What would it take?

Glenn Beck, a Philadelphia-based radio host, was recently hired by CNN to host a show on CNN Headline News. Beck has a history of making outrageous and hateful statements. For example, he said that illegal immigrants are either "terrorists," outlaws, or people who "can't make a living in their own dirtbag country."

Despite this and other hateful statements, Beck will be hosting a show on CNN. This begs the question: What would he have to say for CNN to cancel his contract?

Some possibilities:

  • Saying "Indians will have found something that can be more profitable than casinos, and that's abortion clinics. And then, look out, man -- exploiting everything illegal for profit." (Nope -- he said that on April 4, 2006.)
  • Calling Cindy Sheehan "a pretty big prostitute" but later agreeing that "tragedy pimp" would be a more accurate term for Sheehan. (Nope -- he said that on January 10, 2006.)
  • Saying that Jimmy Carter is a waste of skin. (Nope -- he said that on February 9, 2006.)

Glenn Beck, with his history of hateful and outrageous comments, shouldn't be on CNN.

Please write CNN by clicking here and let it know you are profoundly disappointed with its decision to hire a right-wing bigot, and urge it to cancel his contract.
