It's definitely a different world we're living in when a morning show host gets so excited anticipating getting Santorum on his couch...

(can't believe I got to write that first)

I suppose that, after Uncle Newt embarrassed himself last night, the Troglodytes will try to revive Rick Man-Dog's candidacy. Good luck with that, boys; Romneybot has had a RAM upgrade, and the Country Clubbers have proven that they're willing to take down anyone who threatens his coronation. Resistance is futile.

I didn't actually see the debate, but I've seen clips. Apparently, Romneybot's new debate coach told him to be more aggressive, and he didn't let Newt bully him. Uncle Newt seemed unprepared for Romneybot 2.0, and his Red Meat applause lines fell flat.

The worst moment for Newt, that I've seen, was when Romneybot made fun of his plan to build a Lunar Colony.

          Bad night for Uncle Newt.

By the way, where is the Masterful Debater that we were all told the Georgian Historian would trounce his opponents with? So far, I've seen a puffed up windbag with a handful of catch phrases that fall flat. He whales away on Saul Alinsky, who is, and a good thing for Newt, dead, and therefore unable to defend himself. Kind of like Mitt. From what I understand, the late Mr. Alinsky would have liked nothing more than a debate with the likes of Gingrich. He loved exploding blowhards in their own verbal excrement, and despised bullies. This has been a great year- Glenn Beck sinks back into the swamp he crawled out of, and now Newt is about to self-immolate,and burn down the GOP in the resulting blaze! Could Rush be far behind?

I can see why Dooc would get kind of starry eyed with Santorum coming on the program. Santorum is so cool and hip, he has a kind of Sinatra-esque charisma...*snicker*...I couldn't even get through typing this with a straight face. Dooc, you're an idiot.

just to get it out of the way, leet me just say that santorum is a nut on most of his views. but i have to say, he did an awesome job last night of pointing out that romney did in NH exactly what obama's health care plan does for the USA. and he set romney up awesomely. now i like the health care plan passed by this administration as a good start, but what santorum showed was that if willard becomes the nominee the health care issue will likely disappear. much to the dismay of the tea partiers.
      just my thought.

It probably wasn't a good idea for Romney, while debating healthcare reform, to say "It's not worth getting angry about" in front of an audience that is very angry about healthcare reform.

I think Romneybot's operators didn't prepare him for Santorum when they uploaded the Anti-Newt Firewall; I guess they thought Rick Man-Dog was finished. As a result, Santorum was able to get past his defenses and get in a couple of good shots.

Ole Frothy Mix also has this bizarre obsession with Cuba and how they're becoming a missle site for radical jihadists. Also applying the "creeping Sharia" meme to central and South America.

It's just a laughably poor excuse to conflate Obama, Castro and Chavez (which he's done at least twice). They all play poker on Fridays or is Rickie pulling a lie out of his lily white rear? White republican Jesus doesn't like liars.

I voted for Santorum in the primary. Why? He doesn't seem willing to quit and I want the GOP primary season drawn out as long as possible. Gingrich's ego is too big and Romney believes he is the destined front runner. I figured a vote for Santorum will keep a little crazy in the debates (especially since Bachmann is gone) and that will only help Obama come the general election.

I think it would be hilarious if Santorum won the nom but he won't. I saw a little clip from last night in which he he was say "they" (not sure if he meant the press or the other candidates) needed to stop harping on Romney's wealth because he earned it from hard work and they should stick to the issues. It struck me as a calculated move to ape Newt's berating the moderator in another debate. BTW in case Frothy doesn't know Romney was born rich and hasn't actually worked for years.

Meh, that's nothin' -- Newton Leroy got voted out of being third in line in Presidential Secession by his own party.

And, somehow, the GOP actually thinks we're stupid enough to buy either of them for the nation's highest elective office.

Who do they think we are -- Sarah Palin?

And Santorum loves his Mom! What other reason to vote for a Presidential candidate could you possibly ask for?

I love the way Doocy jumps up off the coach and the camera can't keep up with him so his head is cut off.

Some time back, a poster here on MM4A said he was signing off to go take a Doocy. That sums it up for me...

Santorum will never join these clowns on their couch because "He stands up for the values that he knows are true." One of the values he knows to be True: You only sit on a couch with your wife.

Once again Rich demonstrates how much of a gag it is being one of his followers or sponsors.

a spectacular example of modern santorum art (think p!ss jesus and such)

is that santorum in your pocket or are you just leaking because of how spectacular that santorum feels?

Doocy: "Mr. Spectacular, Rick Santorum, Is Going To Be With Us Live"

And yet, just two days ago, the curvy couch was talking about Mitch Daniels, of whom Chrissy Wallace declared, "a star is born."

Strange -- the notion of President Obama being a "rock star" is always viewed negatively; wonder what's different about Santorum . . .
