Okay, then. "Apologize for the terrorist" is the official marching order at Fox. Wish I was surprised.

More "high quality" political discourse brought to you by FOXPAC. I suffered through this clip and it reminded me of a bunch a screeching primates in a pen pleasuring themselves. None of these idiots have any business being heard on a televised cable network. Another reason to be proud of yourself FOXPAC, for being nothing besides a purveyor of sewage.

Hmmm -- does Michelle Obama compare McDonald's to Nazi Germany? Does she call the owners of Burger King socialists, communists or fascists? Does she advocate "second amendment remedies" against the inventor of the deep fried Twinkie?

      Nope.

Talk about a false equivalency argument...

Ha ha, I read the headline, and was thinking " A massacre at a fast food convention? I haven't heard anyhthing about this, is it in the news?"

Then I watched the clip, and realized it was just a ridiculous hypothetical, and a far-fetched false equivalence, as you note.

These wingnuts really have trouble separating fact from fantasy.

And Tantaros is making the same mistake* that so many of them, the idea that saying this guy was a rabid right winger somehow equates to saying he's rational. I haven't heard anybody suggest that.

His ideology is no nuttier than the typical Foxbot, he's just a little more ambitious, and less afraid of standing up for his principles.

Wow. What a stupid remark, and a gratuitous, irrelevant jab at the First Lady, as well. By the end of the clip, they had moved on to discussing gun control laws and the comparison of murder rates, but she had to throw in this little partisan dig at the last second. I suppose she was still smarting over the possibility that the shooter might actually be a Right Wing Christian Troglodyte.

The facts regarding guns in this country simply don't faze these idiots. What happened in Norway was unreal because it has never happened before. If this happened here, it would be a tragedy but hardly unprecedented. 10,000 murders vs. 500. Who has the better gun laws?

Yep! Hell, I'm a gun nut myself! And even I know that we need better controls, and that the reason this is rare in other nations is that GUNS are rare in other nations.

They've got the same percentage of crazy assh*les, similar societal stresses, but fewer freaking guns.

My husband is a gun nut too but he doesn't walk around with one attached to his hip on a daily basis thinking he is going to take out the next criminal he sees.

What we have is a significant number of people in this country that are obsessed with guns, along with this stupid idea that they are going to prevent the government from taking over their lives if they are carrying a big gun. It is a culture of paranoia in the extreme.

True. I remember reading, years before the NRA became more powerful than god, that our per capita murder rate, guns excluded, was the same as the rest of the industrialized world, give or take a point or two. Adding firearms to the mix, however, made the good ole USA Number 1, by a huge margin.

10.000 versus 500 murders has anything to do with (USA) 308.745.538 (or 1 killing per 30.875) versus (Norway) 4.660.539 (or 1 killing per 9.321) inhabitants? You see, the killing rate is actually 3 times higher in Norway than it is in the USA. So who has the better gunlaw?

Strewth, what a bunch of dumb, parochial hicks. Only one sane individual in the lot?

The downright stupid arrogance on display is the perfect illustration of why the rest of the world does not regard the U.S. as a model on how to run a country.

Apart from the gymnastics on display to disown the perpetrator of this atrocity there is the habitual resort to bullying and violence as a means of operating a criminal justice system and maintaining the rule of law.

No wonder your prisons are full and your murder rate is so high - it starts at the top!

"If anybody had a gun, this could have been stopped"

What a stupid hypothesis. And if anybody had a rocket launcher on 9/11, this could have been stopped, too? We clearly must stop the strict regulations on rocket launchers.

Norway doesn't even have very strict gun laws as there are many people hunting. Plus, I myself have taken part in a number of political youth camps and I can say that the very last thing you fear on an Island discussing politics is a raging gunman. Of course nobody had a gun with him. Why should they?
