It happens all the time. Lawyers depend on it. You can fight the case and end up paying more in fees to your lawyer and still possibly loose and pay even more. Or you can settle for a smaller amount and be done with it. It all comes down to the bottom line which way is cheaper.

I used to have a Cocker Spaniel (dumb as a box of rocks) that was smarter than all of them put together.
I came home tonight and flipped on the TV as I was making something to eat, and I left on on MSNBC for something else that caught my ear. I heard this played as they were going to a commercial, just the " Our blacks are better than their blacks" line. Because I don't really trust any of the mainstream media, I figured it was out of context, that Coulter was mocking liberals as saying that. You know, the condescending, elitist thing they use when they have noting else.
It wasn't until I listened to this clip that I realized she was serious. That is incredible, and just another example of how clueless the typical racist is, they don't even hear themselves.
While Stepin' Fetchit sooths the fears of racist whites with his subservience Ole Zip, who is decidedly "uppity" scares the Hell out of them.
Well, I'm sure it's because of that lovey voice of hers. It carries so well across the airwaves. Personally her voice makes my hair hurt. If anyone comes close to making me feel rage it's Coulter.
Every remark she made was so offensive on so many levels. They only wish they had someone of Maxine Waters caliber in their party.
In many ways her politics are antebellum--race relations, evolution, religion.
And why does Skeletor think that GOP lovin' Blacks are better? Well obviously it is because they never challenge the status quo. They tell White America what it wants to hear--i.e. segregation wasn't so bad, there is no racism in America anymore, Blacks are criminally inclined, Blacks live in poverty because they are lazy, etc. The term for such people is "House Ni@@er". It also irks me to no end when right-wingers blame Democrats for slavery and Jim Crow Laws but never mention that it was CONSERVATIVE Democrats that did such things. Right-wingers like you Skeletor! I will give her one point, in her position that it's much harder for a black person to be a Republican . I imagine it's pretty hard for a Jew to join the KKK, or a gay man to join the God Hates F49s Church. Being completely brainwashed and fighting against ones own interests can't be easy.

Conservative blacks belittle and demonize their own race such as Allen west comments and the "brainwashed blacks" comment by Herman Cain.
The reason why white neon-cons like them is because they ignore their obvious problems with race, and they fit in with their twisted sense of values on race issues.
They easily ignore Glaring racism like Rush Limbaugh's 'barrack the magic negro', Obama Bucks scandal and Mark Williams racist letter which got him kicked out of the TEA PARTY.
Which was still racist before and after he left.
Ann Coulter talk about "our blacks" sounds like she only tolerate conservative black as long as they support her cracked conservative views.
Other than that, with her history of race baiting, she does not care too much for us.

She was targeting Muslims at the time and was informed if she didn't cease and desist she would be arrested and charged for the crime of hate speech at her next stop in the tour.
Coulter was so afraid, that she IMMEDIATELY, beat it back to the US, all the while complaining about the lack of "freedom of speech" .
Without racism and bigotry, she has NOTHING else to offer.
Unfortunately, the US has yet to differentiate the difference between freedom of speech and hate speech as most other countries have.
At the same time they are very clear on the rules of profanity.
Until they do, the Coulters, Limbaughs etc., will continue to peddle their hate filled rhetoric, that is far more profane than any of the "13 words you can't say on TV" that George Carlin pointed out.
I remember that -- If I recall correctly, while she was there a Canadian reporter put her in her place about Canada sending troops to Vietnam, and, as soon as she got south of the border, she talked sh!t about Canada, saying they were "a step away from being Honduras", and "they're lucky we allow them to exist on the same continent."

Timid men prefer the quiet of despotism to the boisterous sea of liberty. We may pay a price for such extreme free speech freedoms but I think by encouraging lively debate its worth it

I know some pretty stupid people , too, and they're nice because they know they're stupid, and just try not to be too much of a nuisance.
The problem with the boxtops and muffies and donuts is that they spend a few hours a day next to their am radio having some con man tell them that they're the smartest people in the world ( as long as they agree with everything the con man says), and that they should be angry,then they get ten times as angry when they come here and find out they're really stupid.
By "find out", I don't mean that they ever realize they're stupid, they just get frustrated that nobody's buying their crap. They're so hypnotized, they think it muse be something wrong with everybody else.
