How disgusting can anyone get. I never knew the stalwarts in our own party could get so vulgar. As my mom would say, they need their mouths washed out with soap. Once the way she did it to me when I was 7 after I repeated some terrible talk I had heard my Uncles say actually lasted a life time for me.

Again listen to the double standard with you people !

This is somehow wrong, yet what progressives do everyday is ok ?

So if this man needs help then what does Keith Olberman and the delusional Paul Krugman need ?

Mr. Okeffe seems pretty lucid to me, he knows exactly what he is doing, going after the enemy, while Progressives like Krugman are simply insane or liars when they tell us the stimulus is working and the recession is over yet real unemployment remains above 9% even with all the men and women who have come off the count in recent weeks ! Now that is what you call crazy, the Joe Biden "Summer Of Recovery" from 9.6 % unemployment to what Blomberg News is predicting will be 10% again soon !

Mission Accomplished, Rome is burning .....

Troll, you have no idea what Krugman is saying. He's said time and time again that the stimulus isn't working well enough because it's not big enough. Also, the unemployment rate tends to be the last thing to recover at the end of a recession.

I suppose you'd prefer no stimulus and a 12-14% unemployment rate.

I doubt he actually thought he'd get her to do the deed. What would have happened is the release of a highly-edited tape that tried to make it look as though she was cavorting with this clown while she was working on her documentary. Anything to discredit the work she was doing. He would have claimed it was all an elaborate ruse to show how easily enticed she could be by sweets and silk sheets. I mean, strawberries and champagne???? Really??? Only a virgin thinks that will work.

If I say black is black are you going to argue and say no black is white? Once again, conservatives can't see the truth even when it's staring them straight in the face. They have no new ideas, all their policies have been proven failures, so this is the kind of thing they've resorted to.

No double standard, idiot. Has Keith Olbermann ever created spliced, truncated, "heavily edited" (the court's term) videotapes which destroyed a legitimate business entity? Has Keith Olbermann ever entered a federal official's office in disguise and under false pretenses in order to wiretap said official's phones? Has Keith Olbermann ever created a plan to sexually blackmail a legitimate journalist? O'Keefe has done ALL of those things.

The stimulus IS working, idiot, it just wasn't big enough. Independent economists have stated that, had the stimulus NOT been passed, unemployment would have been 1.5-2.0 points HIGHER. The unemployment figures were created by the MASSIVE loss of jobs in the last few months of Bush's presidency and the MASSIVE loss of jobs in the first two months of Obama's presidency. They were caused by the Bush administration's policies.

I don't really care if you like Obama or not . . . was not a supporter, but try really hard to learn the truth and hate him for a legitimate reason. Otherwise, you just look uninformed and ignorant.

And the stimulus wasn't big enough because around a third of it was in the form of lowered taxes, which the Republicans demanded and got and still wouldn't vote for.

Isn't it funny how someone who lost their job during the Bush years and because of Bush economic policies is now the club used to beat the current President with, even though NONE of that was his fault?

As soon as they stop being uninformed and ignorant, bintx, they stop being Faux Cons.

He'll blow that silly nonsense that you're spewing right out of the water. The idea that liberal talking heads in the media do what conservative talking heads in the media do in terms of lies and deception is absolute nonsense. And if you think O'Keefe is lucid, than you know less about honesty in the media than you do about progressives.

Good question, I haven't seen much Fox lately, so I don't know.

I guess I was using "Fox" as shorthand for the GOP wingnut cult at large, not specifically on the cable channel.

Interesting. I just checked Fox News.com and the Foxnation site, and as far as I could tell, there's no mention of O'Keefe's latest degeneracy. Maybe they have disappeared him, but I'll bet he's still considered an esteemed journalist by the Fox Fans.

I searched "O'Keefe" at Fox Nation and got this page of results.

Nothing very recent, he might be down the rabbit hole as far as the official Fox policy, but I did see some commenters at the CNN site on the story who are thanking O'Keefe for "busting" ACORN, and casting more suspicion on the CNN reporter than O'Keefe.

I don't this was just about being a creepy pervert. I think it was an attempt to blackmail a CNN reporter. Maybe his goal was to blackmail her so she would do the investigative reports he wanted, or that she would lie in her reports to favor his arguments. Creepiness and amateurism aside, O'Keefe and Breitbart would have made much hay with the video. It would not have mattered that the CNN reporter would have laughed in his face -- just audio of opening pleasantries coupled (you'l lpardon the expression) with video of him, her and the accompanying props would have given these liars what they were looking for. That is exactly what they did with the ACORN videos.

You simply don't understand their viewpoint. They're coming from a mindset where women simply don't have rights. If a man wants to have sex with a woman (or slap her butt, say lewd things to her, or spread rumors about her, etc) then these sick people feel that the guy has a right to do so. Women have no rights above men in their world. They have no standing, no place, no nothing. Do you really think that the right wing looks at Sarah Palin as some sort of leader? They likely spend most of the time she's spewing out regurgitated talking points staring at her chest or imagining her giving them a bj or something.

They've demonstrated time and again that they have no use for women other than as showpieces and breeding mares. Look at how quickly they all come out (Limbaugh, Beck, O'Keefe, Gingrich, etc) to attack any woman who dares do anything or has anything done to her by men. They pile on as quick as they can, claiming that it's the 'woman's fault' and all sorts of other nonsense.

Quite frankly these sick bastards deserve to be strung up.

Oh, I get that viewpoint, dyklep, I just don't think it's confined to views on women. It applies to views about other races and religions as well.

I think people like O'Keefe are very focused on their being straight white Christian males by accident of birth. No talent, not too bright, not blessed physically - he needs to feel superiority, even if it's based on something he has no control over, and did nothing to achieve.

After some thought, I feel bad that she was tipped off to what was planned. The hurt she would have put on O'Keefe would have been legen..wait for it..dary! He would have lost whatever little good looks that he has. That video I would have loved to see!

O'Keefe's picture should be used as an illustration on this page:

Okeefe is harmless, but seriously dude, Strawberries and Champaigne? Dude's got no game. Sure, I'd claim it was a 'prank' too if I was that pathetic.

You can be my wingman Jimmy we'll hit the town, I'll show you how its done. Dude seriously needs a nice woman and needs to stop being Fox's crony.

Sounds like criminal intent to rape. Alone on a boat, champagne, handcuffs, under the guise of activist journalism. Sounds like a recipe for things to quickly get out of hand.

      Very disturbing. Not Just O'Keefe.

O'keefe has made a name for himself by using dirty tricks and dishonest tactics to make a name for himself. The right wing political establishment has shown they are willing to "win" at all costs and that the end justifies the means.

In normal times America, this would not happen. This megalomaniac would have been shut down early either before or after the Acorn smear, and he would have never been given the backing and support to proceed to this level of twisted depravity.

Most disturbing of all, is not just that major media outlets and the press won't ignore or lampoon this sociopath, but that there is a market and belief in this kind of sick trickery.

For a story like this to even get this far, something is very very wrong with out culture.

I think Christine O'Donnell's mythical human mouse hybrids have proliferated and infiltrated the GOP.

Picture James O'Keefe munching on a wedge of Camembert and you can't help but see whiskers twitching.

There is a line between free speech and harassment. This little creep is going to end up in a jail cell someday. The definition of 'seduction' is a little different there.

      Damm!

Since she knew in advance, I wish Abbie would've done a double-punk and gone along with this little jurkoff right up to the point where he stripped first.

She could have then revealed her hidden camera (mmmm... thoughts wandering... must return to point... mmmm...).

Anywho, maybe it wouldn't have been 100% ethical journalism, but it would've been some really fun video.

So did CNN ever bother to get the true story about the ACORN videos out prior to this story? They flat out say that the ACORN videos were doctored and ACORN did nothing wrong here, but did they ever make a big deal out of that before?

It be nice to CNN report this aggressively on other stories rather than just when they are upset one of their own almost got victimized.

He wasn't going to seduce her. He was going to drug her. That's why his ally had qualms about going along with it.

He is a sick creep, NOT an activist.

      I've got O'Keefe figured out.

He was a few episodes of "Punk'd" on MTV and decided he would be the 'conservative Ashton Kutsher'. That intention shows through in all his efforts.

His problem is he hasn't really caught anyone embarrassing themselves and his work is not funny or entertaining. He seems too stupid to understand this.

So I expect O'Keefe's sad Kutsher wannabe act will continue.

So John Stewart is right... that creepy idiot toe-head, James OQueef the Tird, DOES get his ideas from cheap porn.

      What a complete moron!!!

James Okeefe should just stop before he humiliates himself, and the brain-dead idiots dumb enough to follow him, even more than he already has.

Clearly the guy has just lost his marbles, and having a chronic crack-head like Breitbart stewing up these creepy ideas doesnt help.

(But I still wonder how such habitual loosers could ever drum up the funding to maintain this crap, even from a bigot like Peter Thiel. I thought conservatives didnt like to throw good money after bad... so far, outside of unfairly defunding ACORN, all James and Andy have done is cost their constituents more money, and cause them more credibility problems... and that IS saying something.)

Like Breitbart, James has become the very picture of unreliability on the internet.

And the idea that he could seduce ANYTHING!!!!!
      GROSSS!!!!

Could you imagine that boney little creep trying to press his gristle all over you?!?! EWWW!!!!

Like being dry-humped by the Crypt Keeper.

Thats enough to scare me straight... or at least celibate!

Since OKeefe has already tried to assault the dignity of gay people, he might find himself more successful by taking part in conversion therapy... All he has to do is show off that grotesque fish-belly physique of his to turn us off of guys for good!
My god, its like Ken Russels Gothic gone horribly wrong!!!

Anyhow, cheers to the young lady who had the back-bone to know right from wrong.

And a note to James and Andy,... setting up scenes like this is just creepy. And outside of being the second biggest liars of the New Milennium (Bush and Co. take first place) you will be forever remembered as the creepiest people in recent history.

      For Shame!
