Activism Alert: Barnes & Noble and Borders to host Swift Boat Vets bigot Jerome Corsi

August 27, 2004 1:20 pm ET

On Saturday, August 28, booksellers Barnes & Noble and Borders will host appearances by Jerome R. Corsi, co-author with John E. O'Neill of Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry, in the Akron, Ohio, area.

Corsi is scheduled to appear at 11 a.m. at Barnes & Noble in the Montrose area and at 3 p.m. at Borders in Jackson Township.

On August 6, Media Matters for America unearthed Corsi's history of bigoted and hateful comments posted to the right-wing website FreeRepublic.com:

On August 20, MMFA sent a letter to Barnes & Noble, Borders, and Wal-Mart, asking them to review their policies with respect to promoting a fraudulent and discredited book.

Make your voice heard and become part of the fight to stop conservative misinformation. Contact Borders and Barnes & Noble and urge them to reconsider hosting Jerome Corsi.
