The soft bigotry of low expectations: ABC's Halperin on Bush

ABC News political director Mark Halperin during ABC's September 30 post-debate coverage:

HALPERIN: For the president, though, what a big difference from four years ago. When foreign policy would come up and a name of a foreign leader would come off his tongue, everyone would kind of brace themselves. Tonight, he used that as his calling card. Bragging about all the foreign leaders he deals with, all the names he knows. Quite a difference. That's his strong suit.
