Olbermann awarded Worst Person honors to O'Reilly for opining that NBC has inroads of a "far-left cabal" but Fox is not "a right wing enterprise"
SUMMARY: On the May 1 edition of MSNBC's Countdown, host Keith Olbermann once again named Fox News' Bill O'Reilly the winner of his nightly "Worst Person in the World" award for comments made during the April 26 edition of his radio show, in which he accused a "far-left cabal" of making "inroads, particularly at NBC News" and claiming that "no newsperson at Fox News toes any kind of ideological line at all."
On the May 1 edition of MSNBC's Countdown, host Keith Olbermann once again named Fox News' Bill O'Reilly the winner of his nightly "Worst Person in the World" award. O'Reilly received the award for comments made during the April 26 edition of his nationally syndicated radio show, in which he accused a "far-left cabal" of making "inroads, particularly at NBC News," as Media Matters for America previously noted. O'Reilly added, "[N]o newsperson at Fox News toes any kind of ideological line at all." As Media Matters also noted, many Fox News "newsperson[s]" such as Neil Cavuto and Brit Hume, whose purported straight-news shows -- Your World with Neil Cavuto and Special Report with Brit Hume -- all contain a segment or panel discussion featuring the host's often conservative commentary.
O'Reilly, who is a frequent recipient of Olbermann's "Worst Person in the World" award, most recently receiving it on April 26, after he established a "Hall of Shame" on his website for media outlets that purportedly "smear" him.

OLBERMANN: First, time for Countdown's latest list of nominees for Worst Person in the World. The bronze goes to the Cablevision company serving Yonkers, New York. It hit a 62-year-old retired schoolteacher with a bill for $1,431 for pay-per-view porn and gangsta rap specials. It says that if she didn't order it, somebody else in her house did. She points out she lives alone. Her only regular visitor is her 81-year-old mother and, quote, "I don't think she wants to watch porn."
Runners-up: Ronald Arnold and Ryan Dawson of Wilsonville, Missouri, accused by prosecutors there of force-feeding a bowl of vodka to an eight-week-old puppy. The dog has recovered. Hopefully they have not.
But our winner: Bill O, announcing that there is, quote, "a very powerful far-left cabal. ... And these guys have made inroads, inroads, particularly at NBC News." Ah, here we go. He also insisted Fox News is not "a right-wing enterprise," and then declared his conviction that he also believes in brownies and elves. Bill O'Reilly, now and forever, today's Worst Person in the World.
I am speechless. How far does your head have to be up your own backside BOR? Please pull it out and get some fresh air, if not for yourself, for your viewers who listen to your spew. Maybe as you pull yourself back to reality from the methane induced haze, you are obiviously in, you can apologize to everyone for your career on Fox and quit with a shred of dignity. Naw, you'll gut in out until your arrested like Rush.
Fox, just admit your bias. It's not like anyone's not aware of it.
Get over this Olbermann fascination already. The spat between O'Reilly and Olbermann is nothing but theatrics designed to drive up ratings for both shows. What would be of interest is Olbermann giving Chris Matthews the award, but that will never happen. I guess Olbermann wasn't too crazy about Colbert's performance at the WH correspondents dinner either. BTW I think Colbert's routine was a masterwork of performance art that really exposed the powerful elite media. You think Olbermann's for real? He might be a good guy, but MSNBC will never really let him out of the box.

Also Colbert's performance was exactly what those media types needed - they needed it "rubbed" in their faces about the job they've done with their coverage of this administration. Was Clinton sooo bad? Were there internal memos sent to the majority of the media demanding W get a free pass?
. . . but I find it refreshing they expose the outragious things that O'Reilly tries to pass off as facts. BO is one who never let the facts get in the way of his opinions, and I for one love it when he's slapped down a notch or two. The real truth is that the Repubs can't maintain power much longer because everyone is seeing what they really stand for, so their only option is to BS and complain about the left and Democrats. What does surprise me is that it took so long for someone of notoriety--like Olberman-- to come along and start calling them on their bluffs.
