The funny part of this video is hearing these 2 idiots calling other people dumb.
You can insert any social grouping into the same sentence, using the worst behaviour of persons associated with that group as a justification. Any way you look at it, it's bigotry. Just because you're so blinded by hate that you don't notice it as such doesn't change the fact that it's bigotry.
My greatest contempt, however, is reserved for the "I believe in freedom of religion but ..." brigade, particularly when they talk about sensitivities. I watched the construction worker and the sister of a firefighter who died in the conflagration (as did a friend and colleague of mine) on AC360. These two people wanted to be offended by everything that Imam Feisal had said in the preceding interview. Effectively they were spitting on his outstretched hand.
If they continue to allow themselves to be consumed by such hatred they will destroy themselves. If POWs who came back from the Burma Railway as mere bags of bones could reconcile with the Japanese, surely these people could reconcile with a man whose life has been dedicated to the peace and understanding between all faiths that is so sorely needed.
Honi soit qui mal y pense
Now, search and replace your statement and replace [mosque] with [church]. "I don't think they should be allowed to build a [church] near Ground Zero." I don't know who "they" is, but Sufis are not Wahhabists, and I don't think you have a clue about the difference.
Attribute that statement to me: "I don't think they should be allowed to build a [church] near Ground Zero." (I'm not a christian, so why should I care if you can't have a church near ground zero? Perhaps there should be a law against any place of worship in Manhattan?)
What would you call that statement? Anti-American? Anti-Christian? Anti-religion? Dumb?
You are aware that Congressman Ellison is...a...(wait for it)...Muslim. He is an American citizen. What is wrong with him having a mosque anywhere in America?
My point is that, I have no issue with letting any religion build a place of worship anywhere in the US, as long as I don't
And yeah, Juliet and Bill, too, for that matter, based on this little tete-a-tete, it is clear that you are religious bigots. This is exhibit A.
And how about you portraying anybody to the left of say, oh, Joe Lieberman, as a "far-left pinhead"? That's supposed to make sense?
