Claiming he never attacked the Frosts, Limbaugh mimicked Graeme Frost and attacked Dems for "exploiting" family

SUMMARY: Discussing Graeme Frost and his family on Hannity & Colmes, Rush Limbaugh claimed, "I never once attacked this family. I attacked the Democrats for exploiting them. I attacked the Democrats for putting lies into the head of a 12-year-old -- a 12-year-old they send out before microphones and cameras to sit there and say," and mimicking Graeme's voice, continued, " 'I only want health care for the rest of American children like I got, and George Bush is against it.' The 12-year-old can't write that garbage!"

On the October 18 edition of Fox News' Hannity & Colmes, while discussing Graeme Frost, the 12-year-old who delivered a Democratic radio address criticizing President Bush's veto of a bill to expand the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), co-host Alan Colmes told guest Rush Limbaugh: "You feel you were attacked by certain people. You claim that liberals as a whole lie and can't defend themselves. I debate conservatives every night. But you have attacked people like the family, for example, of Graeme Frost ... using the words of somebody from the Free Republic. Should this family be the victim of barbs from anybody because they're trying to do best for their kid?" As Think Progress noted, Limbaugh responded: "You know, Alan, that's an interesting question. I never once attacked this family. I attacked the Democrats for exploiting them. I attacked the Democrats for putting lies into the head of a 12-year-old -- a 12-year-old they send out before microphones and cameras to sit there and say," and mimicking Frost's voice, continued, " 'I only want health care for the rest of American children like I got, and George Bush is against it.' The 12-year-old can't write that garbage!"

The Frost family relied on SCHIP to pay for the treatment of injuries Graeme and his sister Gemma suffered in a car accident in 2004. In an October 6 post on the Free Republic website titled, "The 'Not So Poor' 12 Year Old Who Rebutted Bush on SCHIP Veto," user "icwhatudo" disclosed that Graeme "is a middle school student at the exclusive $20,000 per year Park School," and that "Gemma ... attended the same school prior to the accident. " The post went on to include additional details about the family's finances. As Media Matters for America documented, following Graeme's radio address, conservative bloggers aimed several attacks at his family, from questioning their financial status to referring to Graeme's parents as "mostly spoiled brats who became parents and never felt compelled to take responsibility for themselves." Other media outlets then echoed or cited the bloggers' attacks. For example, on the October 10 edition of his nationally syndicated radio show, Limbaugh said that the Frosts "can clearly afford [health insurance]. They just choose not to." During a report on the October 11 edition of CNN's American Morning, as the blog Think Progress noted, anchor John Roberts said of the controversy: "Conservative bloggers like Michelle Malkin pounced, claiming the Frost family is a fraud, too wealthy for government assistance. One accusation: that Graeme attends a $20,000-a-year private school. The family insists scholarships cover most of that bill." He added: "Some of the accusations may be exaggerated or false, but did the Democrats make a tactical error in holding up Graeme as their poster child?"

On Hannity & Colmes, Limbaugh also asserted: "The fact of the matter is, Graeme Frost was covered and got the health care -- he and his sister both got the health care they needed under the current circumstances of the program. The Democrats sent those two little kids out there to make the American people think that they would not get covered because Bush didn't want to expand the program." In fact, Graeme did not suggest anywhere in his address that he and Gemma "would not get covered because Bush didn't want to expand the program." Rather, as Limbaugh noted earlier, Graeme specifically stated that he and his sister "got the help we needed because we had health insurance for us through the CHIP program," adding, "But there are millions of kids out there who don't have CHIP, and they wouldn't get the care that my sister and I did if they got hurt." From Graeme's September 29 address:

Hi, my name is Graeme Frost. I'm 12 years old and I live in Baltimore, Maryland. Most kids my age probably haven't heard of CHIP, the Children's Health Insurance Program. But I know all about it, because if it weren't for CHIP, I might not be here today.

CHIP is a law the government made to help families like mine afford healthcare for their kids. Three years ago, my family was in a really bad car accident. My younger sister Gemma and I were both hurt. I was in a coma for a week and couldn't eat or stand up or even talk at first. My sister was even worse. I was in the hospital for five-and-a-half months and I needed a big surgery. For a long time after that, I had to go to physical therapy after school to get stronger. But even though I was hurt badly, I was really lucky. My sister and I both were.

My parents work really hard and always make sure my sister and I have everything we need, but the hospital bills were huge. We got the help we needed because we had health insurance for us through the CHIP program.

But there are millions of kids out there who don't have CHIP, and they wouldn't get the care that my sister and I did if they got hurt. Their parents might have to sell their cars or their houses, or they might not be able to pay for hospital bills at all.

Now I'm back to school. One of my vocal chords is paralyzed so I don't talk the same way I used to. And I can't walk or run as fast as I did. The doctors say I can't play football any more, but I might still be able to be a coach. I'm just happy to be back with my friends.

I don't know why President Bush wants to stop kids who really need help from getting CHIP. All I know is I have some really good doctors. They took great care of me when I was sick, and I'm glad I could see them because of the Children's Health Program.

I just hope the President will listen to my story and help other kids to be as lucky as me. This is Graeme Frost, and this has been the Weekly Democratic Radio address. Thanks for listening.

From the October 18 edition of Fox News' Hannity & Colmes:

COLMES: Hey, Rush, it's Alan once again. You feel you were attacked by certain people. You claim that liberals as a whole lie and can't defend themselves. I debate conservatives every night. But you have attacked people like the family, for example, of Graeme Frost, and quoting -- using the words of somebody who posted on the Free Republic. Should this family be the victim of barbs from anybody because they're trying to do best for their kid?

LIMBAUGH: You know, Alan, that's an interesting question. I never once attacked this family. I attacked the Democrats for exploiting them. I attacked the Democrats for putting lies into the head of a 12-year-old -- a 12-year-old they send out before microphones and cameras to sit there and say, "I only want health care for the rest of American children like I got, and George Bush is against it." The 12-year-old can't write that garbage!

The fact of the matter is, Graeme Frost was covered and got the health care -- he and his sister both got the health care they needed under the current circumstances of the program. The Democrats sent those two little kids out there to make the American people think that they would not get covered because Bush didn't want to expand the program.

The Democrats are amazingly brazen in this at using kids, using seasoned citizens. I never attacked this family. I simply reported what their financial circumstances are. I actually feel sorry for them to be used.

This is another thing. If you would turn on my radio show and listen to me, you would know I never once attacked -- I would not attack a 12-year-old kid. I feel sorry for the fact that the kid is having words put in his mouth. He's sent out before the whole country to lie, when he can't know any better, because he's 12 years old, simply to advance another lie that the Democrats want to put forth, because the SCHIP program is nothing more than a stealth attempt to get socialized medicine inculcated over as much of America as possible.

You can't tell me that children are 25 years and younger. You can't tell me that a family of four making 82 grand is poverty-stricken -- and that's what this program would have done. It is obscene.

HANNITY: Hey, Rush, Sean -- last question. I'd be negligent if I didn't ask you. I remember a while back, Matt Drudge on his website had up there, "Limbaugh: 80 percent chance Hillary becomes the next president." Do you -- assess the presidential election in the short time we have left, and do you really think she has that good a chance of winning?

Limbaugh in that segment is "not mocking" Frost in the same way that he did not mock Michael J Fox by spasmodically waving his arms around on camera. Who should his viewers believe, Rush or their own lying eyes/ears?

Rush  said he never once attacked the Frost family?

Telling his viewers that the Frost boy whined and moaned and cried to President Bush is not a personal attack on the charactor of this boy???

Isn't it an attack on the family to give listeners false information about the value of their home and schooling, and refer his listeners to "verified" information on Free Republic" Is it not an attack to help spread false rumors about the family?

Here is part of his transcript from his Oct. 8th show.

" RUSH: I had some rudimentary information on this two weeks ago, and it wasn't enough for me to trust going with.  But since then, it has been verified, and most of it's been verified by a "Freeper" at Free Republic.  Everybody is writing about this now, since the Freeper posted it over the weekend.  This 12-year-old kid that the Democrats used in the Saturday radio address to whine and moan and cry to President Bush about the SCHIP children's health program, it turns out that the family of this kid sends its kids to "one of Baltimore's expensive private schools."  This family owns a house in a neighborhood of homes valued in the $400,000 to $500,000 range.  This family bought commercial property in 1999 for $160,000.  [...] "

He's saying that the Democrats made the boy do this to further there own agenda. Rush is simply saying that the Dems have used this young boy to further their agenda. It's clear from past history that the Democrats like to use sympathetic figures to further their agenda. Rather than debating the actual issue they try to appeal to people's emotions by blatantly using sympathetic figures for their own political gain. It's sick what the Democrats are doing.

So you are upset the Democrats put him up to this.....Here Rush is going after the boy by saying the boy whined, moaned, and cried, and then mimics his voice.

Oh, how brave of Rush....can't take on the Democrats, so he goes after a child. Typical.

This has really gotten out of hand.  Limbaugh never mocked or attacked this kid.

You'll note, by the way, that the media never listens to real kids when it comes to health care.  Instead, they listen to kids like this one -- the phony kids.

A real kid would be proud to earn his own health coverage.  Kids today know what they're getting into when they sign up for diseases and illnesses.  This phony kid, though, has been used by the Democrats.  They've strapped lies to his belt and sent him out to run into as many people as possible and blow himself up like some sort of propaganda bomb.

If you just stop listening to what Limbaugh actually says and pay attention to what Limbaugh says about what he says, you'll find that everything becomes much clearer.

Maybe they should redirect an aircraft carrier at taxpayer's expense so GW can have a pilot jockey a "let's pretend the president is a fighter pilot" landing on the deck.

Maybe we should be upset about GW grounding the coast guard in New Orleans for several hours so he could get that fine photo op in a hanger with the heroes who had to wait to do their job so they could be in a picture with him.

How about all the upset we should feel whenever GW poses like a girl with real US soldiers in Iraq with a fake turkey, keeping them from what we sent them to do so GW could look good?

Oh....and let's not forget little Ashley from Ohio, in 2004. As an Ohioian, I got more than my fill of it in the newspapers, radio, and TV.

Ashely praised President Bush in his campaign ad, but I guess that is okay with Rino?

Taken from USA Today article 1/15/2005:

Ashley Faulkner was the focus of Ashley's Story, a pro-Bush campaign ad that aired nearly 30,000 times in the month before the election Nov. 2.

In the Faulkner family's own words, it told how Ashley had lost her mother, Wendy, in the Sept. 11 terror attacks. When President Bush learned of this at a Lebanon, Ohio, campaign rally, he gave her a spontaneous, emotional hug. Her father snapped a photo that became the centerpiece of the ad many observers deemed the most moving of the campaign.

"He's the most powerful man in the world," Ashley said in the ad, "and all he wants to do is make sure I'm safe, that I'm OK."

The trip by Ashley, now 16, her father, Lynn, and her adult sister Loren will be paid for by Progress for America, the conservative group that aired the ad. The family leaves today to attend the swearing-in, the parade and the Patriot Ball, which is for Ohio residents.

"She thinks it's kind of neat," Lynn Faulkner said. "Obviously, this is something we've never done before. ... We're kind of thrilled."

He said he and his daughters will be a few "of a gazillion people" who will watch President Bush take the oath of office for his second term.

Exactly. Limbaugh is the one who does not want to discuss the issue. He wants to discuss the MESSENGER. The Democrats are the ones discussing the issue in these ads. It's about children's health care. Showing children actually helped by the program is directly discussing the issue.

Rush also wants to make this about the Democrats, when the fact is, many Republicans supported this bill to fund SCHIP. He seems to conveniently leave that part out of his attacks on Democrats.

Besides, conservative anti-abortionists commonly use pictures of a dead fetus whenever they want to protest abortion. How is this any different? They try to put a "human face" on that issue constantly, but God forbid the Democrats show you living children helped by SCHIP.

Like others have pointed out, Bush fills his press conferences for things like No Child Left Behind or vetoing stem cell research with children. Their party does this all the time, yet the "Rino Hunters" and Rush Limbaughs of the world conveniently ignore that fact.

I guess for me the key here is what's the real truth about this family's financial situtation? Having sold insurance I can say first hand there are PLENTY of people out there who could afford health insurance but they choose to spend their money on other things. Guess what. That drives costs up for the rest of us. A family of 4 making 82 grand can't afford health insurance? Are there adults living in the real world that actually believe that?

I don't listen to Rush. Work gets in the way but I don't see anything too aggregious in his comments.

Surprise, surprise, the kid actually IS a real example of someone who was legitimately helped by the program.

Rick, I saw that show too when it was originally broadcast and it made me furious. To publicly knock the looks of a young girl, particularly at an age when girls are so self-conscious, made me realize what a mean, bullying piece of crap Rush Limbaugh is. I have never forgiven him for that.

Do you remeber how Limbaugh smirked?

Rush, please don't step into an alley where I might be taking a leak.  I doubt if I could control myself.

They should believe both since anybody who actually watched the program that Rush didn't mock the boy. He quoted the boy accurately and used his voice to make it clear that it was the boy's quote. Only in the world of liberalism is that an attack. And by the way, did you hear that Harry Reid's smear letter to Rush sold on ebay for 2.1 million today? Rush is matching that amount and sending it to children of those in the military. Rush is making the Dems look like fools as usual. Rush certainly won that battle.

Do you think I/we can't see/hear this for ourselves?

Your hero worship is misplaced.  Rush is your hero, not ours (forgive me for speaking for most of us non-rightwingers).  We're not blinded by this bigoted, drug addicted, draft dodging, immoral, hypocritical, 3 times divorced, mysogenistic, immature, child bullying, lying, college dropout, and suspected pedophile, who is not good enough to be a bad excuse for humanity.

If you want to dance with the devil, go right ahead.  I for one see the devil for what he is, a piece of garbage making a lot of money from you and others who plead to allow him to keep up the 'good work' by excusing his trangressions.

When you find a right winger worthy of your hero worship, I might take a serious look.  This one is not.

Oh, the horror of socialized medicine, cradle to the grave,,,,,,,,,,for example, Germany:

"Germany's health care system provides its residents with nearly universal access to comprehensive high-quality medical care and a choice of physicians. Over 90 percent of the population receives health care through the country's statutory health care insurance program. Membership in this program is compulsory for all those earning less than a periodically revised income ceiling. Nearly all of the remainder of the population receives health care via private for-profit insurance companies. Everyone uses the same health care facilities."

The UK has the world renowned National Health Service, formed in 1948.  It gives us free healthcare but also allows us to use private healthcare if anyone wants to jumps waiting lists or believes they can get better service in the private sector.

There are endless debates about the NHS and value for money as demands for new drugs and treatments become available, but it is a superb service that guarantees everyone basic medical care.  Dentistry is a different matter, howver, whereby virtually all dentists are private to massive disenchantment in the UK.  The only problem with the NHS currently is Labour Government interference by trying to skew statistics to show how great the NHS has become under their stewardship.  This means we get endless stats on how much waiting lists have fallen, which in reality means that more bureaucrats have been hired to middle manage those on the frontline and a lot of money provided to the NHS hasn't reached frontline services as it should.

Still wouldn't want any other system though and it shouldn't discourage the US from implementing a version either.

Perhaps that's because we can disagree with each other without attacking each other.  Liberals, in the main take seriously the "marketplace of ideas" theory, and are comfortable talking about ideas.  Conservatives are not.  When was the last time you heard a conservative spokesman "stick to the issues" of a controversy, rather than attacking the patriotism, etc. of the opponent?

I thought the most vivid example of this was the exchange between Elizabeth Edwards and Ann Coulter on Hardball.  Ms. Edwards called in to ask Ms. Coulter to stop the ad hominem attacks and  "stick to the issues."

Coulter's response?  "She's asking me to stop talking.  NO."  Only a conservative could interpret a request to avoid character assassination as an attempt to shut her up.

He comes up with an opinion first, and then finds whatever justification (however improbable) to back it up, and tries to "debunk" other fact-based analysis by the first thought or "refutation" that comes into his head.

I was vastly amused on a different thread when he tried to counter several stats I had cited from the World Health Organization by stating they couldn't POSSIBLY be able to estimate illegal procedures for the simple reason they were illegal. It very quickly became clear that Rino Hunter was assertively "refuting" their work although he had apparently never HEARD OF the World Health Organization!!

"As a non-profit, tax deductible organization, MMFA is never supposed to engage in partisan politics.  However, as soon as you begin to do a little research and see the coordinated campaigns that link HRC, Center for American Progress, MoveOn AND MMFA, it is clear that there is a violation of the tax exempt status of these organization.   I have already written a letter of complaint to both the IRS, the FEC and the FCC to help launch the investigation.

By the way, a look at most of the people associated with MMFA on the Staff link shows the close association between MMFA and the Democrat Party  - and HRC.

If MMFA wants to keep it's tax exempt status it better start obeying the law.

You must be a very busy and important boy BillyBob. The IRS, FEC, FCC and now state child protection authorities. I guess you have a lot of friends in high places. And "this is only the beginning" you said elsewhere on the thread. Yet MMFA website is still up. Or is there a storm coming they will not survive? How are those investigations going? Surely they must be keeping you in the loop. This afternoon the rest of us have to go to an emergency meeting convened by Al Gore, Hillary, and George Soros. Maybe that is what it will be about. Keep up the good work though. This is terrific comic relief. It also allowed us to negotiate higher pay scales from George. He must be very worried.

I've said it before, and it bears constant repeating:

Rightwingers HATE progressives, liberals, and Democrats MORE than Osama Bin Laden and the people who attacked us on 9/11. And EVERY TIME I'VE SAID THIS, never ONCE has a rightwinger disagreed!

The fact that slimeballs like Rush, O'Reilly, Hannity et.al NEVER talk about any need whatsoever to get Bin Laden, yet can't go 2 minutes without slimng Americans who don't share in their hysterical, reactionary political views, tells you all you need to know about the GOP and their followers.

6 years after 9/11 and no one on the right cares about getting Bin Laden. That is undeniably true! They NEVER mention him, except in political ads. They'll attack children, they'll attack 9/11 widows, they'll attack anti-war vets, they'll mock the disabled, they'll make jokes about Cindy Sheehan for losing her child pointlessly in Iraq - but never, in all their spittle-flying anger do they EVER rail against Osama Bin Laden!

And they blame some non-existent "liberal media", or Media Matters, for why the rightwing is so overwhelmingly despised by the American people. They can't fathom that it could honestly be because people despise Limbaugh, Malkin, Coulter, and Bush for WHAT THEY SAY and WHAT THEY'VE DONE. And when Bush has succeeded in pasing on his failed occupation in Iraq onto the next Democratic administration, IMMEDIATELY the quagmire will become the Democrats fault.

Limbaugh continued: "[W]e found out who was writing it and made a couple phone calls to the person writing it. And we said, 'You know what? We're going to find out where your kids go to school. We're going to find out who you knocked up in high school. We're going to find out what drugs you used. We're going to find out where you go to drink and do -- we're gonna find out how you paid for your house. We're going to do -- and we're going to do exact -- and we're going to say that, you know what? What Bacci40 DID say is that Colmes should not have allowed Rush to LIE. That's not being "disrespectful," "impolite," or making "personal" attacks, that's requiring that information presented on one's show as factual must, in fact, BE factual.

The "attack" (if it indeed merits that word; I think not) would not be based on "personal" matters, but on substantive issues which are being discussed. If you can't challenge untrue information, you could never debate.

"The S-Chip program is trying to be greatly expanded!!!" That's my paraphrase of the point Limbaugh was making with these kids. These kids got the health care they needed when they needed it. As S-CHIP currently stands, these kids and no other children (citizen, resident alien or illegal alien) are denied ER health care. The kid's statements are an outright lie. The President has said multiple times that he supports this program but not an expansion of it.

Having been the survivor of a similar auto accident pre-S-CHIP, I understand the sacrifices my parents made when we had to "Eat beans and taters one night, taters and beans the next" because we had to sell everything we owned and pay installments for several years for the care My mother and I got. BTW, My sister died in our auto accident. Bad things happen to good people, but that's Life, and we usually are made stronger for it.

Thanks to government assistance programs (read wealth redistribution) we already have two generations of adults who are increasingly more irresponsible toward their children's needs. My parents did not qualify for these programs back in the day. I, in turn, was motivated to be better than my parents and to try to save money so that my kids have the opportunity for a better childhood than I had.

Folks don't understand that if you make parents more responsible for their children's well-being that perhaps the quality of life for children will get better. Besides, why pay 30 bureaucrats and waste the time of federal officials (who should be more concerned about securing our borders) to do the job of 5 private insurance employees plus Mom And Dad?

He disrepects those who have served and then claims just the opposite.

Actually, he disrespected those who had claimed to have served, but did not and then later made up lies about atrocities they and others had committed.

Lying libs and the corrupt MSM claimed the opposite.

They lie. It's what they do. It's all they have.

An analogy would be criticizing someone for calling Randi Rhodes a "phony victim of mugging".

She lied about it. It's what she does. It's all she has.

People who think for themselves in the real world and who don't *heart* Rush Limbaugh can see plainly that Limbaugh has been backtracking, backpedaling, re-editing and furiously trying to spin his way out of his "phoney soldiers" quip.  But outside of the parroting dittohead community, people just aren't that stupid.

Joe Elliot hyped up the mugging that never happened in an inexcusable bit of hype with no facts.

Rhodes and Air America never claimed there was a mugging, in fact both issued statements to dispel the out of control rumor.

But hey, don't let something simple like facts get in the way of your lying douchebaggery.

To get back on topic though, why does Rush have so much scorn for anti-war veterans and sick children while he has plenty of nice things to say about a political party filled with pedophiles and men who troll public restrooms and whorehouses for sex?  Is it a birds of a feather thing?  Maybe that explains why you want to change the topic.

WHO IS THE DRUG ADDICT, AGAIN?  WHO was the guy busted having his maid buy hillbilly heroin again?  YOUR HERO RUSH, that's who.  And oh yeah, you're defending vermin that ATTACKED A 12 YEAR OLD, and called soldiers that don't support your war "phony".

Sorry you don't LIKE that he did that, but HE DID.  Those are the FACTS, should you choose to enter the real world and acknowledge reality, vs the FUX alternate version of it.

The ONLY people that think that fatboy DIDN'T attack this kid, or call soldiers phony are YOU RUSHBOTS, simply because HE TOLD YOU SO.  Unthinking robots that repeat whatever they are told- how PROUD you must be.

Don't you morons recall him saying when you people lost in 2006 that he "wouldn't have to carry water for people that didn't deserve it any more"?  Didn't you figure out what that MEANT???

It meant "I've been LYING!  TO YOU, ABOUT PEOPLE THAT 'DON'T DESERVE IT'!"  Carrying water = LYING.  Hellllllooooo?

DUH!  I mean, DUH!  But, then again, you people really don't have ANY critical thinking skills on your own, do you?  No, you MUST have someone like rushbo to TELL you what to think.

Randi lies?  And Rushbo is truthful?  Tell me, what color is the sky on your planet?  Is it always sunny there?  Of course, there's only ONE channel- FUXLies.

You people are amazing ignorant- dangerously ignorant, in fact.

Amazing, the level of absurdity and pure INSANITY that you people show in each and every post, defending the indefensible with pure untruth and lies, simply because a KID said something you didn't like, and your HERO attacked him for it.  THAT'S the kind of scum you're defending.  Lie with the dogs....

Breathtaking, the hypocrisy and foolish ignorance you spew- you people are *exactly* the reason this country is where it is.  You people NEVER HESITATE to use ANYTHING that will advance your corrupt agenda- kids, soldiers, fake turkeys, "Miss'n Accomp'lishd" banners and entire aircraft carriers, or otherwise, NEVER.  More of this faux outrage by you 'thugs makes thinking people want to puke.

Unthinking, unquestioning ROBOTS that apparently cannot think or read a freakin' transcript for yourselves.  "Rush SAID he wasn't making fun of the soldiers/children/minorities/whatever, so it MUST be so!  Yep.  Look, here's the (DOCTORED) transcript to "prove it"!  Derrrrr!  It's that durn lib'rul media a'gin!"

Unthinking zealots that NEVER BOTHER to check on your heroes, in ANY way.  You take whatever they say, at face value, as the unvarnished, gospel truth.

So I went to your link, and no where did they write or say that it was a "Left Wing" attack.  They also didn't say that she was a store clerk, but they did say she was standing in the doorway of the store they pictured.  I have no idea if it was Left or Right that attacked her. I don't yet know that it was an actual attack on her, or if it was an unfortunate accident.

In fact, since it was a Fox "New" report, there's no way of knowing what the truth is.  We won't know until a legitamate news orginization reports about the incident.

My question to you: Are there some FACTS that led you to the conclusion that this was a left wing attack, or did Limbaugh tell you it was?

Summary: Discussing Graeme Frost and his family on Hannity & Colmes, Rush Limbaugh claimed, "I never once attacked this family. I attacked the Democrats for exploiting them. I attacked the Democrats for putting lies into the head of a 12-year-old -- a 12-year-old they send out before microphones and cameras to sit there and say," and mimicking Graeme's voice, continued, " 'I only want health care for the rest of American children like I got, and George Bush is against it.' The 12-year-old can't write that garbage!"

Yup.  Those damned Limbaugh listening kids nowadays.  They just want to go out and throw bricks at Liberals.  But they keep missing, and hit innocent bystanders.  Now that I think about it, this is much the same as how we ended up in Iraq.

What ever happened to Rush's "victim infalibility" theory?

This would have been the perfect opportunity to remind viewers and listeners alike of VICTIM INFALIBILITY. Come on Stranger, LH ,Old Marine you remember, according to Rush victim infalibility was the trump card of the left; that he and every other conservative were supposed to be rendered mute when the left brought out a "victim" in support of say, stem cell research (Michael J Fox ring a bell for you). Victim infalibility, victim infalibility, victim infalibility it was such a popular phrase, Laura Ingram picked it up and ran with it, Sean Hannity, John Grambling, etc. "VICTIM INFALIBILITY" dittoheads, what HAPPENED TO IT I want to KNOW?

Well I'll tell you what happened to it, a caller wasted "el Rusho" when they asked the MAN with the EIB "gold microphone" the following question. Wait for it... what was the difference when he claimed every other country that opposed attacking Iraq just could not understand beacuse they didn't experiece 9/11.

(Stipulation of fact: Iraq had nothing to do with the terror attacks of 9/11/01)

And vioula, "victim infalibility" was vanquished into the right wing lexicon wasteland. Only we did attack IRAQ and thousands have died, children have become orphans, wives have become widows and Rush Limbaugh laughs all the way to the bank.

While this was certainly a lively string, I love the guy/gal who really laid into the the repugnuts, it's too late and I'm too tired to keep going. But I'll be back, because I got kids dammit and I'll be damned if you crazies out there are going to ruin this county for them. Victim Infalibility, HUH!

Rush is right...Again. The Democrats used this family for their own gain. They wanted to create momentum for their whole Socialized Healthcare agenda. They want our free country to become a communist country where the government controls every aspect of our lives. I'm poor but i dont want the rich to have to pay more taxes to support those who didnt take advantage of the oppurtunities presented to them in this country. God save us from Communistesque Liberals. Stop the Hillary Express!!

Nothing throws Haters like Limbaugh and Coulter into a tizzy and frustrates them more than somebody like Graeme Frost. Frost makes their jobs (the job of ridicule and mockery) -a lot more difficult.

Limbaugh & Co. do recognize that there are some limits to their hate, and they know exactly where the lines are. And they know when they have to spin and backpedal (see "Phony Soldiers", elsewhere).

But ---that doesn't stop them. They keep lowering the bar just a little bit each time.

It's women. It's people of color. Then veterans. Then decorated veterans. Marines. Paraplegic vets. Mothers of dead soldiers. Soldiers exercising free speech. 9/11 widows. The latest is not even a kid, but a kid who's an accident victim kid with a permanent condition at that.

They mock. They ridicule. They harass. The lie and distort.

Nothing's off-limits to them. Sure, they do it gingerly and have to do a lot of spin and CYA afterwards. But they still do it. And have no shame, no qualms, no conscience, and no decency about it.

      AWESOME JOB, RUSH!

What I find interesting is that liberals are perfectly willing to argue against a situation where they think they MIGHT be able to flamboozle people but choose to distract in those cases where they're clearly exposed.

And what's so telling about this particular outcry against Rush is that they are focusing on it AS IF they have never exploited families or the poor before in the fashion Rush details.

Liberals have been pulling out the race card, and the victim mentality card, and the poor-me, pity-me card ever since they realized that without a "downtrodden" people somewhere in the world, there'd be no need for the pseudo-caregiving the enabling liberal Democrats think they provide.
