yes indeed. "rational" has a long history of burning books- especially of those that 'the rational' have not ever read.

It's interesting how this little jerk turns this story around. An Anti-Muslim bigot threatens to burn a Koran and idiot-boy here says that Muslims who are angry over this are showing their "intolerance." Amazing.
Of course his grade school level answer--that we should threaten to burn Korans to get our way--is probably thought of as a brilliant idea by Glenn Beck's listeners. I can see them nodding their empty heads as they listen to this drivel. "Yep, yep, yep that's what we need to do! Yep, yep yep."
I can see that Thompson has a great career ahead of him in talk radio. He's stupid. He's arrogant. He likes to mock minorities. Yeah he'll go far. So move over Glennie, this guy is going to give you some competition for the wingnut audience.

Why do they give a mic to a stupid child. What a dip this one is. How about we start to kidnap and hold for ransom. Or as you put it, "why should we care what happens on the other side of the world?". Your own words accidentally spoke the truth.

And if the Quran burning doesn't persuade you Muslims, well then we'll invade and bomb a couple of Muslim nations, ha ha, and.... umm...

What's that? We tried that already? Oh.

Who knew our national defense was this simple? All we have to do is provide a government-issue butane lighter and a copy of the Koran to every American. Voila, the war on terror has been won!

This would be the 21st century equivalent of wearing garlic around your neck to ward off vampires.

Man, conservatives' view of the world is so infantile! A guy like this is simply not capable of complex thought.

I'm interested in purchasing some of your magic garlic.

I haven't seen this mentioned, and maybe it's way too obvious, but what are the odds that Pastor Mustache was recruited as a sacrificial lamb by the GOP ? He gets some air-time for his little cult, they get a false equivalence that's good enough for their base.

This is when we need the cats from Law & Order to check the most recent calls on his cell phone.

      "..hell of a negotiating tool..."

Yep, you're right if your intention is to tick off an enemy you made by being insensitive in the first place. No, dummy, what you do is get every Muslim, including the moderates and liberals, to think that Americans have no respect or tolerance for Islam and that we want to destroy it completely. Yep, a great way to get them even angrier at us than they are now. I guess you have a secret death wish for yourself and everyone around you. What an idiot!

Don't give up your day job as a wackadoodle, unpaid radio hack fill-in, completely lacking in knowledge of how the world really operates.

Only a fool would believe that. A rational person would find it disrespectful but know that they could always print more. A crazy person would think it was something to kill for. I don't see how it could be an effective bargaining tool.

You know he's listening to Rush on his little radio ( your post was less than an hour into the Blimpy Show) and thumb-downing anything that contradicts what Rush is telling him, i.e., anything factual or logical.

An anonymous thumbs-down on a Limbaugh thread is sort of like a passing grade in reality.

donnie deutsch on msnbc today suggested that Obama use federal marshalls to do whatever it takes to stop this koran burning bullcrap....and pat bucannan was in total agreement...i guess bucannan would also support the government storming radio stations and remove seditious talk show hosts from the air for advocting for behavior that may cause harm to soldiers and americans traveling abroad....Mr Obama should realize that these racist right wingers have been burning relegious symbols for decades. its their thing, perhaps he can simply supply Doc with a truckload of big ole giant wooden crucifixes and a hillside to burn em on and they will scrap this whole koran burning thing.
