Media repeated Libby lawyer's falsehood that Woodward revelations contradict Fitzgerald

Libby attorney Ted Wells stated that, in his announcement of Libby's indictment for perjury, obstruction of justice, and false statements, Fitzgerald asserted that Libby “was the first government official to tell a reporter” about Plame -- a statement now proven by Woodwards' disclosure to be “totally inaccurate,” according to Wells. In fact Fitzgerald said that Libby was the first known official to leak the information. Numerous media have either repeated Wells's assertion as true, or reported it without correcting it.
