This administration would love to silence it's critics. Of course that would mean shutting up about 70% of the American people, just about anyone other than the libs here on MMFA.
SENSURSHIPZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!
1) This is off of the Fox site, so you should believe it . . . Obama OPPOSES the return of the fairness document.
2) I'm assuming, when you speak of "internet censorship," you are talking about "net neutrality." Net neutrality is actually, essentially ANTI-censorship.
Without it, internet providers can determine what their subscribers can access based upon content and the speed with with they can access it. They can charge more for better access. Has nothing to do with the administration.
LORD, are you REALLY this stupid, squawks? I mean, seriously, look this crap up before you post it. It makes you look foolish.
The fairness doctrine encouraged free speech, it allowed for a rebuttal and that was an increase of opinions instead of just one like we have now.
I'll bet you're a Fox drone?
Oh yeah, a pretend doctor.
Nope, I've never heard of them. I tried looking them up on the internet but suddenly my whole computer monitor started flashing red and black with a big warning message in the center saying that these terms were censored because they reflected counterrevolutionary thoughts that disrupted the harmony of the community.
So thanks a lot for getting me in trouble and for getting me assigned to a FEMA camp, seahawks123. Sheesh.
Yeah, I studied it in Broadcast Law.
Why, did you actually want to learn something about it?
I know you're not the brightest stool in the drawer, but don't they teach fundamental English sentence structure and meaning at Bone Docktor Shcool.
Or maybe he's just not that good with numbers.
His math was learned at the University Of I Don't Remember..
same place that gives the Neocon raves numbers in the millions.
Again, Google Image Search is your friend
;)
Just like Freedom of religilon only applies to White Conswrvative Christians.
Fox is exactly what the people from the administration said it is, a propaganda tool of the GOP. Nobody has tried to silence them.
The administration did exercise their own rights, however, by not giving Fox the privileges that are earned by actual news sources.
And they exercised their own free speech rights by stating their opinions about Fox.
This is pretty much an admission by Napolitano ( and Fox) that their BS can not stand up to any opposition or scrutiny. The anger shown here makes it clear who is really upset about free speech, and it ain't the Obama administration.
Speech is speech, and even elected and appointed officials are permitted to talk. Criticism is not censorship.
Particularly when the criticism consists of 100% accurate observations about the nature of Fox News.
Wasn't it a few years ago that O'Reily told people who didn't agree with Bush to sit down and shut up? Talk about silencing free speech!
I have to dig out my copy of Nat Hentoff's book: Free Speech for Me, But Not for Thee.
This is the quality of people on Fox News? Who makes their hiring decisions? Constitution expert Glenn Beck. Oh, now it is clear.
Did the federal government arrest someone for something he/she said within the last few seconds?
Napolitano has proven himself to be nuts with this stunt.
The sad thing about the whole scam is that he is willing to lie and mislead for money, power, and access to politicians in order to influence government policymaking. How very despicable.
