Its Rush Limbaugh II !!!
(Pretty much how I look at the Tea Party as well.)

IMHO
UTOPIA
And no, this cannot be made up:

It’s silly season: Aliens and global warming “fun” paper picked up by the Guardian and others and the co-author apologises
And you know what - those smart people? They had no idea that half the planet was stupid enough to take such a project seriously.
I found it sad and depressing, however, that Nye had to cover is rear several times, such as when he said that "the world is getting smaller" then had to explain that he meant the ease of communication and travel, because he knew that the Fox idiots would leap on this "the world is getting smaller" claim and then ignore the what he meant and try to show that the diameter of the Earth is unchanged and that Nye doesn't know what he's talking about.
I wish Nye had a lot more time to explain things in great detail and debunk all the lies coming out of Fox, but they quickly sweep him off the air whenever he talks sense...
..........Right?
He studied mechanical engineering at Cornell University, where one of his professors was Carl Sagan, and graduated with a bachelor of science degree in 1977
The man knows his stuff.
That aside, he's not harmless, kids are a pain to teach, and he knows how to keep their attention. So of course he would wipe the floor with them, their argument is on the level of a elementary children.
I should know how good he was, I watched his tv show growing up:P Coolest teacher ever.
They don't want Bill Nye to educate their viewers. I just wish Bill hadn't used the second half of the interview to scientifically vindicate Al Gore's statement. I guess Bill thought he would have a little more time to explain these concepts to the Fox viewer, but I suppose he isn't too familiar with the new sensational media format. Unless you have a celebrity murder case or abducted white girl to talk about, you're lucky to get one full segment.

Don Herbert (teacher) -- Dead. Bone cancer. Died June 12, 2007. Born July 10, 1917. Mr. Wizard.
Every time this loud newsbuddy tries to cause a stir, he uses his calm, deep, respectful voice to completely defuse the assumption.
For once, I have no problem with Faux' strange tendency to invite celebrities as experts.
....Wow, Bill Nye just talked about sex. I'm blown away.
I agree. I was surprised that Mr. Nye fell into that trap. They cannot argue the science, so they confuse the issue with a non-science attack on Al Gore. Have you ever read comments on a climate change article where some one did not attack climate change by bringing up Al Gore?
Off-the-Mark Levin argued that some "scientists" don't believe the earth is warming at all; some believe it is, but it is not caused by humans.
This is, of course, a self-defeating argument, because the two groups exclude each other.
I mean, you can really see what made Nye a great educational host. In my opinion, he has his kid gloves on. I loathe to paint all of FOX's viewers in such an arrogant way (I think calling of all FOX's viewers equivalent to children is just a tad arrogant on my part), but it really looks like he is dealing with fussy children.
The explanation was: the science, based on facts, makes something apparent. If one still believes otherwise, that belief is based on emotion.
Racism: based on emotion. Climate-change denial: based on emotion.
Fox Network: based on emotion.
Bill held his own as part of a local TV (NW)comedy show while still doing the science thing all over the place.
He is his own flavor of formidable.
Nye did not back down and I am glad he did not. But I am sure faux will use his dog sex comments to try to denigrate him somehow.
Why anyone with any integrity would appear on faux is beyond me.
Maybe Mr Nye thinks he might just do a tiny bit of good.
Over 1,000 other international scientists, including many current and former UN IPCC scientists, challenged man-made global warming claims made by the IPCC.

Previously 31,072 scientists declared that there is no scientific evidence that man-made GHG causes disruption of the earth’s climate.

Recent scientific reports by thousands of scientists in hundreds of reports dispute AGW.

A moldie oldie to be sure.
But when did they start hating on high speed rail?
Is it because the rest of the world does it and does it well?
When they were told what to think about it by people in bed with the large energy interests, of course. They make more money in the short term by keeping as many individual cars on the roads as much as possible, whether or not it's good for our nation, or the long term economic outlook of this country is irrelevant.
"united in one harmonious bashing of everyone opposed to pseudo-science."
And what do you know about science? Are you a scientist?
On the other hand, if every scientist, educator, or what have you approached by Fox flatly refused to go on that miserable excuse for a news network, eventually Fox would have no way to say they were representing "both sides". Everything and everyone affiliated with that network has one agenda in mind. Don't be part of it.
And yet here you are...
It's humorous to watch him here on Fox News, where he seems completely flustered that he is unable to dumb it down enough for Fox News viewers and reporters to understand.
Bill Nye was the host of a children's show. Fox doesn't seem to think much of the intelligence of their viewers.
Bill Nye: I have this scientific data that says the Earth is warming.
Fox Host: I heard from ONE guy that it's only gotten warmer by 1 degree in 100 years.... I'm going to him for his word.
Science or Hearsay....
I'll take SCIENCE.
Bill Nye: They haven't happened yet. And besides, global warming also means fewer hurricanes. Trust me, it's science and I'm a scientist.
Viewer: Hmmm, host of a kids show being interviewed by an investment banker about climate. What channel has the ballgame?
Just wondering though: How come some extreme weather (like hurricanes and heat waves) is global warming and other extreme weather (ice storms and, you know, winter) is "just weather," which as we all know isn't the same as climate?
Love Bill Nye, wish his show was around when I was a kid.
But, the big question: Why does Fox have an investment guy anchoring a show in which weather phenomena are discussed?
All news media should tap people like Bill Nye more. He has such a calm, fun way of explaining things in a way that is hard to misunderstand, and his plain language, civil tone, and bow-tie so effectively defuse political rancor (at least for a minute).
Where the heck did they find this guy? If he can't follow this, somebody is going to have to sit behind him and remind him to keep breathing.
Bill Nye on AGAIN? Did a producer finally give up and pull his finger out of the dike holding back science and start to let it trickle in? Why?
Scientific conclusions are not meant to be complicated. They are meant to be obvious. That's part of the beauty of science. Explaining it such that all understand it takes some skill, and Nye is one who thankfully has it. Another such hero is Neil deGrasse Tyson.
It's true that all of the causes are not totally clear and it's probably more complex than anyone yet believes. That doesn't change the facts. Denying facts is not only stupid, but dangerous.
Will they? NO!!!
After you fail at that, will you stick around and make more useless comments? Why do you ask your own useless questions that nobody asked? To win an argument with yourself?
You seem to have loads of data on hurricanes. Point us to the frequency and intensity of each, and the time-series analysis of them. While you're at it, show the time-series analysis of CO2 concentration, global temperature, and ocean temperature.
Ooh, and please define "climate event." I'd like to add that one to the denier lexicon. And please explain these "climate event" cycles.
Oh, and please explain the Carbon Cycle.
And when scientists speak of Global Warming, to what are they referring?
What is science for, Kidney Bean? Go ahead, google to your heart's desire. Have an answer?
I have sources that refer to verifiable conclusions. You don't. I can refer to explanations and consensus that lead to sensible conclusion, based on sound methodology that has been reviewed by peers. What do you have, other than what you dream up? I have facts and reliable studies for you. You have emotional BS.
And get your history right. You just said that man caused drought in the 30's, just what you said man can't do. Go back and figure out the difference between the terms "Dust Bowl" and "drought" fer godsake.
