Beck denies evolution: "I haven't seen a half-MAN, half-@SS yet"
Tune to Fox News at P.M. Monday thru Friday and see Devolution at Work !
Congrats for being the first to post it.
So Beckie disputes the Theory of Evolution,,,,,,,,yet he believes the Angel Moroni appeared to Joseph Smith.
She claims that there are mice running around with human brains, you know.
And he does admit that he doesn't know how God creates.
Has he ever seen God?
And if not, why does he believe in him.
Which God is cooler, one who does cheap magic tricks like creating everything all at once or one who makes this elaborate plan starting from a giant explosion and ending with us typing on keyboards?
Not that I'm giving God any credit, just that if I were going to worship one, it'd be one, it would be the later, not the magician.
And that was before he had come to know Glenn Beck! :>)
Give me a break. DOn't believe in that kind of god.
Another in the long series of well-researched commentary on science from the egg-beatered brain of Glenn Beck.
BTW, Glenn, I hear there were a couple of the half-and-halfers on Dancing With The Stars last night.
Heifer-halfer-hoofer.
Actually, that's just Rupert Murdoch viewed through a drugged-out haze...
Religion is literally the thing that holds us back from, well, evolving.
Here's a clue, Beck. You should care because the second our scientific curiosity and ingenuity dies, so does American exceptionalism.
Glenn talks of his ideas about evolution,,,has Glenn read:On the origin of Species?Has Glenn ever taken a college level science course?
Glenn speaks about the military,,,,,,Did I miss something,,was he a Marine,Soldier, was he in the Air Force or Navy?,,,,,,
What Beck knows about the military probably comes from daily viewing of re-runs of F-Troop and Gomer Pyle.
Assuming verbal terrorist Glenn Beck isn't saying this just for laughs, Glenn would be describing 'spontaneous evolution' which could occur only in a Gary Larson cartoon.

This 2008 LiveScience article offers a different prospective.
Ultimatley it is hard to believe we, as a country, can be so dense. Fools like Beck only exacerbate the problem.
We beat Turkey!
And if you look in a dictionary under stupid, you will find a pic of Glen. Sigh....
COnsider that now that TExas has decided to eviscerate from its textbooks Thomas Jefferson (???) their students will not know who drafted the Declaration of Independence. They also want to include the knuckleheaded idea of Creationism. Texas buys the most text books in the nation so Text book manufacturers will now be eviscerating Jefferson from all the nation's text books...And challenging the noble sciences.
And people wonder we we are an ignorant nation living in our own filth.
I would agree with him. Fortunately, the commonly held Theory of Human Evolution doesn't contend that, either. Would it be too much to ask that he actually understand the other side's position before he doesn't believe it?
However, Bleek brings to mind Alexander Dumas, who was asked during a debate if he honestly thought his family was descended from apes.
Dumas replied "Sir - my family began where yours left off."
Creationism/Intelligent Design has nothing to do with science, or the quality of education. Its only purpose is to protect religious dogma from the encroachment of science.
The church says the earth is flat, but I know that it is round, for I have seen the shadow on the moon, and I have more faith in a shadow than in the church. — Ferdinand Magellan
Here's an interesting article I've posted before. (And got in trouble when I did, so upfront, it's a parody site.)

then why didn't the dinasour fish survive?
Is the earth really 6000 years old?
It forbids the United States from Establishing a National Religion.
We can worship as we choose, Christian, Wiccan, Muslim, etc.
Here it is:
Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression. Ratified 12/15/1791.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
And everybody that says Glen looks like a monkey....please stop insulting the monkeys, that's not nice.
OK Glenn, just because you don't understand something even on a superficial level does not mean that it's not true. Just because your lack the capacity or don't want to take the time to understand something doesn't mean it's being forced. Just because you or your disciples need to question your paradigm doesn't mean that you're being attacked.
Oh, and you're wrong. "Round Earthers" faced a lot of resistance from people who liked things just the way they were - despite the fact, as you rightly said, that it's true. Evolution is more than an idea. Stop peddling ignorance.
As someone who promotes "educating oneself," you really should heed your own advice.
