Fox News' Hill's take on newspaper article: "[S]omething about what Sen. Clinton said just sort of drove [Eisenberg] over the edge"
During the December 3 edition of Fox News Live, while reporting on the arraignment of Leeland Eisenberg, the man accused of taking hostages at the Rochester, New Hampshire, presidential campaign office of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY), host E.D. Hill reported that Eisenberg's wife "claim[ed] -- and this is according to the Sunday Citizen newspaper -- her husband had been binge drinking for three weeks and desperately wanted help with his problem." She added, "He claimed that he couldn't afford health care. And something about what Sen. Clinton said just sort of drove him over the edge. That's kind of what it appears to sound like." In fact, in a December 2 article, The Citizen of Laconia reported that Eisenberg's estranged wife, Lisa Eisenberg, "said her husband had been binge drinking for more than three weeks and 'ran out of options,' " and that Eisenberg "watched a televised campaign ad for Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton. In it, a man identified as Joe Ward tells viewers Clinton helped him get health insurance so his son could have a life-saving bone marrow transplant, Lisa Eisenberg said."
In that campaign advertisement, in which Ward discusses Clinton's assistance in getting the providing hospital to absorb the medical cost for his son's bone marrow transplant, Clinton's only statement is: "I'm Hillary Clinton, and I approve this message." In contrast to Hill's report that "something about what Sen. Clinton said just sort of drove [Eisenberg] over the edge," ABCNews.com reported:
Eisenberg apparently went to the Clinton office because he saw an ad on television, in which a New Hampshire man said Clinton helped him get health insurance.
Eisenberg told a family member he was going to do something to get in the hospital. The next day witnesses say he walked into the Clinton office, wearing what he said was a bomb, demanding to speak to the senator.
From the 2 p.m. ET hour of the December 3 edition of Fox News Live:
HILL: We know this now. That man, Leeland Eisenberg, the man who said that he was packing explosives when he showed up at a Hillary Rodham Clinton campaign headquarters -- excuse me -- campaign headquarters up in New Hampshire last Friday is going to be held on a half-million dollar bail.
And apparently what folks are saying is that this guy's had a history of mental issues and other things going on in his life. His wife had just filed for divorce. She claims -- and this is according to the Sunday Citizen newspaper -- her husband had been binge drinking for three weeks and desperately wanted help with his problem. He claimed that he couldn't afford healthcare. And something about what Sen. Clinton said just sort of drove him over the edge. That's kind of what it appears to sound like.

Something kind of appeared to maybe cause that. Great job of getting to the meat of the news there lady.
Well, she's on Faux, and is blonde. Nuff said.
Oops! Sorry Jeter, I already broke my promise! ;)
GRRRRR
I did use the Faux qualifier, so it only applies to blondes who are on Faux. OK, reaching a bit. Does sorry help?
Ha! Snoop, I knew you couldn't last. But I didn't figure you'd crack so soon. Perhaps my request drove you over the edge? ;-)
Let's be real here. This guy Eisenberg was already over the edge. And tis true Hillary did not say anything to make him go totally berserk. However, this ad with Joe Ward telling viewers that Clinton helped him get health insurance probably did spur the guy on to seek her help.
Of course there were other ways to get her attention that didn't include taking hostages...
I agree, he probably saw that she helped someone else and in his drunken stupor figured she might be able to do the same thing for him. Now I have done some pretty stupid things under the influence, but I can't recall ever thinking strapping a bomb to my belt and taking hostages was a good idea.
No, really. I can't recall. I was drunk. ;)
He was probably driven over the edge because he couldn't get treatment and thought his best chance for help was to take this step. Another reason that we need some type of health care for all.
Wonder what Ms. Hill would be saying if he took O'Reilly's people hostage?
Oh, it'd probably be a national emergency with wall-to-wall coverage complete with shrieking hysterical Billo listeners thrown in the mix for s**ts and giggles. Bush and Cheney would call for a military strike and afterwards we would be treated to an endless war on libs. Say goodbye to the Northeast and the Pacific coast as those areas would be vaporized with small pockets of lib strongholds being hit as well, such as Austin.
Jee- Zus!! With reporting like this, *Mr.* Hill should just drop the mike and go next door to the local bar and start making up his sh#t to the other patrons and see how many laughs he gets...
sorry... *Ms.*...
Any quotes from Mr. Eisenberg that prove Hillary's ad 'sort of drove him over the ege', Ms. E. Ditzy Hill or are you just spewing typical Fux BS?
Something *Ms.* Hill said just drove me over the edge... oh, yeah- her *reporting*...
"That's kind of what it appears to sound like."
Tentatively, it sort of looks like HIll appears to have probably gotten this one kinda wrong.

Maybe....
:-)
Anyone else find odd Edith Ann Tarbox's mixture of visual and sonic ? "Appears to sound" ???
At least she didn't say "some people say".
Another Fox news bimbo with NO SHAME
Isn't she the same InfoBimbo who used to flash her gams on FOX and Friends? I wonder what she did to get the promotion...
Dunno exactly but I'm sure there's some geezer there at Fux HQ walking around with a stupid grin on his face...
At FoxLies, what other kind of grin could there be, than stupid. in a variety of flavors?
FOX really has no shame whatsoever.
Just like their loyal audience. Every last one of them.
"I'm Hillary Clinton, and I approve this message."
Frankly, I think that might have been the straw that kinda broke the camel's back, sorta. :-)
Sure it would break the back of you HDS sufferers. Seek professional help
(snicker) check out this great photo of Edith ...

The story today shouldn't be about someone "being driven over the edge" by Senator Clinton, but about how the entire world had almost been driven over the edge and into war with Iran by Darth, Dumbo and the rest of the neo-cons.
Wasn't Fox News sort of in favor of jumping into that abyss?
The FOX Liars are gradually implanting the notion that this incident was Hillary's Fault into the feeble minds of their core audience. Don't you think they're combing this guy's records to see if he ever contributed money to a Democratic campaign? if he did, he'll become known as a "Democrat Operative".
These aren't the Droids you're looking for.
LOL.....This is dumb even by Hill's standards.
Is there a bigger waste of airtime on TV today than this nitwit??
That would be hard to say. The competition for THAT particular honor is intense
What ever happened to personal responsibility? How about: This guy's a nut-job, end story. I love it. They couldn't prove it to be a Hillary PR stunt, but somehow it'still going to be her fault.
That's why I find this to be ironic. This is coming from the mouthpiece of the *cough* Personal Responsibility *cough* Party *cough cough*.
Yeah, I get it. Since this was an attack on a Dem campaign then Fux will trot out the BS-making machine and pin this as a 'Hillary stunt'. If it was on Julie Annie's campaign they would be calling for Eisenberg's head with no questions whatsoever.
In response to you and Tman418 below ... indeed ! It's Hillary's fault no matter what. If some nutcase attacks her or her people, it's because she drove the wingnut to do it. If a nutcase attacks any other candidate, Hillary is behind it (and we'll be forced to suffer the Vince Foster analogies again).
This is truly amazing. I don't remember any other candidate being as villified as she is. It scares me to think of what the wingnuts are developing behind the scenes.
<>Fox News="It's Clinton's Fault!"
The repugs broad casting network Fake Noise.
I have often wondered what ED stood for or if her first name was Ed and then she had it changed. But that really should not matter if she worked at MSNBC in a prior life.
Her name is Edith Ann Tarbox. She's been married 3 times, her latest husband has last name Hill. ED comes from Edie (Edith).
She looks like she gives her hubbies 'ED'. No wonder the marriages failed.
Message from Hill and Faux to politicians: Don't go out of your way to help any constituant less another might feel slighted and go 'over the edge'. Your only job is to pander to lobyists.
So much for the value of "Write your Congressman or Senator", America! Another example from Faux News showing who the "un-American" folks really are.
How does anyone take Faux serious?
