out of their clubs for having a zero balance for too long.My credit score went down and I could care less.Federal student loans got me out of debt quicker than a worse credit score can buy me an expensive American car.Faux preaches exceptionalism by and for the wealthy.governmentisgood.com
