Trotta: At Fox, "we don't have an agenda." Sure, Liz. And a leopard doesn't have spots.

Trotta began her career in 1965 as a reporter for NBC in Viet Nam. She even traveled to Laos during the war. She was one of the first, if not the first, female TV correspndents to report on the ground and I'm old enough to remember her news stories from Viet Nam.

What happened to you, Liz? What ever happened to you?

For whatever reason, she needed to go to Fox and Fox decided to keep her, despite the fact that she isn't young, leggy, and bleached blonde. She is probably willing to say any old thing just to stay employed in a business that is not kind to older women.

It probably takes a heap of jealousy from our party for anyone to make an ignorant statement like this woman just did. Personally, I am very grateful that Obama was able to develop this rescue and then for him to see his plans come out so well for our country. Amazing actions both in the rescue and the offing of that operative that has dogged us for such a long time. Kudos to you. Mr. President. You do not belong to my party, but if anything happens to my grandchildren in the military, I shall be forever grateful that you already had such success on this well planned raid. You did very WELL!

They really have crossed that line into "say absolutely anything" territory.

Now we call the president a coward for ordering the death of the world's most notorious terrorist mastermind who orchestrated the most deadly terror attack on American soil?

Did they expect the President to suit up and storm the Bin Laden compound personally? Would he not have Seal Team 6 to "hide behind" if he hadn't ordered the terror mastermind be taken out? Is she advocating that we shouldn't have killed Bin Laden?

How does this even make sense!?!?!

This is more madness from Fox.

It is interesting. I have been reading comments on HuffPost stories about Sen. Mark Kirk's stroke. I haven't seen a lot of people making insensitive comments. There have been some, but most of the comments were appropriately rebuked. Quite frankly, I despise the clown and will volunteer for anyone who runs against him, but it never occurred to me that I should be celebrating his misfortune.

Which is one of the major differences between libruls and real 'murkins. Of course the wingnut style of argument would be to ignore the message of your sentence, quote the first six words, and use it as evidence that we're full of hate.

That was all and no one seemed to notice the exchange let alone even conjecture what it meant. After President Obama returned to the White House he rang the family of Jessica Buchanan and gave the good news to her father. Only after this was the public informed.

Last week (Assuming we had actionable intelligence and could get the assets in place in time)? - Oh Obama is trying to upstage the Republicans in the SC primary! How about next week (assuming the pirates do us the courtesy of not moving or harming the hostages in the meantime)? - Oh Obama is trying to upstage the Republicans in an election year or the next primary. Take your pick. I am pretty certain that there is absolutely no time you could pick that could not be shoe-horned into some current silly, little, right-wing, political narrative.

          Precisely.

And I was struck by the fact that, instead of inserting the news into the SOTUS, the President, immediately after finishing, went to a phone and called Ms. Buchanan's parents with the news, himself. I don't think that's the way Cheneybush would have handled it.

Now there are those who will say that all this was stage managed for effect, or that Obama was being self-indulgent in delivering the news himself and basking in the parents gratitude. My response to both points is, that's probably got some truth to it. So what? The President had the guts to ok a mission that could well have been disastrous, on the day of the SOTUS. Do you think he was unaware of what Desert 1 did to Jimmy Carter's re-election hopes? He has every right to the credit, and he'd be a fool not to manage the atmospherics.

The Troglodytes really resent this, because they laughed at John Kerry and other Democrats who proposed dealing with terrorists with surgical strikes. They much preferred the Bush/Cheney Swatting-Flies-with-a-Sledgehammer approach, since it enriches their cronies in the Defense Industry.

They also got a lot of mileage out of the Blackhawk Down incident, using it to paint Democrats as militarily inept. Obama has taken that bat out of their hands.

That must be one of the most idiotic and callous comments I've ever heard. Getting Osama bin Laden and rescuing a kidnapped American is just a political ploy? Perhaps it's a political ploy Dubya should have tried instead of raising the terror alert level everytime he had a dip in the polls. OMG!!

Liz Trotta, you are the very epitome of all that The Fox Noise Circus & Freakshow is about.
You should be on the shows, talking. every.single.day.

TROTTA: Well, I mean, it was...i.... it ...it,... was so bad, it was really pitif__..
.. you have to be sorry for his speech writers and,
ya know, one also wonders...I mean because they have...they're so bold in their ignorance.
How many times is he going to use SEAL team 6 to get out of trouble?
      ..
      I'm serious!

      ...

FOX News Contributor, JOE TRIPPI:... We can all agree SEAL team 6 is beyond partisan politics.

      ....
TROTTA: Well, they're now becoming political operatives. I don't trust this guy at all.

Didn't this old bat work for every other media outlet ON EARTH before she blew Ailes for some work? Geeezzzz.... Absolutely not a single clue where she is, what she's suppose to do, how to get home, or why she may need to go quickly....

In August of the year bin Laden was captured and killed, the Taliban successfully waged an ambush on a military helicopter killing over 30 people, including 22 members of Seal Team Six. It is assumed this attack was carried out as retribution for bin Laden. Presumably this incident made Trotta feel good, but it's a mystery why this incident is never referenced by wing nuts who minimize the exploits of Seal Team Six. Since she hates Obama and takes the most cynical view imaginable about his leadership of the Marines as CIC, that horrendous attack and loss of life must have really brought out the fist bumps at the Trotta household. Don't be a shrinking violet, Liz, this is America. You can tell us what you REALLY think...
