Never trust a Progressive. If you do, next thing you know your water and air will be cleaner, your workplace safer and your work week shorter and your pay higher, and your kids will be going to decent schools instead of working at the local factory at the age of eight or heading to the coal mines. Put your trust in a Progressive, and before you know it you can't own black people anymore, and women have the right to vote, own property, and sue for divorce...yeah, those damn progressives, they ruin everything. Don't trust them, not an INCH.

All of you guys are correct. Staffers at Fox News don't care for Beck. When his ship was sinking, certain hosts didn't lift a finger on his behalf.

Beck's attack on Huckabee is just the beginning. If he goes down, he's taking some Fox News people with him.

Yeah, and Beck keeps saying that Wallis organized a boycott against him. He did nothing of the kind. Beck asked for people to "turn in" people who were preaching social justice in the church. Wallis just encouraged people to turn themselves in to Beck. When 50,000 sent e-mails to Beck and to Fox, Beck started trashing Wallis.

This brings back a warm and fuzzy memory for me, bintx.

Remember when that dim-bulb akmikeus was here, getting the vapors about all of the "hate and vitriol", the lack of civility on the left ?

Right before I stumbled on him posting at The Blaze, openly recruiting people to assassinate Wallis, because Beck told him to.

At that point, it was already comedy gold, but he doubled down, insisting it must be an impostor, a completely different paranoid Beckbot using the same unusual screen name over at the Blaze.

Worst cover story since The Vicar and the Potato.

If you're going to visit questionable sites, you probably don't want to use the same screen name you use on less questionable sites. A quick Google and the jig is up! LOL!

Really, true Christians should be appalled by this. I'm not talking about finger-wagging Bible thumpers. I'm referring to people who follow the teachings of Christ and try to live their daily lives helping one another. Glenn & his ilk can read the Bible backwards & forwards 24/7 but if they don't LIVE it, especially the New Testament they shouldn't talk or chastise anyone.

A large number of Southern Baptists aren't conservatives, as that term is currently defined, either. It's the leadership which went all fundamentalists on 'em.

I listened to Beck's radio show for a few minutes this morning (bored with Stephanie "I mean I mean I mean you know I mean really I um you know you know I just you know I mean" Miller's breathless antics) and heard a seriously creepy call in from a woman who sounded as if her voice was shaking with nervousness and awe at speaking to Her Hero. She talked about how she followed Beck "religiously" from city to city where he held rallies, taking her nine year old daughter and mom with her all the time (no mention of the kid's dad- I'm guessing he bailed some time ago) and how, in Chicago, she tried hard to stand up when Beck asked people in the audience who "had courage" to do so- but she "felt like a weight was holding me down" and couldn't, and now she felt so ashamed that she had not stood up. Beck "forgave" her and told her that her call made the Chicago rally worth it, and I thought the woman was going to have an orgasm over the radio. It was truly disgusting and more than a little horrifying.

People like that woman have no critical thinking skills & look for a "leader" to latch on to. I am sure she hangs on to every word that comes out of Glennies mouth as if he were God incarnate. People like that will do anything for their leader which makes them dangerous and scary. I have heard similar callers to Rush Limbaugh. They usually start out by saying something like: "Mr Limbaugh it is such an HONOR to speak with you sir. You are my hero--blah, blah, blah." These people scare the heck out of me.

Went to an MLB game a few months ago. We were sitting at left field, and there was a drunk fat guy holding a beer standing at the rail and harassing the opposing team's left fielder incessantly. "Hey 42, you're a bum! You're mother's a bum! Hey 42! [pause for dramatic effect] Your brothers and sisters are bums! Your dog is a bum! etc." And then he'd take five and sip his beer and start all over: "Hey 42, you're a bum!..."

First - Media Matters is a progressive site. What is the difference between a democratic socialist and a progressive (a post-Roosevelt/Wilson progressive, that is)?

Jim Wallis appeared on Democracy Now! lately and I couldn't see why Amy Goodman would ever think about inviting an evangelical Christer on her program. Evangelicals were largely behind the Bushista support base, and Christian fundamentalism (at least in America). He was a good enough guest, but he included a bit of irrationality in his appearance (namely, about the "faith" community). He's by no means a Marxist. Historically, liberation theoology/Christian Marxism has largely come from the Catholics, such as in Central America.

There's a marked difference between the ideology of the more fascist "Progressives", characterized by the presidents preceding FDR (they espoused support for the state racism/white supremacy that existed at the time) and the Americans who are called "Progressives" today. Beck mixes them up. But Huckabee is more in line with the pre-FDR "Progressives", than those called progressives today.

I never trusted Huckabee to do what we needed for our country. I was as against him as I was McCain and for the same reason. They do not have a strong resolve. I agree they are fine men just not presidential material. It is just like republicans to agree with the democrats that we need to get along and work together. But when democrats were in power they didn't get along and work together. No it is war on because we are fighting for our constitution, for what made us great!! They (Huckabee and McCain) will allow the progressives to continue with their control taking schemes and look at them as harmless, not recognizing that our rights are slowly but surely being taken away. I say to all Americans wake up!!! Glen Beck has opened the eyes of this country to so much of the lefts agenda and yet you still spit in his face. For those who have done their due diligence our eyes are open and we are the better for it.

Beck uses progressive as a catch all label for all things evil. It has absolutely no meaning coming from his mouth.

Wallis has been on Beck's radar since he broke ranks and pointed out how shamelessly the GOP has co-opted Christians and how little their platform has to do with Christ's teachings.
