Media Matters for America has identified numerous instances of conservative misinformation about the CIA leak case, former CIA operative Valerie Plame, former Ambassador Joseph C. Wilson IV, and Wilson's mission to Niger. In the wake of the guilty verdict in the trial of former vice presidential chief of staff I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, Media Matters presents a "dishonor" roll of media figures and outlets that have distinguished themselves with their flawed coverage of the case:

      Have to disagree about Matthews

MMFA posted a story from Oct 2005. Somehow Matthews has changed his tune, talked about it almost daily , covered it while not many other MSM outlets did. He was the one pushing the case in the media.

        Hi D

It was posted in 2005, but it's talking about numerous instances with multiple guests.

If he changed his tune since that time then great, but it doesn't change the fact that he allowed misinformation to be spread on his show when this story was just unfolding (most critical time period)

WRONG!!!! Matthews has apologized for this administration so many times it's a joke, he belongs on the list right alongside the other clowns.
