We Report, You Decide.
What, no halo of fire digitally added to the President's head?
We distort, you deride.
Well unless it's one of the politicians our sponsors have in their pocket.
Words? Not so much.
I did, however, watch the FOX coverage of the speech. I watched the reaction of the "random" people that they pulled in to watch and analyze the speech. Frank Luntz, Mr. "no-bias" reporting. Anyone else catch that? That was pretty funny. I swear they gave nasty pills out to 95% of those folks. Mean defined.
Even listening with that filter on, the Republican rebuttal ( Ryan, I believe) made the president's speech shine in comparison. I drifted off after a few minutes of undefined rambling about spending cuts and erotic whispers about the constitution.
Ha Ha Haaaa! Great joke mano. Better then Obama's bombs last night.
Congratulations, you're part of the problem.
There is no way in Hell Fox News can be "fair and balanced" under these circumstances.
Despite the slogan, Fox News doesn't try to hide their bias.
George W. Bush was a buffoon. He gave entertaining speeches for all the wrong reasons, mostly by accident. This is what you get from a clown who could care less about being serious.
The worse thing about Bush's comedy routine, other than a lack of substance and lies, it was acceptable behavior from the leader of the free world".
When I listen to a speech, I pay more attention to what is said than how it is said. I don't need someone who talks loud and says nothing. The speech the President gave was a great speech. I don't need anyone to tell me otherwise, especially when I saw it for myself.
Fox News is childish and their audience is immature. That would explain why Fox News makes a mockery of intelligence.
Then, as all good Obama followers (lemmings) always do, sez BHO gave a great speech because mano saw it for himself.
Memo to democrats: You can go ahead and keep mano on your side. We don't want his type on our side. We want folks who possess some decent thinking skills and judge people by the content of their character - not by the color of their skin.
Well, maybe if you're good, and you keep writing those letters to Santa, you'll eventually get some people like that. Hope springs eternal.
Thanks for the "great post" complement.
Somehow you believe I "exhibit a bit of racism against white folks". What give you that impression? Is it because I used the term "white folks"?. Would you feel better if I said white people instead?
"Racism" would suggest I have power to control a group of people. I do not.
"Racism" also would suggest I hate a group of people due to their skin color. I do not because it is silly to hate someone for something they can't control. I'm black and some people hate me because of it. That is stupid. I have better sense than that.
So you are wrong on both counts.
Just so you know, I stick by the fact that Fox News is "childish, immature" when it comes to this President.
It is true that Obama has a sense of humor and he displayed some of it during his speech, but the overall speech was serious and informative. Can you deny that? Who doesn't throw in a joke or two during a speech?
It doesn't matter what this President does Fox News will criticize, attack, undermine and mock him, and they have been consistent. This IS childish, especially if you claim to be "News".
You are as twisted as those I point out.
You say I am a "good Obama follower". What if I told you I am a bad Obama follower. Would that make any different? The fact is I still appreciate intelligent speeches and speakers.
When I say it was a good speech, I am speaking for myself. If you said it was a bad speech, would you be speaking for every moron in America? No, you would be speaking for yourself. Just so you know, I don't have to be a Democrat to appreciate a good speech (or speaker). It makes no difference to me.
I will always be on the side of good and righterousness. This could exclude me from both Parties, but I can tell you this: Today's Republicans are the epitome and personification of evil and destruction (self). They are on the wrong side of every issue that is good for the American people (other than the rich).
If that is the side you want to be on than we need to question your intelligence, or should I say, lack of.
I'm just posting this because I've made the mistake of trying to have an adult conversation with him in the past. Not possible.
Intelligence is always appreciated.Thanks
" . . . because mano saw it for himself" -- as opposed to, what? Listening to a Rush Limpballs/FOX "edited" version?
Well, that certainly explains why the Republicans keep such mental giants as Palin and Brewer around. Well played.
<crickets>
The conclusion was made first, before the speech even happened, that the President sucked. Muting the applause and laughter was a way to change the facts so they fit their narrative and conclusion. I'm sure thats not an original theory, but bear with me..I'm kinda new at this. lol
Lemme guess: this is part of FNC's "straight news" block -- right?
But MSNBC made fun of President Bush all the time, it's so stupid how people forget that.
The viewers and the employees of FAUX are wasting what precious clean air we have left!
Is this really any worse than when Bush was in the office. I seem to remember all of you guys calling him stupid and dumb even though he was an educated man. Yet when somebody of questionable character enters the office, were not allowed to say anything? What a double standard you Libs are!
