Limbaugh on purported Clinton "warn[ing]" to Blitzer: "Wolf may want to beg off the debate because who's going to take care of his children?"
Discussing the November 15 Democratic presidential debate, which is scheduled to be moderated by CNN host Wolf Blitzer, Rush Limbaugh again suggested during the November 13 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show that the Clintons were somehow involved in the death of Vince Foster, former Clinton deputy White House counsel. Limbaugh stated, "We know Wolf's already got a reservation he's not aware of to Fort Marcy Park" -- the site in suburban Northern Virginia where Foster committed suicide. As Media Matters for America has noted (here, here, here, here, and here), Limbaugh has a history of invoking Fort Marcy Park, despite multiple official investigations that determined Foster committed suicide.
Limbaugh later claimed that "the Clinton Inc. war room today warn[ed] Wolf Blitzer" that " 'he'd better not do any personal-attack, [Tim] Russert-type questions Thursday night at the debate in Las Vegas.' Or else." Limbaugh added: "They didn't say 'or else,' but if you warned him, what do you mean? ... I speculated earlier that Wolf may want to beg off the debate because who's going to take care of his children?"
As the source of his claim that the Clinton camp had "warned" Blitzer, Limbaugh cited an anonymously sourced blurb on the Drudge Report asserting that a "top Clinton insider" warned Blitzer not to "pull a 'Russert.' " Blitzer has since stated that "[n]o one has pressured me. No one has threatened me. No one is trying to intimidate me. ... No one has even called me to try to pressure me or anything like that. ... I have not felt any pressure whatsoever," as Media Matters documented.
Later during the show, Limbaugh advised Blitzer to "get a cup," stating: "Wolf, by the way, get a cup. I don't know that Wolf's listening. I know he listens some. If he's not listening, somebody tell Wolf to get a cup. I know people at CNN monitor this show. You people at Media Matters, I know you're listening. Tell Wolf to get a cup. Well, I could send him one, but I -- [sigh] -- I don't know if mine would fit him."
As Media Matters noted, Limbaugh has himself claimed to have intimidated a reporter. During the October 15 broadcast of his show, Limbaugh claimed to have targeted an unnamed reporter who was writing "a cover story on me coming out of one of the big news magazines, and it was going to totally mischaracterize me and what I do and how I do it." Limbaugh continued: "[W]e found out who was writing it and made a couple phone calls to the person writing it. And we said, 'You know what? We're going to find out where your kids go to school. We're going to find out who you knocked up in high school. We're going to find out what drugs you used. We're going to find out where you go to drink and do -- we're gonna find out how you paid for your house. We're going to do -- and we're going to do exact -- and we're going to say that, you know what? You are no different than Al Goldstein. You both masturbate.' "
Limbaugh then claimed: "And the guy started screaming on the phone, just went -- 'You can't do that.' We said, 'Watch us.' And it changed the tone of the story by about 60 percent, I would say, from what it was going to be. But nobody does that to these people. Nobody does it to them. And that would be so much fun."
From the November 13 broadcast of Premiere Radio Networks' The Rush Limbaugh Show:
LIMBAUGH: So, planting questions with college kids, using pre-teenagers for health care ads, as in SCHIP, laundering money through Chinatown, and now threatening a member -- or warning a member of the media -- better not cross the line the Clintons have drawn when questioning Mrs. Clinton at the debate Thursday night in Las Vegas.
We'll come back and continue with all this right after this, so don't go away, folks.
[commercial break]
LIMBAUGH: You know what Wolf ought to do at that debate on Thursday night? He ought to have a disclaimer prior to every question. "This question approved by Ann Lewis. This question approved by Bill Clinton. This question approved by Howard Wolfson. This question approved by Hillary Clinton herself. This question planted by Hillary Clinton herself."
Here's the only safe line of questions for Wolf Blitzer to ask Hillary Clinton at the debate on Thursday night: "Mrs. Clinton, what points would you like to make this evening? Mrs. Clinton, do you need more time to make your points? Mrs. Clinton, what would you like to be asked about now, as we're nearing the end of the debate? Mrs. Clinton, have we asked the right questions to help you get your points across? Because frankly, we haven't understood a thing you've said tonight." Well, better not throw that in there. We know Wolf's already got a reservation he's not aware of to Fort Marcy Park.
Greetings, and welcome back. [laughing] Can you believe this? There's a story -- of all places, The New Republic, the home of fake, phony soldier, anti-war and Iraq stories, has a piece -- let's see. I guess -- it's on the website, by Michael Crowley, and it's called "Bunker Hillary." And this is a very liberal publication.
"On June 1st, The New York Times published a front-page article 'One Place Where Obama Goes Elbow to Elbow.' The feature detailed Barack Obama's love for pickup basketball, his jersey-tugging style, even the time he hit a long game-winning shot after getting fouled. The Obama camp clearly welcomed the humanizing glimpse at Obama's life. His rivals, probably not so much. In an ordinary campaign, that might have been it. But this is no ordinary campaign -- not when Hillary Clinton is a candidate. So, the Clinton team let the Times reporter, Patrick Healy, who covers the Hillary beat, know about their 'annoyance' with the story, as Healy later put it. If grumbling about a basketball story seems excessive, it's also typical of the Clinton media machine."
And Michael Crowley goes on to detail the efforts by the Clinton Inc. war room to shape and intimidate reporters and their coverage. And then he adds this. "Despite all the grumbling, however, the press has showered Hillary with strikingly positive coverage. 'It's one of the few times I've seen journalists respect someone for beating the hell out of them,' says a veteran Democrat [sic] media operative. So far, the strategery has worked brilliantly. In the current climate, where the mainstream media is under attack from both conservatives and liberals, Clinton may have picked the right moment to get tough with the press." We shall see.
This stuff works well when nobody knows it's happening, but now the press is starting to talk about it. And what's also amazing is the Clinton campaign is starting to brag about it. I mean, when you call [Internet gossip Matt] Drudge and say, "Hey, we just warned Wolf Blitzer that he'd better not be tough on Hillary, he'd better not ask these personal-attack questions. He'd better not do a Russert. That he'd better stick to the issues," I mean, this is arrogance personified.
You know who I really fear for? Today, I have real fear for this young college student in Grinnell, Iowa, who is out there admitting that she was a plant and that they asked her to be a plant. Remember, the campaign's denying all -- well, they're not denying it, but Hillary said she didn't know anything about it. The student's name is -- I hope I pronounce this right -- Muriel Gallo-Chasanoff. And this is this morning on CNN, the network where Wolf Blitzer works, the network hosting the debate on Thursday night. Wolf Blitzer having today been warned by the Clinton war room to keep it right. So she was appearing, and this is the -- this is what she said about the planted question to Hillary.
[...]
Let me do some -- a little analysis here on timing for all of this stuff to have happened to Mrs. Clinton now. What, are we into our third week of this? We're into our third week of a slow bleed, and it all started -- I think -- I can't prove it -- but I think it all started on this program the day of the debate in Philadelphia at Drexel University when I read a story in the Associated Press talking about how radioactive the issue of driver's licenses for illegal immigrants in New York was for Mrs. Clinton.
The reporter said, "This is radioactive." I said, "Well, ask her about it." The story was about how nobody's asking her about it because it's radioactive. I said, "Ask her about it." That night, she was asked about it by [debate moderator] Tim Russert, and she flubbed it. She flip-flopped it. She blew it big time in ways that, you know, we don't need to recount.
On a conference call later the next day, a bunch of Clinton supporters were discussing all this -- how to strategerize around it and what to do about it, and according to The Hill newspaper, one of them even said "Russert should be shot," and then said, "I shouldn't say that on a conference call."
Now, also in the process of this, folks, we have dealt perhaps -- perhaps -- too soon to say -- but we have dealt a damaging, perhaps fatal blow to Governor Eliot Spitzer's [D-NY] plan to give illegals driver's licenses. So we got a twofer there. We got Mrs. Clinton off the highway. The guardrails didn't protect her. She's in the SUV, and it's rolling over there. She had to get Clinton out to start defending her. Then, of course, came the "didn't tip the waitresses," then comes the planted questions. Then Bill Clinton says, "Boys, they're ganging up on her here." Then Mrs. Clinton had to say that she was a woman and that they're attacking her because she's a woman. Then she says, "No, I can handle it. I'm tough. I'm your girl" -- and blah blah blah. You know all of this.
Now, we've got this ongoing bleed with the student and planted questions, and the Clinton Inc. war room today warning Wolf Blitzer that "he'd better not gang up on her. He'd better not do any personal-attack, Russert-type questions Thursday night at the debate in Las Vegas." Or else. They didn't say "or else," but if you warned him, what do you mean? You know, I'm -- I speculated earlier that Wolf may want to beg off the debate because who's going to take care of his children? Just like these diplomats at the State Department don't want to go to Iraq. Because who's going to take care of their children?
Wolf, by the way, get a cup. I don't know that Wolf's listening. I know he listens some. If he's not listening, somebody tell Wolf to get a cup. I know people at CNN monitor this show. You people at Media Matters, I know you're listening. Tell Wolf to get a cup. Well, I could send him one, but I -- [sigh] -- I don't know if mine would fit him.
But nevertheless, let's look at the timing of this, ladies and gentlemen. Here we are shortly before Thanksgiving, and all this is happening. Up till the past three weeks have been smooth sailing. Mrs. Clinton reporting all this marvelous fundraising superiority. Magnified, big leads in the polls wherever you look. Now all of a sudden this little slow bleed is happening, and it shows no signs of abating.

What a vile, distgusting hypocrit! This from the man who's bragged about intimidating reporters, and after Wolf himself denied it. This is just getting ridiculous. Why couldn't oxy have taken this guy's voice rather than his hearing. He could listen ore, talk less and the world might be a better place. No talent gas-bag.
Perhaps Limbaugh is referring to MMFA, who is issuing it's own "warning" to Blitzer on a previous thread?
"Wolf may want to beg off the debate because who's going to take care of his children?"--Limbaugh
It's so obvious. Limbaugh's showing concern because he wants to be the one to take care of Blitzers children. What a scumbag.
Every day, I am very thankful to all the powers in the universe that Rush Limbaugh never fathered any children. His hatred and lunacy ends with this generation.
Perhaps Limbaugh "enjoys" issuing "warnings" that involve children.
No doubt what he was doing during that trip to the Dominican Republic, when he was caught with the Viagra on his return.....
A re-post of mine from another thread
Good grief, you folks do make me chuckle at times.
While I wouldn't put it past the Clinton camp to personally intimidate or pressure anyone if they thought they could get away with it...they really don't have to.
It's out there all over the airwaves & in print.
It started right after the debate. Anonymous Clintonites began jumping all over Russert. He was playing Gotcha!, let's just set aside the fact that Hills couldn't give a straight answer to a very specific question! They blamed Hillary's stumble on being piled on by Russert & her opponents. The hounddog used code words like swiftboating. Then whined that the boys were being tough on her.
Nah none of that is implied pressure to treat Hills with kid gloves or intimidating to the next debate commentator ::eye roll::
Being that Wolf is such a wimp I'm sure he'll buckle. Watch for him to walk on eggshells around Hillary.
=======================
Yeah Limbaugh always goes over the top, but he sometimes hovers around the truth... I'll be interested to watch this debate & see IF Wolf has indeed been intimidated
MAYBE he does. However since Blitzer has DENIED this happened this wouldnt be one of those times.
This isn't a repost. Wow, the Republans are covering their arses by framing this debate in the only way they no how....BS. If they R's are not PLEASED by the way Wolf asks the questions, they have another one of their built-in excuses of MEDIA BIAS and this is BEFORE the questions are even asked.
Jeter, you have to agree that Rush is using his famous "PARAPHRASING A HYPOTHETICAL" routine again and the sheep BAA with it. I would like to know if any other person D or R could spew such hate..remember, Rush is suggesting children and death in concerning this matter. And please, that is what he said.
It started right after the debate. Anonymous Clintonites began jumping all over Russert. He was playing Gotcha!
Very good! Can you also roll over and sniff Chris Matthews crotch on demand too? Unlike Limbots and their fellow travelers, I don't base what I say on the media meme (this week being, "Hillary cried foul after Russert debate"). The fact that there's nothing to back up this latest media-created story but the talking heads on MSNBC, CNN, and FOX wanting desperately to create stories where they don't exist doesn't stop the mouth-breathing Limbots from repeating it - or whatever they're told to repeat - over and over again until it becomes "reality".
As someone who would never vote for Hillary because she's clearly a Republican, I'm not saying this to defend her. She's garbage, just like Limbaugh, Russert, and all the other far-right scumbags controlling the national media. The fact is, clowns like Mr Repeat-Posting (it was so insightful it had to be posted again (!)) think they're making personal observations when they're merely being tools who repeat what they've heard ad naseum in the media. This is what passes for "dialogue" on the right.
Try thinking for yourself, Mr Cut-and-Paste. If I want to know what the beltway crowd is manufacturing I have the MSM already doing that.
Day & Night,
I too thought Jeter's post was weak, but he is not generally any kind of Limbot. Usually, he's thoughtful, fair minded and reasonable (even if he is a Republican) (and, even worse, a Yankees fan).
I agree with Otter, Jeter is not a "Limbot", but his comments are not very compelling either ("sometimes hovers around the truth"? What a standard to live up to!).
What I'm most curious about is how Jeter imagines he'll be able to tell if Blitzer was intimidated or not. Outside of his asking softball questions or shaking and stammering when he's asking her a question, I don't know what indication there could possibly be.
Yeah Limbaugh always goes over the top, but he sometimes hovers around the truth...
Very well put Mr. Jeter - but if you havent noticed (I'm assuming you have) MMFA's typical mode of operation is to isolate a small facet of a media story that can be twisted in such a way as to suggest that the reporter or news commentator is a liar or a hypocrite. That is then used to suggest that everything they say must be false and deserving of censure.
Great post J,
Of course your "hovering around the truth" insight is quite accurate. Just because Limbaugh engages in wild hyperbole doesn't mean he never hits the nail on the head occassionally, which is what I believe you meant.
All the fallout from the last debate regarding Hillary and her waffling answer was of course her responsibility. Had she answered it directly and not changed her answer during the debate, there would be none of this dustup or these "threats" against Blitzer or anyone else, made-up or real.
Typical of the Clintons, and many liberals, do something you can't wiggle out of and then turn the guns on anyone who dares question it and play the victim.
Let's hope Blitzer and the rest hold all the candidates, both parties, feet to the fire with tough questions. We deserve that from our media.
Interesting feedback, thank you I enjoyed reading the posts. To those who know me well enough not to describe me as a "Rushbot", an extra thanks.
I don't listen to Rush often. But when I get the chance I'll put on his show, basically to be entertained by his humor, & his bombastic, yet captivating commentary. While I don't think of him as a comedian [like Keith does] I do consider him a colorful character.
While many Dem/Libs find it difficult to believe, some of us Rep/Cons can think for ourselves & certainly know enough to listen to Rush's opinions with a grain of salt. The man does hover around the truth. He simply adds his own biased viewpoints & occasionally crosses the line into utter absurdity.
Will Wolf be intimidated? Pressured? Well if he's human I'd imagine he will. Mix that in with the fact that the guy is a tad wimpy & one can only speculate how he'll handle the debate.
Do I believe the Clinton Camp has directly put pressure on Blitzer? Probably not...however, if they thought they could get away with it I think they would.
How about indirect pressure? You betcha! By moaning, groaning, & whining for 2 weeks to the media, who have gleefully picked up the story & run with it...the message is clear. Be fair to Hillary or risk being accused of piling on, Conservative bias, sexism, & Clinton hatred.
Now Brab wants to know how I'll analyze the debate.
Probably the same way he, all of you, MMFA & the media does.
Many time MMFA complains/points out that certain candidates are given "softball" questions. Or are treated with kid gloves.
I'm as perfectly capable as they are in determining those factors.
In closing, let me say this to Night&Day. Your post would have been more effective if you hadn't taken a step into the gutter. I'll make note not to bother reading your stuff, it's a waste of my time.
Slight correction
I wrote: Be fair to Hillary or risk being accused of piling on, Conservative bias, sexism, & Clinton hatred.
I meant to write: TREAD LIGHTLY around Hillary or risk being accused of piling on, Conservative bias, sexism, & Clinton hatred.
If the basis for the conclusion is Hillary getting softball questions while other candidates don't, then that's fine. What I'm expecting is that if Hillary is treated the same as the others, then that's going to be interpreted by people like Limbaugh as "kid gloves".
I think it would have to be something fairly blatant to support the story that there was intimidation, especially considering that Blitzer denied it already.
Jeter I'am a Yankee fan too but I couldn't disagree with you more on politics. Your biase to the extent that your blinded to the facts and just like your boy Limbaugh all you spew is distortions, and lies. I don't like Hillary either but I think she can be exposed with the truth not gossip. Pllanted question,to be honest what politician hasn't? Was she trying to lie on a issue or was she trying to get out her position? I mean its not like speaking to a hand picked supportive "town hall" meeting, or like having sof-ball questions lobed at you by supportive journalist at Faux news. C'mon hasn't this President ever spoken to an audience that wasn't filtered out for disenters? Republican canidates won't even speak to minorities, refusing to show up at debates sponsored by them! Take off your blinders and apply the same scrutiny to Republicans that you do to progressives and you might wake up and find some truth. You and Tommy amaze me. Hillary didn't whine that just your interpretation, how about Rudy Ghouliani and his lies and flip flopping, or Romneys, name one republican canidate that doesn't stand for more of the same(besides Ron Paul)bs that we have now in the white house and I'll take back my words, but you can't, because there isn't one. Tell me why should I voote then for more of the same?
Just because Limbaugh engages in wild hyperbole doesn't mean he never hits the nail on the head occassionally.
Whether or not the boy who cried “Wolf!” one too many times may have once been correct is a mute point because he’s still a liar.
.....does David Brock fit that description as well?
Please feel free to cite a lie by David Brock to back up your rhetorical assertion.
MMFA is the creation of David Brock, a self-described “hit man” and self-confessed liar and gossip peddler. Brock’s own past casts a shadow over his current self-proclaimed dedication to truth-telling. At one time or another Brock has viciously attacked the Clintons and the Bushes, Anita Hill and Clarence Thomas, Rush Limbaugh and National Public Radio, the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. Each time he recants a prior assault he lunges out at a new political enemy.
Brock puts himself in the position of someone who says, “I’m a liar. Believe what I tell you.” Reviewing Brock’s 2002 memoir, Blinded by the Right, journalist Christopher Hitchens wrote, “I would say without any hesitation that he [Brock] is incapable of recognizing the truth, let alone of telling it. The whole book is an exercise in self-love, disguised as an exercise in self-abnegation.” Cultural critic Camille Paglia, a left-leaning Democrat, ridiculed Brock’s confession: “Behold, the writhing snake pit of amoral media ambition!”
I notice you didn't bother to post the "unbiased" source for your italicized screed.
It probably sounded better in the original German before you ran it through Babelfish.
Perhaps you did not see that both Christopher Hitchens and Camile Paglia were both identified - niether are "right wing" or conservative.
The first paragraph is fact and related observation based on Brocks own writings. When Brock says what he wrote about Anita Hill was not truthful - he was indeed - Lying.
"... if you havent noticed (I'm assuming you have) MMFA's typical mode of operation is to isolate a small facet of a media story that can be twisted in such a way as to suggest that the reporter or news commentator is a liar or a hypocrite. Except that Limbaugh is both a liar and a hypocrite, and when you mix in little tid-bits about how the Clintons are going to murder Wolf Blitzer (and lest you think Limbaugh was just joking or being colorful, he's pushed the "Clintons are murderers" meme on a number of occassions), then he drowns out his own point, no "twisting" on MMFA's part required.
Jeter accurately posted in his comment (to which I was responding) that Limbaugh does go over the top and "hovers" around the truth. Both occur in the above story.
Limbaugh was not the focus of my post - Media Matters was. By focusing on the "over the top" Media Matters tries to discredit the truth portion - they fail. Many of us can see through that - some of you can't.
By focusing on the "over the top" Media Matters tries to discredit the truth portion - they fail.
Please provide a specific example.

Stert with this and see if you can figure out the obfuscation. You'll benefit much more by figuring it out for yourself than to have me spoon feed it to you.
I'm not going to make your point for you.
"Limbaugh was not the focus of my post - Media Matters was. By focusing on the "over the top" Media Matters tries to discredit the truth portion - they fail. Many of us can see through that - some of you can't. - WC4ME / Thursday November 15, 2007 01:51:15 PM EST"
Limbaugh is the focus of this thread, however. "Over the top" in this context implies that the individual in question is being basically truthful but simply suffers from being, perhaps, too passionate in what he is saying. I see this as false framing. Limbaugh was forwarding the disgusting "Clintons as murderers" meme as he has done frequently in the past. (For the record, I will agree with you that MMFA misses the mark on some stories.) You accuse MMFA of trying to switch the topic by highlighting the ridiculous portion of Limbaugh's fulminations, but Limbaugh's pushing this meme is an egregious example of conservative misinformation in its own right and as such well within the site's mission statement. Limbaugh may be right once in a blue moon (gag) but by dressing up his statement with vile allegations, he invites derision.
While I do not even know what the lie was, since it remains to be specifically cited, there is not a person alive who has not lied at some point. Rush, however, lies every time he opens his mouth. He’s a phony truth soldier.
Wc4 your right David Brock did admit he lied about Anita Hill, and but he said as the title of his book states He was Blinded by the Right,I read his book and I believe his story and the facts contained in it. He exposed the right wing hate machine as only a person on the inside of it could. You may not like that he turned on them but I'am a glad he did. You also left out that he aplogized for the part he played in creating that disgusting image of Ms.Hill that resulted in one of the worst persons being on the Supreme Court in Clarence Thomas. Anita Hill told the truth and Mr. Brock acknowledges that, he has seen the right wing and now rejects them, you may not like that but you cannot refute the facts in his story.
Nope, Davids history is known here. His organisation looks at all manner of conservative wildlife. There's wolves, weasels, moles and other metaphorical animals in abundance.
I can't hear the point, but that might be moot....
I was wondering if/when that would get spotted.
Out on a limb...
After watching the excellent Nova documentary on science teachers vs. I-Deists last night, I've come to the conclusion that folks like Rush, along with his fellow I-Deists, are actually living proof of human evolution.
Not only do they belong to the branch of humans that didn't acquire the gene necessary to separate fact from fiction, like chimps, they seem to enjoy wildly flinging the stuff they pull outta their ass.
They do certainly seem to already inhabit an alternate reality.
Johnny NYC,
"Alternate reality" presupposes that they believe what they peddle. I'm not sure that they all do--I'm sure there are SOME who swallow it all, but I'm equally sure that many of those who loudly deliver the kool-aid don't actually drink it themselves. Maybe "pseudo-reality?" Hmmm....I think I'm just spouting what everybody already knows.
Drafted, I caught most of that show, pretty good. A lot of details of the legal case that I didn't see at the time it was happening."The Wedge" (Discovery Institute?) is a pretty interesting piece of it.
Tell Wolf to get a cup. Well, I could send him one, but I -- [sigh] -- I don't know if mine would fit him.
Those who brag about their manhood almost always have nothing to brag about.
And if it wasn't for the Clintons, there would be no Rush. They're the gift that keeps on giving, at least for him.
Actually, Foghorn, a bigger cup would fit on anybody easier than one that's too small. Maybe Rush was sighing about his own shortcomings, or something he knows about "The Blitzer".
"the Clinton Inc. war room today warn[ed] Wolf Blitzer" that " 'he'd better not do any personal-attack, [Tim] Russert-type questions Thursday night at the debate in Las Vegas.' Or else." Limbaugh added: "They didn't say 'or else,..."
This is a classic El Rushbo, an entirely made up quote, or "lie", with the self-correction of part of it.Convinces the dittobots he's credible, I guess, if he's admitting he lied about part of it, he must be telling the truth about the rest of it.
Blitzer might have trouble figuring out what a cup is for, but it would certainly fit. When Rush takes Viagra his entire body doubles in size.
[apologies to Robin Williams for that joke]
"Tell Wolf to get a cup. Well, I could send him one, but I -- [sigh] -- I don't know if mine would fit him."
This from the man who admitted he was a water carrier for unworthy politicians?
That's a variation of the old joke: What happens when a lawyer takes Viagra?
He gets taller.
Rush Limbaugh? Isn't he the guy who made fun of Michael J. Fox's Parkinson's?
Yup, right after returning from his vacation to the child sex capital of the world (and getting busted for illegal drugs on the return trip). But no jail time for Rush, laws are only for us working stiffs.
Nice pun thrown in.
Snoopy where you been, missed your comments!
Darn Sounds like I missed a great show.
Rush Limbaugh knows all about threatening kids:
http://mediamatters.org/items/200710160001?f=s_search
He definitely shouldn't have gone down this road with Blitzer.
"Tell Wolf to get a cup. Well, I could send him one, but I -- [sigh] -- I don't know if mine would fit him."
Yeah, Rush, I'm sure that Wolf Blitzer needs a cup that is much larger than yours
Maybe the MSM could get to the bottom of this one by interviewing some underaged Dominican boys "in the know" about Rush's measurements. Although on that trip, they were drug enhanced, so they wouldn't be official measurements.
I have heard that Rush is hung like a stud field mouse.
Needle Dick bug f*<kker you mean.....
Wait...!
Just a few minutes ago I played the tape of Limbaugh's broadcast backwards and Limbaugh can be heard repeating the phrase "Hillary killed Vince Foster."
Justice and Truth in the USA - FACT CHECK EDITION:
From the topic (above) -
There's a story -- of all places, The New Republic, the home of fake, phony soldier, anti-war and Iraq stories, has a piece -- let's see. I guess -- it's on the website, by Michael Crowley, and it's called "Bunker Hillary." And this is a very liberal publication.
------- end quote -------
That "Bunker Hillary" article was very revealing:
Many reporters also suspect the Clinton camp of employing outside proxies to attack troublemakers in the media. After Hillary's shaky debate performance late last month, the Drudge Report--whose author, Matt Drudge, the campaign has assiduously courted--quickly featured an unusual blind quote on its homepage in which an unnamed "top Hillary advisor" said debate moderator Tim Russert "bordered on the unprofessional." Joining in the attack on Russert was Media Matters, the liberal press-watching website founded by former Clinton-hater turned Clinton ally David Brock. Many in Washington believe the campaign feeds material to Brock's site, as when Media Matters went after New York Times reporter Anne Kornblut last July after Kornblut misrendered a quote that led to an erroneous story claiming Hillary had criticized fellow Democrats. Not only did Clinton aides fume to the paper's editors, but Media Matters pummeled Kornblut and the Times for several days. (A count of Media Matters stories from October found 39 headlines defending Clinton, compared to 15 for Obama and just one for John Edwards. A Media Matters spokesman strongly denied favoritism.)

MMFA's MO: Defend everything HRC says, and attack ruthlessly anything that stands in her way.
MMFA needs to just re-register as a partisan pro-Hillary campaign organization.
"Media Matters for America is a Web-based, not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media." (emphais mine)
Just thought I would help you out with this. I copied this from the "About Us" tab. This site is just chock full of information. Check townhall for you fill of conspiracy lunacy.

Sure they do... but I think we both know better, right?
However, if you think that statement is "true" it puts you in quite a terrible bind. You see, since that statement is itself left/liberal misinformation, and since you guys can only counter so-called "conservative misinformation", there is no way that you can understand how UNTRUE that statement really is - since by definition you have to ignore its total falsehood.
I feel so sorry for you having to live in such ignorance.

You really have a mean streak JT. After all, what could be more insulting than having You feel sorry for Us? LOL :-)
No it isnt. You are a lying, hivemind fool. Your weak propaganda is mostly stupid and never really worth reading.
careful you might upset his one track record of proving how much of a fool he is. Justicefortruth person gives enough spot light to themself to show the world just how bad these extreme right wing people are. I think as far as information gathering they do more to hurt Republicans then they do to help by showing their stupidty. Of course I'm sort of bad I get a kick off of just how stupid people like Justicefortruth can be. Why is it anything related to the word truth and Republicans become a lie?
"So-called"? Are you kidding me? All this site does is put the actual words and statements of reich-wing simpletons on display for anyone with a shred of intelligence to see how they mis-inform, mislead, and generally miss the facts at every opportunity! The conservatives, especially the neo-cons, cannot win without cheating and lying about their real objectives/intentions. Which is, quite simply, the undoing of the American middle class!
To Republicans truth has a liable Biased so anything that is truthful is bad to them. They can't stand being caught with their lies. The only reason why right-wing hate radio has worked for so long is because nobody was there to catch them. That is why so many Bushbots are here to defend Pill Popping Rushie because the drug addicted helps spread their lies.
JT, you are right as usual. Thank You for your input. Look forward to your next TruthyPost. I believe that your talents and vision are wasted here. No one can possibly argue with you. It is like Michigan playing Appalachian St., you can't lose. You are my hero.
MMFA defends Hillary more than the others, because she is attacked more than the others. Ever heard of the concept often refered to as LOGIC?
Justice and Truth in the USA - Fact Check Edition:
(you said) MMFA defends Hillary more than the others, because she is attacked more than the others.
The liberal New Republic says -
Despite all the grumbling, however, the press has showered Hillary with strikingly positive coverage. "It's one of the few times I've seen journalists respect someone for beating the hell out of them," says a veteran Democratic media operative. The media has paved a smooth road for signature campaign moments like Hillary's campaign launch and her health care plan rollout and has dutifully advanced campaign-promoted themes like Hillary's "experience" and expertise in military affairs.
---- end quote ----
The fact is that Hillary is NOT getting more negative coverage - she and her proxies at MMFA are just whining more.
The moral of the story? It's not just enough to have heard of the concept of "logic", it's more important to USE IT.
Yes she is. The Clintons are an obsession with the rightwing. You are a brainwashed fool
"It's not just enough to have heard of the concept of "logic", it's more important to USE IT."--JT
I tried telling you this when we were talking about the Fairness Doctrine, the post you failed to answer. Must've been because you had a hard time understanding why a right wingers hero would abolish it, leaving the media to be overun unchecked by Liberals.
In other words: I'm still waiting for an answer.
The moral of the story? It's not just enough to have heard of the concept of "logic", it's more important to USE IT.
Let us know when you think you've started doing that, ok? If you want a head start though, toss out your limbaugh books. That copy and paste quote was from page 47...
The Rick -
I hope I never hurt MMFA's feelings, it's just that I have a big, empathetic heart.
You sure are caring more than usual tonight, especially for a selfish right winger. :-)
No you dont. You have a substandard brain, and an ignorant, hivemind fueled life without a shred of decency or a hint of reality
Justice and Truth in the USA - Fact Check:
You have a substandard brain...
That's not really my fault. When the scientist was building me he dropped the 'normal' brain and had to use the one that was left.
I think it came from "Abby" someone...
Young Frankenstein
Fredrick: Would you mind telling me whose brain I did put in? Igor: And you won't be angry? Fredrick: I will *not* be angry! Igor: Abby Someone. Fredrick: Abby Someone. Abby Who? Igor: Abby Normal. Fredrick: Abby Normal. Igor: I'm almost sure that was the name.
(ok, I cribbed this one)
Truffy, Once again, you are the smartest person here. As well as the most honest.
Hmm, I gotta clean my ears. I thought for sure you said you were a big, pathetic @ss.
You're not confusing the size of your heart with your pomposity much at all, no.
Rush is a LIAR. Rush is lying. YOU are just a moronic shill baying at anything Clinton and still mezmerized by the Clenis. Take the plunge, get out of the closet, and PLEASE try to make some sense and talk about the subject one of these days.
It really should be obvious to anyone:
More misinformation about Hillary = more items here about Hillary.
I fail to see how an adult cannot grasp a simple equation.
What's the reason for this? Stupidity? Irrational hatred of Hillary Clinton? Turning a blind eye to that 'simple equation'? All of those?
It looks like Rush's unhealthy obsession with Hillary Clinton is returning to full blown psychosis mode again. I get the feeling that every second of this man's miserable exsistence is spent thinking about Mrs. Clinton. Rush uses his radio show to fulfill his stalking fantasies concerning Hillary. Didn't Rush blame his drug addiction on the fact that Hillary won't succumb to his undying devotion. I smell a John Hinckley -- Jodie Foster type of sickness brewing here.
"I smell a John Hinckley -- Jodie Foster type of sickness brewing here."--Flint
You think Limbaugh has a thing for John Hinkley?
Just wait if Hillary wins the White House. I have nothing against hillary, but I like Obama a little better. No matter which Dem gets it the right-wing are going to attack worst then they did John Kerry. We all have to be ready for it. If they manage to some how get Media Matters taken down fans of Media Matters have to be ready to put two or three right back up in it's place.
We the people need to stand alert because what the right-wing hates the most is that we have a voice. They spent millions setting up their noise machines then the internet came along catching them now they can't get away with it anymore.
Say what you want about Rush, oxy, viagara, cysts, etc. But at least with him, you know exactly where he stands on the issues, unlike my current Senator from NY, who can't make up her mind on whether illegally invading parasites should have driver's licenses. IMO, she put a call into Spitzer's office and told him to nix the idea (which he did today) so she wouldn't have to debate it anymore.
Parasites? Funny, to me they are just friends, neighbors, human beings. But what do I know, I never listen to Rush.
"...illegally invading parasites..."--Dave
The proper term is Parisians.
And in my opinion he got the word from aliens from Betelguese. I have as much to base my opinion on as you do your. Bigot.
Bigot now?
A bigot is a prejudiced person who is intolerant of opinions, lifestyles, or identities differing from his or her own.
I failed to see the word "criminal" in there. Yes, I will discriminate against criminals. I don't care if they come from Canada, Mexico, or Betelguese. That's not being a bigot. Nitwit.
Criminal is a fair comment. Calling human beings parasites makes you a bigot MORON
Parasite is also an accurate term...that living off of the host thing with no benefit to the host applies. They are parasites. And believe it or not, 75 percent of this screwed up liberal state agrees with me. They are not welcome here and certainly do not get free reign of the roads with valid driver's licenses. MORON
Please expand on that comment about no return benefit. I think a lot of your republican business owners may think differently, perhaps you can prove me wrong?
You idiot, they already drive on our roads, they just do it unlicensed and un tracked. You right wing terrorist obsessed freaks ought to love this! I mean, right now, these "illegal" immigrants are roaming around completely undocumented. This would be a way to DOCUMENT them, keep track of them. Police in New York WANT this. It helps them do their jobs.
THINK! Please.
Dave, could you please site the 75% statistic? I'm curious where that came from (besides your a**)
Are you questioning the validity of a statistic pulled from Dave's ass? I find it hard to believe that he'd keep a statistic there without first checking it's accuracy! :-)
I feel so sorry for you that you have such a total lack of empathy. Whoever it was that screwed you up as a child, forgive them and see a shrink for the betterment of humanity.
I feel so sorry for you that you have such a total lack of empathy.
If you have empathy for criminals, you are the one who needs therapy....not me.
Other than the fact that they are in this country illegally, which is basically a formality, how else are they criminals?
Other than the fact that they are in this country illegally, which is basically a formality, how else are they criminals?
I had to cut/paste this post because my friends would not believe it otherwise.
Are you going to answer him? Is it there status as "Illegal" immigrants all that makes you hate them so vehemently? Or is there some other reason for it outside of this "illegality".
Go ahead, just let it out, Dave. You're among friends. Tell us you're a bigot now and the healing can begin
Nope, no other reason than than that are here illegally. Kind of like watching the guy blow by me at 87 miles per hour on the I-90 wishing the NYSP Troopers would nail him. I have no prejudices. I simply disagree with illegal parasites getting NY licenses.
Why is it that during the first 6 years of the Bush regime, the LAWMAKERS..controlled by the Republans never gave a hoot about these criminals(?). You probably never gave a crap either but now, you carry a big stick and wave the American Flag..you are a PHONY AMERICAN who has someone to pick on. By the way, what did the Republans do about this issue?
if the guy blowing by you at 87 miles per hour an american is he still a parasite ?
No, just a criminal but the Repubs will say.."At least he is American"
It's too bad you never had to go through the "legal" process to get here. That process, which has only been in place since the late 50's, is so full of red tape and political snafu's that it's no wonder that most who just want to come here to earn an honest living would prefer the route you hate over the route that costs thousands of dollars and takes several years. Maybe then you'd appreciate why it's such a joke considering I can go to any airport in the world and find out almost instantly if I'm on the no fly list...
Snoop,
Illegal is illegal. The red tape dosen't scare me. Either come to this country legally or don't come at all. And leave your family home, we can't afford them either.
Easiest way to fight illegal immigrants ... STOP HIRING THEM!
Take away the incentive for them to come here, and they stop coming across the border to take jobs ...
NAFTA is the Republican wet dream that they get to blame on Clinton ...
Dave you are a bigoted close minded person.Your characterization of a human beings as parasites is disturbing. Once you have dehumanized a person then you can extinguish them or stomp them and that Dave goes back to a point in human history i thought we as a people fought a world war over. how you can criminalize someone for trying to feed themselves and their family is cruel and morally wrong. Your thoughts reflect the worst side of human history and are not conducive for the survival of the human race. Undocumented workers are not the cause of this county's problems but a reflection of the inequality and injustice that exist in it. Who next will you label parasite? Take off your jackboots and join the human race you backward knuckle dragging buffon!
We both know, deep down, that we are not talking about criminals. However, it is possible to (gasp) have empathy for criminals.
I have seen here, and in many other posts by you regarding groups of people who don't look like you, or do not make as much money as you do (or at least pretend to here), that your lack of empathy extends far and wide. Therefore, my original expression of sorrow and my suggestion of professional help still stands.
We both know, deep down, that we are not talking about criminals.
We're not? What are you talking about?
In your case, your bigotry isn't "deep down," but right on the surface for all to see.
I'm sorry that some illegal immigrant got that toilet-cleaning job you had your heart set on, but these things happen. Another job like it will come along someday, as long as there are Rep[ublicans who won't pay minimum wage for crapwork.
I guess Jesus needs therapy then, Dave.
OK, I'll play along. Need therapy for what? I doubt Jesus ever owned a home or payed taxes in NY so his point would be moot. Sorry, I'm not part of the religious right.
You said, "If you have empathy for criminals, you are the one who needs therapy....not me." I was just asking if you thought Jesus, who showed incredible passion for the downtrodden and imprisoned, should also receive therapy, in your esteemed opinion.
Funny, I have a few Native American Idian friend who think the same of you, DAVE. What is your familys' nation of origin. And don't say Wyoming? Oh wait, ask Rush tomorrow..then answer.
Well Prince, I don't need to ask Rush, contrary to popular belief. We are not the "hiveminders" that you guys think we are.
You can tell your Indian friends that they should've had bigger guns, than this would not be an issue. They would own this place. But at least they are here legally.
"You can tell your Indian friends that they should've had bigger guns. They would own this place. But at least they are here legally."
"Indians" did own this place. It was Dave's long-ago, white ancestors who came here --illegally, in effect--, and took it from them. With their "bigger guns".
Dave feels he has learned something from history.
Btw: What's he learned?
Dave wants him some big guns and big walls.
so if the "parasites" had bigger guns they would ok in your eyes u really are an idiot why are you here isnt dog the bounty hunter on ?
Dave,
"You can tell your Indian friends that they should've had bigger guns, than this would not be an issue. They would own this place. But at least they are here legally."
You imply that if people with "bigger guns" took over the USA and remade it into another country that it would be perfectly fine with you, because our nation today would be gone. But at least we would be here legally.
Republican value(s) = might makes right
"... But at least with [Rush], you know exactly where he stands on the issues..."
That's for certain. Exactly where the GOP tells him to stand.
Fair enough. But as you lefty's like to add, let's see some proof....cancelled check, phone tap, memo, etc from the RNC to Rush. Cough up the evidence.
Perhaps you'll take this man's word for it:
"The way I feel is this: I feel liberated, and I'm going to tell you as plainly as I can why. I no longer am going to have to carry the water for people who I don't think deserve having their water carried. Now, you might say, "Well, why have you been doing it?" Because the stakes are high! Even though the Republican Party let us down, to me they represent a far better future for my beliefs and therefore the country's than the Democrat Party does and liberalism."--Rush Limbaugh, the day after the Democratic party won elections to take over the house and senate.
http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_110806/content/rush_on_a_roll.guest.html
Tahat good enough for you?
I'm glad I scrolled down. As soon as I saw the "we know where Rush stands" garbage, I immediately thought of that quote, where he admits lying to his listeners for the sake of partisanship.
Or maybe he was just lying when he said that? Either way, we have no way of knowing when he's making a genuine argument and when he's being intellectually dishonest, by Rush's own words.
Dave, where does your hero stand on doctor shopping, sending employees out to pick up his drugs for him, travelling with prescriptions written for someone else?
I know where he stands on military service, if you call running and hiding serving.
"you know exactly where [Limbaugh] stands on the issues"
Oh sure, sure.
I mean, that is, with the exception of when dittoheads come here to tell us: "What Limbaugh really meant was_____", or "What Rush really was talking about when he said that was_____".
I love all this blather. Wolf now has to respond, as he should, as a tough correspondent and ask the tough questions. If he doesn't, he looks like he caved...whether he feared getting Fostered or not. If he does his job correctly, he'll likely enhance his stature.
and solong.... it's a debate for democrat-- candidates!!
Yes ProudMoron we all know how stupid you are. There, there, you can go play nice with the other special children now
The special children complain that he's boring.
So in other words he's going to play nice with you now?
If he wants to play, he has no option. The special kids won't play with him. They say he's boring.
Geeeez! Can't you read?
Rino, PC is trolling. The use of "fostered", the alteration of Solon's name, the use of "Democrat--" are all there to provoke irritation instead of a dialogue. He's not making any actual point, and it doesn't look like he's even trying to.
So if you really unfair for Solon to insult a troll who fired the first shot, then make that argument. Siding with a troll is just exhibiting blind partisan rancor.
Sorry for the botched sentence rewrite:"if you really think it's unfair...".
"...whether he feared getting Fostered or not"
Proudcon, excuse me for not being "hep" to your "lingo", but what is getting "Fostered"?
Taken in by an adoptive family, as in Foster children?
Covered in melted chocolate, as in Foster Freeze?
Being outfitted with groovy sunglasses, as in Foster-Grants?
I need to know.
To promote growth as in "foster new ideas."
A sugar coated cerial, ie: Foster Flakes, they're grrrrrrreat!
Being stalked by Hannibal Lechter as in Jodie Foster?
Evaporating the mist off your car's back glass, as in rear window deFoster?
[gotta go to bed, I'm getting stupid]
There's the Australian Foster's Ale. I wouldn't mind getting "Fostered" with that.
--"Fostered"--
They just loves them that Hillary-gunned-down-Vince Foster stuff. Like the dog with a bone, or the ten year old that won't let go of the blankie.
At least the bone and the blankie are real.
You're correct. I should have said Santa or the Easter Bunny.
Your dog believes in the Easter Bunny?
any chance we could all just agree that rush limbaugh is falsely telling american soldiers on duty in iraq and elsewhere that half the population back home enjoys when things go bad over there and that we like it when they get hurt or die? If we do agree that is the case shouldn't we unite behind that simple fact and try harder to get him removed from armed forces radio? Everyday rush tells the troops that democrats and liberals don't support them and don't care about them. That is false and that is harmful. It should be stopped.
Too much Vicodin causes people to say all kinds of weird things.
SOMEBODY HELP ME....why do any Republans care about the Democratic Partys' debate? But it is nice to know that they all watch. I wonder why? Maybe because there are some interesting people running for office while the pale faced Republans use their bobblehead movements to bow to their leader, President Cheney during the Republan HATE HILLARY sessions.
I think the normal bushbots here have been dipping into to much of rushies oxycontent.
Sean's partner Rush has a reservation to a correctional facility if he gets caught doing the "deed" in the Dominican Republic. Junkie Limbaugh could care less about Blitzer's children. He's just using Blizter to go after the Clintons. This radio fraud has no proof that Vince Foster was murdered-unless he was there and didn't say anything to the police.
Well, you know that ultra-liberal Ken Starr was protecting the Clintons when he declared the Vince Foster death a suicide ...
Exactly. Taz posted dozens of deaths here recently as if there's some evidence that the Clintons are something like a mafia family. But Starr investigates a land deal and a blowjob instead. Credible evidence of murder is not worth pursuing, for some strange reason.
Hey - this is basically the same "advice" Media Matters gave Blitzer in two stories yesterday.
All the items I see have to do with actual issues of honesty and fairness. But to you, I suppose that's "basically the same" as preferential treatment.
Then you may need some glasses to help you "see" between the lines.
Or you could actually post something to support your supposed point. If you want to read a list of things that they shouldn't misrepresent and say that the bottom line is that they should ask softball questions, then that's your assumption of their meaning. A radical, baseless assumption at that.
Prove me wrong.
You forget that WC and other right-wingers know how to read between lines and mind-read.
It's a very convenient skill only certain gifted ones possess.
Helps when you need to explain "what Rush really meant was...." or "Bill Clinton was really talking about.....".
This ability enables one to say so-and-so really meant this or that, despite what the person actually said.
Btw: you do need those special glasses.
It seems to me like WC was chastising people for interpreting Limbaugh when he made his "phony soldier" remark. Nobody had any possible way of knowing what he meant except himself, etc, etc, no matter how well explained and well-founded the interpretations were. But now, it's obviously a much different story.
Why all the fuss?
Haven’t any of you realized that Rush is only continuing in the grand tradition of The Mercury Theatre on the Air? Stop taking this broadcast fiction so seriously.
Why does Limbaugh get a pass when he comes right out and says/intimates that the clintons had something to do with Vince Foster's death, that indeed, the "suicide" was not a "suicide" and that Wolf better watch out, because he will be the next one in the park!
I am so sick of the "right's" sick minds, sick spokespersons, sick conspiracys.
Why does he continue to have a public showing of his hate?
Here ya go, Limbaugh, just for you, a quote from Vince Foster...
"I was not meant for the job or the spotlight of public life in Washington. Here ruining people is considered sport." VF
Limbaugh tries to ruin people for sport. To bad he doesn't take Foster's own words to heart.
“However big the fool, there is always a bigger fool to admire him.”
— Nicolas Boileau-Despréaux (1636–1711)
Comedian is not a stupid man but he is an ignorant man. He is driven by ideology and if the facts don't square with his lunatic fringe ideology, he has to pull his own "facts" out of his bulbous rear end. If he did not have this special gift he would go into full meltdown mode.
His listeners, however, do believe what he says no matter how asinine his "facts" tend to be. I've heard Comedian tell his followers that "they" think you people (ditto-heads) are stupid, hayseeds, etc, etc. No, no, my lunatic fringe friends...we don't think you are stupid, but you, like your fearful leader are indeed ignorant...and perhaps a hayseed - who knows (or cares).
I read in an earlier post that Comedian "hovers" around the truth. Could not agree more.
Hovers around- never touching.
I am amused whenever Limbaugh talks about the Vince Foster matter. I am more than willing to believe that Hillary killed Foster if there were just some evidence for it. I have looked for something substantial on the internet etc. There is so little. on the other hand I have heard Limbaugh describe any other conspiracies as grassy knoll stuff. I am always amazed at how much inconsistency he gets away with. And even more amazed at the sentient beings who never seem to notice it.
If only we had a free press in this country, if only people in the media would tell the truth, if only the people would turn off the radio and the tv and talk to one another........... well, it won't happen. It is sad to see the end of a once great nation. Newspeak is all we have left. Poor us.
Hey thanks MMFA, I missed that portion of the show and I'm grateful that you provide such a long recording. I just love him don't you.
