Responding to Joe Scarborough's criticisms of Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) in a CNBC interview, CNBC chief Washington correspondent John Harwood said: "Are we now at a point where we're taking the tenor of exchanges with cable anchors as evidence of temperament, as evidence of a politician's temperament? I don't know, I think that's a - I think that's a pretty rough standard ... I think Barney Frank was provoked."
