      I don't know if MMfA or Rush got it wrong, but just for the record, it was Rand Paul who was detained.

        Rusty says it was Rand Paul who was detained, but then goes on to say that if it had been Ron Paul, you could't blame the TSA. Then something weird happens that I can't explain.

        Actually, he didn't get the details right. Rand Paul wasn't detained. He was simply not allowed to enter the secure area of the airport when he refused to follow TSA guidelines.

          What do you expect from an entitled freak like Rand Paul? He wrote his own rules to get "accreditation" as an eye doctor in Ky.,too,as I recall. I wouldn't let him within 10 miles of MY eyes,for sure.

      Yeah right Limbaugh. The TSA "detains" people because of how they "sound."

      While I realize this was Limbaugh's attempt at jockularity for his simpleton audience, I'd bet my last nickel Limbaugh couldn't correctly articulate the purpose or function of any government entity. He doesn't get it, so the predictable response for Limbaugh is to dump on it, or bet yet concoct an alternate reality to fool the gullible. Basically, that summarizes the mindset of today's "conservatives." "I can't understand it, so it must be bad." Willful ignorance self-excused.

      Rand Paul wasn't detained. He was simply prevented from entering into the secure area of the airport because he refused to be patted down after he set off the metal detector. He rebooked his flight and after a layover (and the removal of whatever he had on his right leg that set off the alarms), continued on his trip.

        but saying he was detained makes it sound much more juicier. Seriously, why did he have to cause so much trouble? The TSA screeners are just doing their jobs and I am sure they didn't even know who the know-nothing senator from KY was....
