1. The Founding Fathers were devout Christians who founded America to make the world safe for evangelicalism and theocracy.
2. Jesus supported capitalism at all costs, which is why America is capitalist. It's just God's will.
3. Tax cuts and deregulation have always caused growth in the economy. Just because no one can show a single example of it happening doesn't mean it isn't true.
4. That durned Barack Hussein O-bummer is a fascist, socialist, secret Muslim terrorist who hates real 'muricans and wants to destroy America to make way for the dictatorship of the feminazis and enviro-wackos. It's true. Hannity said so.
5. Everything in America was fine until that progressive FDR got power. That's where it all went to hell
But don't take my word for it. Look it up yourself!

They attack the poor
They attack the homeless
They attack the unemployed
They attack teachers
They attack the sick
And they know how to do it in such a way that enough of the people they attack say "Thank you, sir, may I have another" to keep the illusion of their credibility alive
Of course, this isn't even close to being what really happens in schools that I've been in. Most teachers try to teach to the best of their abilities. They try to educate their students. And it's hard, and you have to really TRY to get your own opinions into something in the classroom.
If schools were so into liberal brainwashing, why are there conservatives out there?
Basically, when they say this, what they REALLY mean, is that schools might be teaching their kids something they don't like, and hence, LIBERAL BRAINWASHING!!!
The point of attacks like these from Gretchen serve ONE purpose only. To make regular people hate the schools, so they will vote for the guys who want to de-fund them, and then award massive contracts to corporate (charter) schools.
Why do we call them "charter" schools anyway? They are corporations with the goal of maximizing profit, period. I'm sure they will hire some good teachers, but ultimately by LAW their first responsibility is to provide return to their investors, not educate the kids.
I propose we start our own Luntz style talking point, only one that is based on being accurate, and call these "corporate schools" or "for-profit schools" from now on.
Haven't you heard?
"Some Say" all the things Gretchen says
//snark (just in case)
It's sickening what I was indoctrinated to believe....
Was the actual piece fair? If MM doesn't post it, I guess we won't know.
Wouldn't it be super cool if there was some kind of machine you could use that had some kind of interwebs type dealie that could take you right to the whole story? Until then, lost in the ether I guess.
Talk to a Foxie today and you will understand..after questioning their sound-bite/headline their answer is Bill Ayers, a birther statement or libs are brainwashed. It is sadly funny.

Why dont you go find a crackwhore and pay her to give you lessons in dignity and self respect?
boxorox, was that a question?
If it was, the answer is I have better things to do than be constantly lied to.
First off, Boxy, watching FOX clearly affects your ability to differentiate between declarative and interrogative sentences.
Secondly, and more importantly, watching FOX makes thinking peoples' eyes bleed.

My guess is you will never know period. I bet you are a brainwashed Limborg moron. Is it your contention that they need to post the entire program to give it context? Were you BORN a moron or did you work at it? Did you grow up thinking you couldnt WAIT to have rightwing screechmonkeys do your thinking for you?
And after five years they'll each get a brush.
To avoid brainwashing, Gretchy sends her two kids to Greenwich Country Day School where they can learn from non-union (but very well paid) teachers which silver fork to use when eating quiche.
Beyond getting overstimulated and under-parented kids to pay attention long enough to teach them the basics of math, science, and literature in a world with hundreds of channels of video on demand, personal hand-held internet and phone devices, and realistic 1080i multi-player combat death-matches on Xbox and Ps3, these teachers are taking all that extra time to "brainwash" the kids.
I'm sure in between dealing with oversized classrooms full of legions of hyperactive kids with no concept of parentally or socially imposed boundaries, they can get all that intense brainwashing done.
Or maybe Gretchen is just a tool paid to "brainwash" regular people into voting for the people who want to dismantle education and replace it with corporate schools contracts.
Does gRetchin' Carlsen hate her viewers?
Is there a direct equivalent between the dollars Fox pays her and the number of people she convinces to vote against their best interests?
Does she feel freer, lighter somehow, walking around without a soul?
Do her children know their mommy tells lies for a living?
I'm just wondering, is all.
Not sure where Gretchen received her education, but factfromassing does not equal "proof."

UTOPIA
See phrase your unfounded belief as a question. That way you don't need to present facts. it is in the same category as "some say ..".
