I think that everyone would be happier if he just climbed the nearest water tower (I realize that he couldn't climb a flight of stairs but stick with me.) and just screamed ni99er! until he passed out and fell off.

I think he just did or rather the same as. And of course we ahve this guy who has conducted his own life like a gutter snipe and that is his business. But since he chose to attack Obama, attacking his attack is fair game and the poor thing should have just quit before he ever opened his big mouth. He seems to not understand the first ideal of our party and that is that one needs some smidgeon of moral authority before attacking someone else. Unfortunately for the serial wife swapper and his lack of self control ie his humongous weight and serial wives, he has little room to lecture others. He has opened himself up to this sort of treatment by his incessant judgmental complaints about our President. Poor thing seems obsessed with the Obama brilliance and feels the need to TRY to knock him out. But poor thing just keeps flunking and flunking on it. What an embarrassment to our party! I guess she forgets that Lincoln was actually a Republican!

They've been pushing the crony capitalist thing the past few days. It's not like lucrative contracts are going to some corporation he headed and still receives benefit from unlike he who shall remain unnamed and Halliburton. Has Univ. Chicago Law secretly gone for-profit and now rolling in dough? It would seem even Michelle's efforts are the opposite of what TreeHouse Foods would want (pickles are pretty high salt).

The President can be a crony capitalist and a communist at the same time.

Just like he can be a Muslim, a bad Christian, and an athiest at the same time.

Seriously - I really can't understand how people can listen to this day after day. Someone needs to do a study to find out just how many brain cells die after being exposed to this.

You beat me to it. "Crony Capitalist" is at least a Capitalist.

Of course, this is all rank projection- the last two Republican presidents were the son and grandson of a US Senator with business connections, and the likely GOP nominee this year is the son of the President of GM and Michigan's Governor. Limbaugh himself is the son of a Federal Judge who knew how to pull strings for his son. These guys don't need to be talking about "Cronyism," thank you very much.

"I didn't inherit my wealth from my father."

This may be the work of Frank Luntz, or some other political handler. Romneybot was already wealthy when his Father died, so this statement is a meaningless dodge.

Apparently, they'd like us to believe that Romneybot did not benefit from his father's business and political connections. Yeah, right.

I seriously doubt that Romneybot pulled himself up by his magic bootstraps.

It is doubtful that Romney paid his way through Harvard, and that being said I don't know too many Harvard grads who are suffering in the wallet. I have heard that Mittens put daddy's money in a trust for his kids - a way to dodge paying taxes, and another good chunk went to the Mormon Church.

I have a question, how did Romney's dad run for office when he was not a citizen of these here united states?

I am certain his mother was an American citizen and I do not think the Constitution required natural born citizen (ie born on US soul.) but I am not that certain,. I think only the rules of citizenship are applied. I am certain he will be thoroughly vetted if he does run. The rules are very clear. Technically he is only saying he is running and does not need clearance to do that. I am still certain our party will do so, though or have done so already.

No, I'm talking about Romney's dad who was born in Mexico. He ran for office in 1968 before falling victim to a major verbal gaffe.

Mitt ( and everybody else) sort of got overshadowed by newt's opening hissy fit, but he did have some unintentionally hilarious lines.

I liked the one where he accused the president of dividing America into the 1% and 99%, insisting that there's only one United States of America.

Which is pretty easy to say when you're born into the 1% and have been there your entire life.

Never mind that he's spent most of that life trying to widen that divide, it's Obama's fault for mentioning it. This seems to be a Republican trend, it's not the bad people who are bad, it's the people who notice they're bad.

People who notice racism are the real racists.

And when "the media" asks if you'd like to address a story about your sleazy personal life, they're despicable and appalling.

Lispy does seem to be filling space on his show with more stuttering, fake laughing and weird grunting noises lately. He must be running low on material.

As a fan of the defective dentures, you would have loved a bit of his show I heard today. He was reading an item about the increasing age of vehicles on the road, that people are putting off buying cars as soon because of the economy ( Thanks a lot, Obama !), and of course he had to dumb it down and explain to his audience why people liked to get new vehicles every few years.

It was when he tried to say " significant stylistic changes" that I thought it had started raining out.

Let's see if you can argue your point. I have a couple of questions for you:

          1) Do you agree with the Pentagon that domestic energy production is a national security issue? Because the DoD is investing a great deal of money into renewables, and has done so since BEFORE President Obama took office.

          2) Do you agree that fossil fuels will someday run out, which would leave our infrastructure crippled if we do not have sufficient alternative energy production? Because much of the demand for the government to invest in renewable energy infrastructure is coming from the tech sector, which is concerned that their industry would be rendered obsolete by inadequate power production.

          3) Do you agree that the exhaust from burning fossil fuels is a pollutant that causes hundreds of thousands of premature deaths in America every single year? Because the National Lung Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association, and dozens of other national medical groups have been issuing studies for decades tying car and power plant exhaust to the rist of heart disease, asthma, lung cancer, and even obesity in America's large cities to smog.

Even if we were to take the global warming issue off the table, there are compelling reasons why this nation's Federal government would invest and invest heavily into renewable power generation. This is one of the big things that government is supposed to do, spurring growth in new industries that both serve the General Welfare by ameliorating societal ills, and offer the potential for propelling job growth into the future.

Oh, and by the way, there is no evidence tying the Obama Administration to those loans. In fact, DoE personnel responsible for final approval of them have stated unequivocally that they were never pressured to grant loan guarantees to Solyndra or any other company. Couple that with the fact that Solyndra was originally fast-tracked for loan guarantees by the Bush Administration DoE, and, well, you sure look foolish, now don't you.

I responded to Magnolialover's challenge to cite ONE example of President Obama's crony capitalism. Your questions have nothing to do with my examples' direct links to V.P. Biden and former National Economic Council Director, Lawrence Summers, and campaign contributions to President Obama, Harry Reid, and others. And, how can you say there is no evidence tying the Obama Administration to these loans, when the Department of Energy IS A DEPARTMENT of the Obama Administration? It doesn't matter that there is no evidence of pressure to grant these loans. The corruption was borne in creating departments of people whose employment is dependent upon the re-election of the person they are working for, to keep their overpaid, taxpayer-funded job. No, Obama didn't create this system, but he sure ran on "changing business as usual in Washington". I'm not saying he pressured anyone into anything, but if he meant what he said throughout his campaign, he certainly could have followed through and created an atmosphere within his administration to prevent this type of corruption and waste.

Um, you gave an invalid example, which is why you were taken to task. And the assertion of corruption based upon the existence of the Department of Energy, not their comportment, but the fact that they exist at all, is infantile.

Furthermore, you have yet to present any evidence that there was any kind of irregularity in the grant of Federal loan guarantees to Solyndra or any other renewable energy producer. Several solar industry company CEOs have come forward to claim that Solyndra went out of business BECAUSE of solar power's success, as their business model depended upon solar being expensive. Since the price of solar has dropped to a quarter of its cost in 2008, Solyndra found their system being undercut by cheap Chinese systems. See, these are facts, not vague generalizations or innuendo, but verifiable facts. Why don't you try it?

Solyndra found their system being undercut by cheap Chinese systems." You're defending part of Solyndra's defense to the FBI's investigation of possible accounting fraud to obtain the loan. Regardless of the outcome of the investigation, Chiu, Spinner, and Mitchell are all Obama cronies directly involved in Solyndra obtaining the government loan.

Did you all see the report that GM sold the MOST vehicles in the world last year? And their profits are doing very well thank you very much.

GM has re-claimed the title of largest car company in the world, at least in sales. And remember, I think it was Limbaugh and many others who said the Government should just let GM fail.

I wonder what they'd say now that after a couple of years, GM has emerged from bankruptcy stronger than ever.

I'm assuming this latest bit of absurd hyperbole was inspired by Newt's closing rant.

I nearly fell on the floor laughing he called Obama "the most dangerous President in modern American history". I guess Newt forgot that the last guy invaded the wrong country.

Rush is having the same problem Beck made for himself: he's hit the slander ceiling. He's exhausted very avenue of attack, maxed out every adjective. With every ugly thing imaginable already said, Rush has no choice but to repeat himself.

Oops forgot, there's always the N word.

The Republicans have painted themselves into a hyperbolic corner. To keep their idiot base turning out at the polls, they have to portray Democrats as a dire threat to everything they cherish. It's not enough anymore to simply offer a contrasting point of view; they have to thoroughly demonize the opposition. Then, they have the audacity to accuse Obama of "dividing the country".

        They have no shame.

It is "dangerous" to want the super-rich to pay their fair share of the taxes.

It is NOT "dangerous" to invade another country based on a lie.

It is "dangerous" to want all Americans to have health insurance so they can see a doctor when they get sick.

It is NOT "dangerous" to pound fistfuls of painkillers down your throat until you go deaf.

      There is a pattern here...

They figured that one wouldn't stick on Barack Obama, so they tried putting the label on Michelle Obama. But, being the "angry woman" that she is, she pushed back on it. Doesn't seem to have bothered the majority of people, who see her as one of the most admirable people in the US.
